Reminder that electronic music is not real music, only music played on instruments is real music. Anyone can press buttons on a computer, playing an instrument actually takes skill.
pic related is real music

All electronic instruments are real instruments.

Did you have an argument?

reread my post

So no then, okay.

t. millennial

So, I take it you don't like pre 1978 Kraftwerk?

bait

>contains melody, rhythm, harmonic depth and sonic breadth
>not music
Nice try, rockist. Music played via computers doesn't diminish the music any less than instrumental based music. The only difference between that is the "skill" part, which is ignorant. You think pressing buttons, as opposed to composing a cacophony of sounds to form one song doesn't require skill?

Bait.

duh, and everyone here is falling for it

lmao go to bed gramps you're embarrassing us again.

>electric guitars
>recorded electronically
>played back electronically
>somehow this is not electronic music
What the fuck are you talking about

Art is the display of skill. It literally takes zero skill to play electronic music, but an instrument you have to learn and perfect over the years. Arranging computer sounds is trivial and even a 6 year old can do it.

Shut up you entitled millennial faggot, how about you stop fucking up the country and make a every little piece of shit art because muh artistic value

opened this expecting people to call out op for his bait and, wow, this board went downhill

if this isn't a bait go listen Aphex Twin and dare to come back and say that it isn't music.

In that logic, are pianists not real music because they press buttons on their keyboards?

IT'S FUCKING BAIT STOP BUMPING YOU FUCKING CHILDREN

Pianists are musicians, they have to learn to press the correct buttons with the correct amount of force in the correct order in the correct time. With a computer you can literally press a few buttons that make sounds and put them together and call it music. Literally 0 skill involved.

Wrong. Art may be enhanced by the technical prowess and talent of the artist, but ultimately, it's not a requirement to create eloquent pieces of humanity. Many works of minimalism reveled in their lack of complexity, often focusing on subtler, more subdued aesthetics. Intricacy in art is merely a preference; if you prefer highly technical works over the simplicity of minimalism, it does not determine that all art must follow your preference.

The whole essence of music as an artistic form of expression is to extract emotion for listeners to resonate with. Every true musician, artist, and band creates music with the sole intention of conveying emotions via the message and meaning of the song, so people could either contemplate how it relates to their intrinsic existence as a human, or regard a song as jovial fun and exuberance. In fact, art is what happens when dreams transcend our existence into a state of emotion we've never, or have yet to experience in our daily lives. Fantasies about the wand levitating the orbs to their sockets in order to unlock that marrow staircase to the door of lies is art. A sword that heals death lives in art. The palms of deities providing eternal slumber is art. Art is what happens when you learn to dream.
