No because Casino Royale is fantastic but I see what you mean.

Why was Casio the only good Craig bond film?

It was the origin story. Everything else has been the same old stuff we've seen 25 times.

You don't even see much of the origin though

More is told in Skyfall and Spectre.

It's the origin of his personality, why he is such a cold womanizer and such.

Casino Royale is one of the better Bond movies.

Other than that, yes.

Is it just me or did it seem bond killed his first person too easily? He didn't show any feeling over the guy he killed in the bathroom.

>No because Casino Royale is fantastic but I see what you mean.

It's amazing how capeshit came along at just the right time to ruin Daniel Craig bond. They reboot the series into something more grounded only for it to go ridiculous right away afterwards.

Other than Casino Royale, which is actually good, yes

How was it ridiculous? The only craig bond film that had gadgets was Spectre.

Because they turned into shitty bourne clones instead of bond movies.

Quantom of Solace, Skyfall and Spectre don't feel like stories.

They seem like some people sat in a room and thought of some cool scenes bond could be in then invented tenuous links to try and patch them together.

Why? It's got some good action sequences, but the poker was ridiculous and it's overlong as fuck. When you think it's over it goes on for another half hour and then he goes on and on about muh Vesper for two more movies even though he only banged her for a couple of weeks and she betrayed him. Also, the villain goes out like a bitch.

This is true, but looking back it seems true of CR as well. Them going to Venice was obviously just so they could have a sinking building scene.

Nicholas Winding Refn flicks that aren't Drive..

This casino royal is a fuck boring movie. Even if it didn't lack car chases, decent sex scenes, Q, gadgets, Moneypenny, likeable characters, a proper gun barrel sequence, even if it didn't lack all those elements that film is still boring as sin. The Prince of Persia chase scene is fun and that's about it

I dunno how they do it, but it doesn't seem that way.

I thought Skyfall was visually stunning so it's OK in my book.

Last hour of Skyfall was pretty damn good, and the best part of the Craig era. However, like all the other movies, it should have been cut at least 20 minutes.

They couldn't just sleeve him a suave womaniser. He has to be psychologically damaged or some shit. Fuck this reboot shit no other bond had a reboot. He was married at one point all the pre Craig films might as well be a completely different series

>from the director of Goldeneye

It's still the best Craig Bond movie.

>Hello my name is blofeld
>Whoops I died 5 minutes after being introduced

Really?

Haha, #GamerGate, amirite?

Personality traits have origins. Some people don't like that fact because they think determinism delegitimizes it, because they are idiots. So quit sperging about it.

Was blofeld always Jame's stepbrother?

>Goldeneye

Best Bond though.

I feel like Christoph Waltz is overrated. His je ne sais quoi was interesting in as Hans Landa but it's gotten old quick.

well to be fair the movie cuts away after the kill shot so we don't really see his reaction right?

I meant to reply to the guy beneath you

I like these movies. Even Spectre. It's a serialized story that uses the franchise's history to its advantage to very quickly set up Christoph Waltz' character as having a lot of clout. It was a bit much but if you're bringing back an "older style" Bond villain it's not because they demonstrated any restraint in their characterizations.

Bond should retire and then go mercenary.

That way we get a new 007, if the MI6 still employs 00 agents.

After all these years when even Q and M retire Bond should go too. That or simply kill the series.

After Bourne and Kingsman I don't see many agent like movies reaching the peak that Bond movies had all these years

casino royale was good. Skyfall was well shot and worth watching for that. Pretend quantum of solace doesnt exist

Bond has been ruined by stifled sequelization. If they did something like the Dark knight trilogy, where the character and the universe are consistent but it takes place within a microcosm of the rest of the canon, it would work

What was the point of the DB10 in Spectre?

It's in the film for all of 5 minutes and serves no purpose.

Why did Pierce Brosnan's bond keep using BMWs? Rather unpatriotic 2bh

>what is German money

casino is kind of overrated but still a great movie. maybe a little too long and definitely awkwardly paced in the third act

quantum has a few interesting elements but is executed badly. beginning is almost an unintentional comedy

skyfall was pretty good until the third act shift to the house in the country. disastrously bad remainder

spectre is almost die another day tier

so yea, kinda. although quantum is really the only one i "wanted" to be good. casino royale actually is. the mendes ones are too pleased with themselves for no fucking reason to have much sympathy for.

No that would be Louis Malle movies

Ah yes, world renowned English engineering.

youtube.com/watch?v=RKysEIVJfBs

legendary

As someone who tried to watch spectre yesterday, i can objectively say that it´s a piece of garbage. QoS is the second best craig bond and is actually enjoyable and rewatchable unlike skyfall

Why did it go so wrong after this?

English cars are garbage. Top Gear made fun of it, and they are Brits as fuck. Well, they should keep bashing them in The Grand Tour but I only watched 3 episodes of it and the magic was gone, so I don't know if they keep bashing them

Skyfall was really bad. Why do people pretend that it's the best nu-bond?

Casino > Quantum >> Skyfall >>>> Spectre

Martin Campbell knows how to reboot Bond. See Goldeneye

Reminder that Craig literally blamed Austin Powers for his movies being bland joyless action shitfests ashamed of the 007 franchise.

There's a longer cut of the scene on youtube

Also
>spy
>showing remorse over killing somebody

Lel

>Bond wants to chase villain in his Jaguar
>it doesn't start
>movie ends

I don't like daniel craig.

Source?

I was very underwhelmed by the woman's subplot in Quantum.

>What is Aston Martin

He's good in Casino though.

avclub.com/article/daniel-craig-says-austin-powers-fucked-james-bond--212553

>blame
Surely you mean thanked? The super spy shit is old hat and deserves meme status.

Me neither, he's not a conventionally handsome man. His face looks funny. I feel like pic related has a good Bond face.

Are you fucking retarded?

>someone pokes fun at your nation's inability to surpass Germany's engineering
>Y-YOU'RE RETARDED

What has engineering got to do with what car appears in a Bond film you fucking fat nigger.

German cars are over-engineered pieces of shit. That require special tools to work on.

>Want to undo that bolt? You'll need to buy our low cost propitiatory Audi spanner goyim

crashing the plane (with both surviviors) in quantum
opens with an over the top chase
some general dumb shit I'm sure, it got a bad rap but its definitely no Casino Royale

Skyfall had the home alone and ridiculous villian

Specre was shit

The plane bit in Quantom serves no purpose. Why does that scene even exist?

>world renowned English engineering

British engineering is world renowned.

>when a real life murder on television has better shots than your Bond movie

JUST

setpeice I guess

I just remember they get into a fight with another plane or something, lose engines, crash into a fucking Bolivian chasm and they just sorta fall out, hit the ground and they're ok?

>Watching Tomorrow never dies

Why is this better than all craig bond films?

Why are terrorists always white in James Bond films? Hardly realistic.

Because whities control the world and darkies are largely incompetent.

QoS is the misunderstood masterpiece of Craig era.

A
FORD
FOCUS

Casino Royale > Skyfall > Spectre > shite > Quantum of Solace

Pretty shit run as Bond considering he only has two good movies.

>Talking shit about pusher and bronson
Son i am dissapoint

Bullshit user. It was a victim of the writer's strike. They began filming without having a finished script. Its a confusing mess of things happening because its a confusing mess of things happening. Its got some cool scenes but the movie is fucked.

I knew they were going to be shit as soon as I heard they cast Daniel Craig. I was not proven wrong

Also Casino Royale is so overrated that it's absolutely bizarre

user its not the first guy hes killed, just the first assassination. They recruit the 00's through other branches of intelligence and military. Bond holds the rank of commander.

don't forget the shaky-cam, one of the worst ideas in cinematic history

It says in casino royal that you get promoted to 00 status after your first kill in the line of duty though

Because the plot is capeshit tier and people like capeshit

>Personality traits have origins
Yes, the origin of your personality is the chemical in you mom's body. Real life isn't like movies man. The reason you're a lazy fat slob isn't because you were traumatized, it's because you were born a lazy fat slob and you'll die a lazy fat slob.

>Why does that scene even exist?

It's just a chase scene and a way to get them into the underground cavern fast.

Honestly, I can make sense of QoS but it required paying very close attention to what the characters were saying. Same with the shaky cam fight and chase scenes. It's a movie that works much better on a computer where you can easily pause and rewind if you miss something.

Pro-tip while watching the Craig-bonds, watch Quantum immediately after watching Casino and it immediately becomes 10x better

>No expression
>Cape meme
>Can't act
>Can't wear a suit for shit
>Not gentleman

>everything is genetic because I say so
wew

The question you should be making is why did a real life assassination have better shots than a movie

>It's a movie that works much better on a computer where you can easily pause and rewind if you miss something.

it's stupid as hell, QoS simply has enough decent scenes to keep your attention on. Unlike Spectre which you have to force yourself to watch or Skyfall which you feel like it's trying to build up to something but after a while you realize it's just not going anywhere.

I mean compare this intro to the unimaginative borefest that is spectre youtube.com/watch?v=5Ds6f8TWHsQ
