This actually happened in real life. Mel Gibson n wanted to cut it out because it looked so silly but according to many veterans who were there, this shit actually went down.

Kill yourself shitposter.

No, it didn't. You made that up. It is physically impossible to shoot an assault rifle accurately with one hand.

Post the one with the screaming guy

>This happened in real life

Not like in that webm it did

>They also had a circle jerk before every battle
Why wasn't this included? I thought this was supposed to be historically accurate? DROPPED.

>Expecting full, complete realism in a movie

yeah why didn't they use real bullets as well just like in real life

why didnt they travel back in time to WW2?

retard

Terrible argument m8. The movie should be realistic on the screen, not the set. Nothing about this scene is realistic.

...

>Expecting full, complete realism in a movie

Nope, I'd expect at least a little bit though

>a war movie based on a true story shouldn't have realistic scenes
Yeah okay buddy. Suck Gibson's cock some more.

Yes, it is. I've done it in shooting tournaments; you just guide the impacts into your target. It takes way more ammo to do so, but it's not particularly difficult, especially at close ranges.

However, that's not the dumb part. A human torso is not going to stop a rifle bullet at that distance. If the torso was shot by a Japanese soldier, the bullet would just continue right into his body, so his plan is fucking retarded and his survival was independent of his shield.

You weren't using a 20lb BAR rifle while moving. I can guarantee you that.

You're right, I haven't, I've only used a BAR with two hands, but I was only a shrimp teenager then. I'm telling you though, it's really not that difficult. The BAR is so god-damned front heavy there's very little muzzle-rise when you shoot it; it's not particularly unrealistic that a grown man amped up on adrenaline could do it. He's even got it tucked into his waist and is bracing against the corpse, fully plausible. That doesn't excuse it from being silly visually, though.

Pure Christkino

Is this kino?
vid.me/MT2z

Wrong.

>accurately
He was just firing blindly into the japanese. I'm sure he wasted as many bullets as he landed.

Moments like these are what separate Gibson from boring, cardboard entertainment and pleb pretenders like Joe Carnahan.

It's fucking retarded, but it's also amazing. Gibson needs to make Beserker immediately.

>WAAAAH WAAAAH NO WAY A TRAINED SOLDIER COULD CARRY 100 POUNDS WITH ONE ARM FOR A SHORT DISTANCE

Holy fuck how weak are you

>group of veterans who actually fought in the battle praise its authenticity and commend Gibson for doing it justice

>group of basement dwellers still on their parents' cell phone plan say that its unrealistic

I am kekking so fucking hard

Jesus christ. It's not a meme. Gibson is literally insane.

He's like George Lucas with still existing talent.

>So, in this part, his face explodes

>Uh, Mel...I...Are you sure you want to do that?

>Of course. What's wrong with it?

>It's just...it seems a little over the top

>...Have I told you about the holocaust and typewriters before?

>20lb BAR
>100lb torso
>helmet
>10s of lbs of gear, loaded spare mags, grenades
>wet uniform, boots
>muddy, holey battlefield
>fog
>sprinting full speed
>firing at the hip with great accuracy
>torso shield obstructing half your view
>torso shield blocking shots from full powered rifle rounds
>thinking a torso will block rifle rounds in the first place
DAMN I didn't know the Master Chief fought WW2?

This movie is the physical manifestation of the batshit crazy war stories my grandfather told me about the time he spent in the army during WWII

He hated japs till the day he died, and his pure, undiluted racism and seething anger towards them was a cultural treasure that produced years of stories that he was happy to tell the only grandson who would listen to him.

>Nitpicking the details of a movie - a MEL GIBSON movie

Holy autism.

>waaah waaaah I'm upset that there's violence in my WW2 movie!!! I'm sure the actual battle was mostly bloodless!!!

this

>bro it's just a movie, turn off your brain
The reddit post

I don't get it. Are you saying that people didn't get shot in the face in World War 2?

post'em my nigga

see

...

haha, did Mel actually put that in a movie? He's such a shit filmmaker. Just like when that bitch is having a baby in rising water in Apocalypto. Ridiculous.

I don't believe you

>Dude there's no way soldiers lie or exaggerate war stories lmao

This. Everytime you tell a story related to the military it gets wilder for each time.

>The grenade literally flies out of the Japanese dudes hand, then is back in the next shot

Bravo Mel

alright now put a roughly 180 pound body in the other hand and try it running

>Dude I'm on Sup Forums I definitely know more about how it happened lmao

Please keep posting. I'm laughing out loud over here

Not wrong. The book it came from doesn't state this happened. It says a soldier picked up a body as a meat shield and provided suppressing fire. He didn't charge towards the enemy, he didn't mow them down and he definitely didn't fire 30+ rounds on a 20 round clip.

>warkino with some style of its own again that isn't just aping all the tricks of SPR/BoB

beautiful

projecting much

I'm not upset. I love it.

Re-read what I said. I said he's like Lucas with his talent still intact. The point was you can imagine the reactions of everyone around him raising their eyebrows when he lays out his crazy ideas.

>Bro it's a movie, not an autistic list of factually correct details

Turn on your brain and allow yourself to suspend your disbelief.

I'm saying there are tactful, less Sam-Raimi-ish ways of shooting a movie.

I don't expect (or want) Mel to do it that way.

Suspension of disbelief doesn't work when you're trying to make an authentic war movie based off a true story. The laws of physics need to apply.

Yes it does.

No they don't.

Mel's films exist in a heightened reality.

Holy fuck how do 400 poud fatsos are in the army in the first place? Hack Hackson.

His numbers are off, but a torso + head and arms is about 60% of your weight. Assuming healthy average adult male, that's at least 100lbs.

holy fucking shit

i might watch this movie just for tha laughs

This shit gets funnier every time I see it posted. Literally like a Three Stooges skit.

>no way could anyone do something thats not the proper way to do it!
are you autistic?

>strawmans
>calls other peoplea utistic

>what is walking fire?
The BAR has two different rates of fire to allow it to be more controllable

any more weebums? this is amazing

What's with all this random Hacksaw Ridge hate all of the sudden? Jews sending their henchmen out at this time?

>yuropeen
oh how sad are you, being born in the shittiest country on earth

It's just Sup Forums being contrarian.
If Sup Forums hates it, it's actually good.

Screener released pretty recently

>people actually praise this movie

Holy shit

literally faggots seeing things without pretext. I thought the war scenes flowed beautifully and I was on the edge of my seat. Was not ready for the battle to start.

Careful son, you're liable to rustle some Jimmies making comments like that.

It's still 20lbs being hip-fired with one arm. Stop making excuses.

1) Europe is a continent.
2) I'm American.

Well it looks like he landed like 20 bullets. A BAR mag holds 20 bullets.

Superhero movies have ruined action cinema

Post stories

vid.me/MT2z

How on earth can people take this seriously?

Holy fuck this shit better surpass bane posting. I'm not even being a hot head.

That accurate aimbot while holding a 150lb torso killing 20 gooks. Did he get VACd for this shit jesus christ Mel.

Screener leaked. People are reacting to out of context webm's. They have the wrong impression of the film (it's not a realistic, docu-drama - the shit is full blown Mel Gibson war/martyr porn, like everything he does).

> I'm sure the actual battle was mostly bloodless!!!
I love how this is the meme response to people mocking how cartoonishly, stupidly, belligerently over the top it was. That wasn't what war was like for them. Nobody was carrying dead buddy bullet shields while hip firing a BAR into a bunch of gook faces. Never happened. It's a cartoon. The weird closeups of people screaming before their faces explode was silly. It was all silly. Bullets travel through bodies. They provide no adequate cover from concentrated rifle fire, which we see happening. It's some John Woo fantasy bullshit ackwardly crammed into an otherwise self-important preachy goddamn movie.

>It's still 20lbs being hip-fired with one arm. Stop making excuses.

What, are you a little bitch or some something?

yeah you're probably right. Still looks cool though

>out of context webm's
There's nothing out of context about these webms you stupid apologist.

Capeshit shitskins are still upset about good ol mel calling dc trash just like the others

Because it's a very good movie.

If you're expecting a flat nature channel documentary from Mel Gibson, you're going to to the wrong movie.

Have you literally never seen Passion Of The Christ/Braveheart/Apocalypto

Did the unrealistic nesting patterns of Doves make you turn off John Woo movies?

>mel calling dc trash
BASED MEL

There is no part of them that is "out of context." We see the set up and follow through of the action sequence. There is no context in a war movie that makes schlepping a body as bullet shield successfully less stupid.

>It's still 20lbs being hip-fired with one arm. Stop making excuses.
What kind of pussy are you that can't hold more than 20 pounds in one arm.

>you need context to understand how improbable or stupid it is for a soldier to use a torso as a shield against rifle and mg fire while shooting a BAR one handed on full auto
Are you pfetending to be retarded?

The war scenes were brutal as fuck

Something finally beat Saving Private Ryan

People are complaining that it's not factually correct.

If they are expecting it to be authentic/accurate, then they either haven't seen the movie (hence out of context impressions) or they are severely, severely mentally handicapped.

I can't imagine what their reaction to Braveheart or Gladiator would be.

>Sup Forums loves Mel because everyone starts hating him
>he makes a based movie and comes back, gets deserved praise
>wahh lel mel is so stupid xD

Even in this fucking thread people are telling you this kinda shit actually happened in war. Deal with it

Itt: Jews trying to make goys hate on based mel.

Every battle scene in this movie made me grit my teeth and made me want to kills japs. How does Based Mel do it?

Ride his dick harder, homo.

Shouldn't of talked shit about dc movies then.

You tell me. Are you unable to understand the scene because you have not seen a Mel Gibson movie, let alone this movie, before, or are you just retarded?

Or are you just pretending to be retarded?

>authentic/accurate
There's a difference between that and unrealistic, defying the laws of physics crap in these webms.

Its only spic superhero drones saying this though.

>Because it's a very good movie.

Looks like ridiculous over the top shlock desu. Which would be fine, except I see it being praised as a deep and profound war movie.

>factually correct
Even if it is and it's not, it's still retarded in a movie.

youtu.be/_eUf_WnMcGI?list=LLxxIaHBmX4TYF6RtjmWhExQ

It gets heavy real quick when you have to hold it up and aim for long periods of time.

Shit, an M16 is only 8 pounds or something and I still have trouble keeping it steady after I've been holding it for a few hours. And yes, I'm a hungry skellington

>There is no part of that 30 second long webm's taken from a 2 hour plus movie that is out of context

You really are astoundingly stupid.

>There is no context in a war movie that makes schlepping a body as bullet shield successfully less stupid.

I can't imagine how triggered you were by A Bullet In The Head or First Blood.

THIS is the real reason everyone. Based Mel called dcucks for what they are, and they're mad

>Defying the laws of physics

Cool meme. Shame it's irrelevant.

This tbqh.

That one autismo user seems bootyblasted that someone, at some time in history did something that makes his pathetic existence look even more pathetic.

I have. We were soldiers was never this dumb. Though the bayonet charge at the end was pushing it a little. But this is full retard. Keep sucking Mel's dick.

I was Marine Corps, don't talk to me about shit you don't know about.

Fucking for forest.
