The rivers used to be home to massive Salmon when the Native Americans lived here. Now all the fish are dead because about 50 hydroelectric dams sit on the river system. It's the largest electric dam system in the world and it powers Washington, Oregon, and parts of California.

The funny part is that most of that water comes from the Canadian rockies so we steal a bunch of power from them >:D
