++oppenheimer
how's the new Byrne album?
Havent heard anything from either of your charts, so respect to you for finding your own tastes and/or branching out.
Im going a little mad for swans at the moment
Retarded and forgot the chart
I was kind of disappointed, though it IS a clever pop album. I was expecting something more idk, wider across the board probably, considering it's Byrne and Eno

Hall of Thatch by Rome, which is strongly inspired by Gira and I'm p sure you'd dig it
I haven't heard anything on this aside from Home, Like Noplace is There, which is ridiculously catchy
Opinions on Donald Fagen's solo stuff?
is teens of denial worth listening?
Props for shopping in the missing KC covers, that's dedication
Hells yes. I like it more than TF. But as you can see from my 5x5, I'm a dirty pleb.

Reccs: Fuck Buttons - Tarot Sport, Deepchord - Liumin, Dean Blunt - Black Metal
haven't listened to any of Fagen's solo stuff, I'll check it out
I started with soundtracks for the blind which was a horrid idea. I didnt enjoy any of it until I came to The Sound, which is about an hour in. To be kind is probably the best starting point of what I've heard, that or white light from the mouth of infinity, which is a hell of a lot more accessible, less post rocky but still holds some of the themes and sensibilities swans tend to have in most tracks. So one of those two, then work backwards Soundtracks is still more accessible than the nowave stuff.
Awesome, I'll check that out later!
+ilyl, algernon, hotelier, dg, nn, mobo, bright eyes
~have mercy, velvetears
have you listened to commander venus?
I like it a bit more than bright eyes' stuff desu
Thanks for that Commander Venus rec. Loving it.
Been getting more into nowave so I think this time around I'll be able to get down with em. Thanks!
All the swans on my chart is post rock/punk, if youre already into nowave and the like then you could probably start anywhere.
