Hmm ya i can see that. I like the general sound on the doldrums. Its definitely a different feel than house arrest. I just love every song on house arrest too much to not call it my favorite

I agree in terms of its influence on rock music, but as far as albums that have been as largely influential on underground and pop music as TVU were I'd say that either pic related or 6 Kiss are also strong contenders

i just feel like it has a few filler tracks that are way too lo-fi. i guess most of his albums do.

that's something I agree with. every album he's produced has some filler songs.. but the more lo fi the better imo. doldrums sounds like a dream, I love it so much. makes me feel like I am walking in a small town park drunk in the summer at 2:30am in the 1970's

i never use to care much for the doldroms but it has definitely started growing on me lately
