What is the black thing around the nut on your one tele. I see shredders use them but don't know what they're called. I'm assuming it's so open strings won't ring out
She probably lifts the bridge up with her hand and does her sick dives that way, people do that sometimes

I think I might have problem with my technique. When picking, my wrist/palm rests in a certain position on the bridge, but that position limits the range of strings I can comfortably pick with great speed/accuracy. So for example, I'll have a position to pick GBE, one for DGB, etc. Transitioning between these positions usually isn't a problem, but if I need to pick extremely fast successions of notes without any pauses, I'm unable to do so while simultaneously repositioning my wrist up and down the bridge.
Do I just have to keep practicing, or is this actually poor technique? Will I have to completely relearn how to pick? My picking is total shit when my hand is 'floating' instead of resting.
HELP ME....I taught myself to play at 14, been playing for many many years. I just realized I’ve been strumming downwards only like an autist. How do I unlearn such a long habit?
dammit im jealous how's your album making process?

I write and record a scratch version of the song on my phone with GarageBand so I can play around with ideas and listen to it more conveniently. Then when I’m satisified with the songs and feel like they’re ready I go to my buddy’s home studio to record it all. I’m about halfway through with my current one, I try to finish a project every season so I want to finish this up before summer.
Hudson Rodriguez
cool. are your songs crazy fingerpicked acoustic stuff or what?
Brandon Bennett
Yes and no. I wrote a metal album about cyrpto creatures like Bigfoot and the jersey devil. What I’m doing now is a lofi jazz guitar thing. I did a mathrock acoustic album that was a lot like that video though.

Thinking about getting a refret to stainless steel 6105 or 6100.
i use the reverb/delay for "ambient sounds" that is to say it's set to max reverb and max delay time so that it sounds like a whale just came on my amp when i dont feel like playing noisy parts
