You realize how small Syria is? No sides need more manpower.
The BIGGEST battles in Syria have involved
Anthony Hill
Why would you want to spend 100k in one battle in the XXI century you faggot?
Easton Smith
>No sides need more manpower. I disagree. The SAA could do with an additional division or two, especially a fully-equipped one with plenty of artillery.
A big reason SAA's advances are so slow is the fact they cannot afford to take losses like ISIS/FSA can.
Syria is smaller than Poland, and remember how fast the Wehrmacht tore through that in 1940.
If the SAA had the manpower to simply swamp the enemy, this shitfight would have been over three years ago.
Noah Collins
I think that more than manpower, is support what make so long the Syria War. Assad now have more support after years just trying to deal FSA/Nusra with all the support from Saudi Arabia/Turkey/EU/USA
Hunter Stewart
Yes, ISIS/FSA get all that Turk/US/Saudi support, but if there were no rebels who could they arm? Who would they fund?
I mean; Captain Fritz Klingenberg captured Belgrade with literally six soldiers. A city that even then had over a million inhabitants. Sure, he had 40,000 men a day's march behind him, but he did the capturing, regardless of the support.
Blake Wilson
A thorough reorganization of the Syrian Military would probably be more than enough. So they won't need Russian advisers anymore. That would take years though.
Parker White
1st for Abu Hajaar
Logan Turner
True, but remember that this time is not only weapon what Turkey/Saudi/USA brings into Syrian Soil, new terrorirst and Al-Qaeda militants from other countries too. If you start to cut the support to those new militants, FSA/Nusra could be defected more quickly.
Brayden Sullivan
Yes, and that's the sort of reorg you can't do in the middle of a war, unfortunately.
I know. ISIS gets its reinforcements far too quickly, and this is a big part of why the SAA can't afford to take losses. Hence my point, that if the SAA had an extra 40,000-80,000 men who were fully equipped and trained in soe sort of armoured or mechanised division/s, ISIS/FSA would be doing what [pic related] did.
Ian Miller
>"Hey Mehmet, the SAA is coming, act normal" >pic related
I just saw a video of Peshmerga recapturing Sinjar, but they were heavily armed with (I dare to say) some armament close to state of the art ones. They also used uniforms, which seems surprising for a militia in such a place
PKK on the other hand seemed a lot less uniformed.
Of course there must be some racial differences and they come form different places, but who funds who in this war?
Aiden White
Almost all of NATO with the obvious exclusion of Turkey and some weapons support from Russia.
Kevin White
so they are like the most neutral faction? Considering that some NGO's are funded by the US/Western countries like the white helmets and Al-Assad is supported by Russia, China and Iran
also are NATO going to pressure Turks into stopping the ethnic cleansing they wanna do with Kurds or something?
Isaiah Edwards
Dude, than motherfucker have Chilean Blood, how do you make fool a entire city?
Cooper Powell
>how
Balls of steel, amigo.
Matthew Wood
>2 times smaller >impossible to fit 2 syria's into poland
Elijah Walker
Poles didn't have suicide bombers and SBVIED's though.
Lucas Watson
>different shape, roughly half of Poland's surface area...
They DID have artillery and aircraft though. They were outnumbered and outmaneuvered.
Hudson Martinez
>Kurds neutral Not really. The largest Kurdish factions are atheist or at least secular. But they are an ethnic nationalist group. As such they will screw over people whom aren't Kurdish. That is why last year or so the stories came out of Kurds demolishing non-Kurdish villages they had captured.
They are supported by the US & Friends minus Turkey, because they are the most effective fighting force that isn't the SAA. Russia supports them a little bit for PR purposes and to fuck up Turkey. While the SAA and them have a uneasy truce. Based on the notion that they will get a little more autonomy so long as they don't declare full on independence.
The Kurds aren't going to declare independence though. Because they know it will cause Turkey to invade Syria to murder every last one of them.
Easton Jackson

Thomas Bailey
Abu hajaar did nothing wrong.
Landon Murphy
>the ethnic cleansing they wanna do with Kurds
Best thing it could ever happen to the middle east.
Henry Garcia
Shiiit now I need to answer. Not 1940 but 1939 and not Wehrmacht but Wehrmacht and the Red Army. Still it took them a while.
Which tells us that the key to a (relatively) successful invasion is attacking the target from 4 sides.
Kayden Bell
>Which tells us that the key to a (relatively) successful invasion is attacking the target from 4 sides.
Warsaw, as the capital of Poland, no longer exists. The Polish Government has disintegrated, and no longer shows any sign of life. This means that the Polish State and its Government have, in point of fact, ceased to exist. In the same way, the Agreements concluded between the U.S.S.R. and Poland have ceased to operate. Left to her own devices and bereft of leadership, Poland has become a suitable field for all manner of hazards and surprises, which may constitute a threat to the U.S.S.R. For these reasons the Soviet Government, who has hitherto been neutral, cannot any longer preserve a neutral attitude towards these facts... In these circumstances, the Soviet Government have directed the High Command of the Red Army to order troops to cross the frontier and to take under their protection the life and property of the population of Western Ukraine and Western White Russia. — People's Commissar for Foreign Affairs of the U.S.S.R. V. Molotov, September 17, 1939 [69]
Daniel Perez
France then. Or Belgium. Or the Netherlands. Or.....
In any case, you swamp the target with people and firepower. The SAA is short of people, and hence they fai to advance swiftly.
Alexander Nguyen
YA BASHAR!
Wishing you all a good weekend!
Joseph Wright
Because only Syrian citizens can join the SAA
Carter Taylor
>so they are like the most neutral faction? More like the most politically correct. The Western MSM has only shilled the Kurds as good guys.
If it wasn't for the Kurds the West would have to do a lot of explaining on why ISIS is so powerful.
Russia just supports them because they are enemies with the Turkroaches.

So that's now like the 5th attempt of advancing in North Aleppo
Is this seriously so hard to take or are they just so much incompetent?
Connor Gomez
iraqi kurds aren't good with syria kurds last i heard
Liam Brown
Nah. They don't like each other because they speak different dialects, have different ideologies. if you want to know more about it, you can talk to Ser when he gets on. archive.4plebs.org/pol/search/tripcode/!!hC89R3FYL96/
Jeremiah Watson
Probably both, but if Al-Masdar announces a "massive offensive" then I guess this was just the first wave that was repelled.
Ryan Moore
It's starting to look rather grim.
Caleb Bennett
Yeah I know Ser from /k/, talked to him in his thread when he went to a gun show.
I haven't been following recent developments. Is it true that now that Assad is winning and IS being wrcked that the USA will step in to bolster the "moderate pro-democracy" rebels?
Connor Martin
The SAA has seriously been doing terrible this past month. What the fuck are they doing? What makes them think they can take Raqqa when they can barely hold what they already have back on their side? If it takes them days just to liberate a tiny village, they must be living in a fantasy world if they think they can take ISIS's main town of operations in the country while they're barely holding Aleppo.
Gabriel Mitchell
Currently nobody is winning but IS will be the first side to disappear from the landmap. The moderats will be next
Julian Jenkins
TBQH for a while I was daydreaming about how it would be to go there.
But then I see Open gates and think o myself that I dont want to die for those rapefugees.
If they didnt come here to rape my people and plunder our welfare state, than I would have went,
Maybe if The Netherlands leaves the EU
Colton Gray
Sup nigs, Im back, I owe you lads a few maps

How the fucking fuck are the government troops not able to advance?
How is it possible for the rebels to keep repelling offensives, even though they are bombed like non stop?
Why can't the government troops call in the big boy airstrike and then advance forward? I simply don't understand it.
Dominic Allen
>IS closing on Ithriya tries to remove last SAA Eastern checkpoints.
Why even bother helping the SAA at this point? It's a waste of time, money and resources. They are clearly incompetent retards.
Levi Davis
why is this general still a thing? Syria hasn't been relevant in like 2 years now xD

They should start dropping some fuel air bombs
Cooper Gonzalez
>SAA soldier starts running >Nusrats start shooting at him >he falls over >Nusrats start screaming : BY ALLAH WE GOT HIM!! >he gets back up and keeps running >turns out he just tripped on a cinder block oh my fucking god, Nusrats are even more PATHETIC than I thought the were. they literally can't even kill a nine of SAA soldiers right in front of them
Wyatt Price

It has been bombed non-stop by Russia with chemical and cluster bombs.

>It's starting to look rather grim. What do you mean? That path has been like that for a long time. It's just a highway and desert going trough there. ISIS/nusra lack a airforce to defend it.
Xavier Cooper
There's a slew of factions fighting on the govt's side, I'm sure one of them takes volunteers. Not speaking Arabic would probably be a pain in the ass tho.
Jace Bell
Dude, the SAA are in desperate need of more skilled manpower. Not all soldiers are created equal.
Robert Moore
Who cares, brexit is more interesting
Luis Young
the only way for such thing is to join the Russian volunteer army. most country's wont allow such thing.
Brody Ortiz
And there are ~34 threads about brexit and another 10+ directly related to it on Sup Forums, and only 1 about Syria
Your point?
Nicholas Garcia
Even the militias? What about the tribes? I mean it can't be that fuckin hard to pick up a gun and join the fray if you really put your mind to it. Not that it's not a horrible idea in general. 99% of Sup Forums would likely be a liability.
Decent chance the guys are full of shit but who knows....
Julian Allen
NOT ALLOWED. this is applied to the country's of the world.
there is a solution. which Syria can make something similar to the SS of the nazi Germany. but we have issues trusting foreigners as they are the majority of the rebels are not Syrians.
We are now kinda xenophobic now because the stuff we saw from the foreigners and only trust country's who are worthy of alliance and knowing of their true intentions. still you can go to the Russian embassy and apply for volunteer in there. (you can join the SSNP too! it is found in lebanon or Hezbollah [but i dont think they accept non shia])
