>Richard Dawson's Peasant
lol I am just listening to this

I think I understand this album

It's fantastic. Took me a little while to attune, now I love the passion and the sound of a group playing together. This might be a shit thing to say, but it reminds me of ITAOTS in a way - tuneless singing, acoustic guitar, and then the group roars in at the end and rouses everyone up.

most of the shit that you fags always claim americans "will never understand" is fucking awful and i'm glad that I haven't had to turn my brain off and become a mindless idiot in an attempt to "understand" this brainlet music.

This thread is now about albums that limey whineys can't understand

topkek
Foreigners will always be able to understand even obscure American work due to the dominance of America all over the world forcing American things into everyone ears. We understand your culture much better than you can ever understand ours, as you are not exposed to my countries music the way we are exposed to yours

picture book is catchy as fuck
worthless bastards

holy christ

i like this album but I don't get it

I'm American. Oasis' Morning Glory is one of my favorite albums ever. I'm not 100% sure I always "get" it, at least not in all the ways they probably intended for me to.

Came here to post this.

The OOZ by King Krule

Saw them live in the late 80s.

One of my favorite albums.

Rest of this thread is shit, though.

HIS WORST ALBUM

Whatever People Say I Am... If you weren't a Brit in your late teens/early 20s when this came out you'll never get it

A simpler time.

You do know that Beefheart was more popular in the U.K. than he ever was in the states, right? Decals was top 20 in bongland.

they were already quite seriously shit by then.

Popularity ≠ Understanding things

I can't understand how yanks like this album.
It is so quintessentially British!

You picked a bad example, Beefheart was fanboyed to fuck by the British music scene. Gang of Four, PiL, PJ Harvey, and the most popular DJ in the land, John Peel, they all loved him to pieces. I just don't see much of his inspiration in American music. Tool maybe.

I think I get this one.
