Lubricate the string path. This means the string tree, the nut slots and the saddles. This will probably fix it. If this doesn't fix it, add 1-2 springs to the trem.

Thanks! I used the guitar for Justinguitar and noise rock covers; I chose the neck position because it's easier to fabricate harmonics with software modeling, as opposed to fabricating the fundamental. With both those instruments, the pickup is wired directly to the jack, and all the signal processing happens in my DAW.
For the pickguard, I bought a sheet of acrylic from McMaster, and laser cut it from a scanned template. Then I sprayed it with Plasti Dip from the back (so it can't peel off).
Right now I’m working on performing tap choreography while also playing basslines (which is tough when the rhythms don’t match)… so basically I’m the exact opposite of a jazz musician.

K*rt was singlehandedly the worst thing to happen to offsets, Jesus Christ. Without him it would've been confined to cool art-rock status with Sonic Youth, Come, the Birthday Party, etc. Now punkfags buy them and mutilate them with humbuckers and play shitty music on them And you probably would still be able to buy vintage offsets for like between 1 - 2 grand
I'm not really the biggest fan either, I mostly just like their aesthetic. "Sister" and "Goo" are great albums though. If you just listened to entry level Daydream Nation stuff, you aren't getting the real deal. Don't go into them looking for technical guitar skill either, appreciate their songwriting and their talent for texturing True but their mutilation is at least a bit more tasteful.
