Yeah, it's not le so quirky xD as a Wes Anderson pic and the remember the 80s doesn't beat you over the head but those are still there if you're easily triggered. It's worth it for the visuals and memorable scenes + she's a likeable qt.

Not the guy you're replying to and I haven't seen Turbo Kid but I have seen one of their first shorts called Bagman. That short is essentially Braindead without the clever writing, so nothing to write home about. I wouldn't be surprised if the type of gore/comedy in Turbo Kid is reminiscent of early Peter Jackson (and inferior in every way).
