>the best movie of 2016 is a 7/10 wtf i hate 2016 now
>calls itself a musical, when it only had 5 songs, and they were all short and forgettable >stupid plot, no buildup of the romance, they like each other almost instantly >they break up almost instantly too >not funny, even though billed as a comedy >just another dreams require sacrifices film by hackzelle, like whiplash
this is how i feel about Beyond the Black Rainbow. Sup Forums memed it up so high and it was just a nice aesthetic movie with very little interesting things to say.

>calls itself a musical, when it only had 5 songs, and they were all short and forgettable Agree, expect City of stars is pretty memorable, the little riff especially
>stupid plot, no buildup of the romance, they like each other almost instantly >they break up almost instantly too Agree it felt kinda rushed, it should've been longer, more characterization and time span
>not funny, even though billed as a comedy I thought it was pretty funny, mostly coming from Goose and Emma, not the film itself, but that's a blurred line
>just another dreams require sacrifices film by hackzelle, like whiplash That's reductive, but overall i kinda agree with you. 7/10, still the best hollywood movie this year

I feel like I'm having this movie shoved in my face more than usual. I don't like, and I won't watch it
