I actually prefer this one. Whatd you think?

There's like 50 different shots in that movie that you could pick. The cinematography in that movie is excellent

I'm a huge fan of this one as well. Whole movie is kino as fuhk

pretty cliche but fuck is the composition satisfying

Put on The Assassination Of Jesse James By The Coward Robert Ford
>randomly

didnt want to seem like a scrub so I didnt post fury road but this shot gives me chills every time

...

FUCK

...

It's actually S1E15 (or 16 if you count the Pilot as E0)

Oh. I was talking about the kitchen shot from "Blood".

compositing is not cgi, well it is but it's not what is considered offensive cgi at least
it's literally the same as film overlay techniques
you shoot things in different shots and then composite shots together
if composite shots are a bad thing in your opinion, when is the cut off point? maybe artifical lighting and color correction should fuck off too? fuck editing too?

>a film filled with cutting-edge space age visuals
>God-tier soundtrack and sci-fi everything
>doesn't matter because at the 50 minute mark Kubrick makes the most unappealing sandwich in the universe the only thing you want in the world
fuck you and the practical joke you rode in on stanley

...

literally kino
You can watch this without any context and it still resonates on a deep subconscious level.

...

Coincidentally, it's exactly the one you posted, OP. 2001 has many god-tier shots but this one always struck me as the most atmospheric, creepy, future, etc.

Good taste

God damn that scene was intense. The voice, the lights. I wonder how many kids slipped into a seizure when this was released in theatres.
