By listening to Tyler the Creator

What's wrong with his teeth?

won't

How do we remember Jimmy Buffet?

something looks really off about this picture, is it photoshopped?

that he was the goofier, sleazier musician brother of Elijah Wood

He was just soooo goofy. The throat cancer was a terrible shame, though.

Overrated trash.

it's fucking crazy how this dude was everywhere for a minute and then just fell off the face of the planet.

All depends on when he dies.

that's homeshake? fucking kek

Surf rock John Lennon.

he's gonna be one of those things you're embarrassed to admit you liked when you were younger like mallgoth or ska

He made indie more popular with normie teens.
Basically kids like Clairo were inspired by Mac.

also the allegations about him will gain a mainstream audience and music publications like p4k and stereogum will act as if they never liked him

>tap water goblin :D

Homeshake (pete sagar) used to be Mac's Guitarist for his first few tours.

fuck you, ska is and will always be good

why does everyone hate on mac so much?

w-what allegations, or are you just making a prediction that there will be allegations?

Like it or not, soycore is probably going to be the thing that brings rock back

jokes on you ska is great

he filmed his friend jacking off in front of a group of teenagers. there was an account of it online but it seems to have been taken down now. dead oceans knows about this and has been tying hard to keep it under wraps because he's their big money maker.
the guy he was in makeout videotape with is an actual rapist too.

>dead oceans
shit, i meant captured tracks. i always get those labels confused for some reason.
still, the point still stands.

one of the most significant rock artists of the 2010s, regardless if you like his music, he had one of the biggest impacts of any rock artist that started this decade. he also helped spawn a whole youth subculture and scene and his biggest songs have like 20 million+ hits along with his albums doing well on the billboard charts.

damn

I really like makeout videotape too

alex calder is a rapist yeah, mac jerking off in front of 16 year olds at a party was hot news at first but it didnt really do much damage, i remember hearing that around the time he had a new record (Another one or salad days)

It didn't do much damage because it didn't get much press at the time, but with all the #Metoo shit emerging those accusations could fly out quick/

20 million views aint shit, Macintosh Plus - 420 has twice that

that's because that song is a meme and considered the signature vaporwave song, it's not like vektroid is more well known than mac demarco though. thats also not taking into account tours, spotify/itunes/other streams, general name recognition, and of course looking at the other songs. macintosh plus doesnt have anything else that comes close to that view count or notoriety, mac has classic albums and hits under his belt.

20 million views is very impressive for the average independent artist, especially rock in the 2010s. and he has multiple videos around that mark.
