the final boss DON CABALLERO

>shoegaze

>the year of our lord 2018
>math rock

>prog rock

What's the problem exactly?

Math rock is irrelevant, masturbatory music and has been for about a decade.

what's funny is that these album covers give me the feel of menacing final bosses

>masturbatory music and has been for about a decade.
Alright, at least I know not to take you seriously.

>hip hop

>folk

>avant-prog

Band?

*blocks your path*

Britpop

*teleports behind you*

jazz guitar

>didn't quote irrelevant
So you admit math rock is irrelevant

Good album but it's more like the tutorial than the final boss
It's folk for people who don't listen to folk

We're not looking for the best, we're looking for the final boss. The final boss isn't always everybody's favorite

music

t. scaruffi

oh fuck off

indie rock

Hip hop

What is this?

pop

final boss of math rock

don caballero

Who cares? Many genres are irrelevant, that says nothing about the quality. If we were to go by that, hip hop is modern classical music.

don cab - what burns never returns

>Black Metal

>Indie Rock

>post-hardcore

"Don Caballero is the final boss of Math Rock"
-Sup Forums

>I'm an aspiring contrarian that can't offer alternative opinions because idk wtf I'm talking about

Listened to the first 5 mins of this album and shut it off, wtf was that?

R&B

volcano almost actually fits this

>Twee Pop

what's the final boss of jazz, Sup Forums?

nik bärtsch desu

IDM

One sitting only. No pausing allowed.

>emo/punk

I feel this is more like the endless onslaught of minions you're required to defeat before you can access the boss

>power noise

music, generally speaking

not even remotely. MAYBE atmospheric black metal, but honestly not even that.

Mastery - Valis is the real final boss of BM

Nothing personnel, kid

Hella, a bunch of jap bands

neo-psychedelia
lolnah
maybe lo-fi indie, but not indie rock itself

that's by far Boredoms's easiest to get into release.

yeah true but their other stuff is hardly neo-psych. more noise oriented

I'd say Super ae is much better as a final boss for neo-psych

prog rock

Hip hop

what is this

I'll allow it

Classical. There's a lot to chew on analytically, I mean. Gruppen particularly, but Kurtag take time to think over too

I'm just getting into them friend

Why do people find this difficult to listen to? It's comfy, hilarious and packed with riffs and great drumming

Interesting

b8

challenging indeed

love it

>Drone

That bass line sounds like a fart

seconding this, especially if you take it all in one go

no genre is final boss
all genres are just mini-bosses
we have yet to hear the final boss

>Why do people find this difficult to listen to?
Look at this guy. He doesn't understand why people find an avant-garde album with polyrhythms, atonality, and awful production created by a homeless madman with no music training a challenging listen. I'm impressed!

Misconceptionfags be like

It's not 'atonal' you silly goose, 'polytonal' is a more acceptable word. It's polyrhythmic, but so is plenty of jazz. Bad production isn't hard to appreciate if you like punk or black metal.

I mean, why don't people find it fun to listen to? I saw this retarded Vox video about TMR and they called it awful sounding. It isn't really, it's just a bit different. It's funny music

>hip hop

hip hop is just nigger horseshit
this thread is about final bosses not shit babies

Rock

This is my go-to pleb repellent

Onkyo seems like the final genre boss itself to me, but this

google it

Editcore

god i fucking love that album, good choice op

im pretty sure there are longer drone albums out there

meh

lol no one cares about hella and damon che is a more capable and interesting drummer than Zach hill.
name some of those jap bands, and for godsakes nothing like toe please

most people cant even listen to jazz, from the perspective of someone who listens to pop / rock it will probably sound like a bunch of random notes

The real final boss will be Autechre's next and final album, "b1G 1".
It will be a single 36-hour symphony in 7 movements spanning 12 subgenres of IDM, with 3D stereo fields, frequencies that can't be picked up by humans and multiple finales.
To launch soon on their store price at 119,98€ for the entire 32-bit WAV file.

if any Naked City album would be a final boss, it would be Radio

we get it dude, you're just better than most people

that album is great

Can any1 post something for ambient music?

ryoji ikeda - +/-

A bit late but I think this would be a more appropriate final boss to math rock. Or if you just want really mathy stop-and-go stuff you could probably choose Sajjanu.

this is a good album but is extremely listenable

>we get it dude, you're just better than most people
Yeah, keep discouraging people who have something other than "it's shit" to say about music. What a lot of good has that done for this board.

And?
Super ae is too inconsistent compared to VCN.

Proto-post-new-wave-core-step

2/10, should've put gaze instead of step

how much hipster can we get?

i shed a tear. so beautiful
