TEUCHERT

>Neuhaus' nasal duck voice
hehe

>the absolutely fucking state of the ÖFB
Who else here ready for the wild ride into outside the top 100 ranked nations?

anschluss when?

I like the one-sided meme rivalry we have going, I just want the ÖFB to be managed by someone competent and not by a guy without any concepts who crawls up the ass of the 9 state presidents and will most likely make Andi Herzog head coach

On an unrelated note, we've got a Swiss coach with German top-flight experience and several domestic titles, anyone interested?

Could be worse, you could have a coach with a worse manlet-complex than all of Sup Forums.

>losing against Norgay
ugh

>shitmany

EXPOSED

It's a black day for German youth football.

Where did it all go wrong for you guys?

Check out Daft Punk's new single "Get Lucky" if you get the chance. Sound of the summer.

i can't, listening to despacito right now

That Friday afternoon feel

>transition from a meme pressing team to one that actually wants to create it's own chances
Should be familiar to most /bundes/ regulars, it's what's happening to Köln right now

>deliberately creating cadre problems
Happened mostly in the LB area. Fuchs retired, then Suttner was tried out for one game, then Wimmer basically cost the team 8 possible points, nowadays Hinteregger is playing the position about as competently as you expect from a converted CB. Meanwhile Alaba is fucking useless in central midfield because he gets man-marked and doesn't have the ability to turn around his marker or even hold up play with his back to the goal. When a supposedly """world class""" player is consistently being outclassed by a 22 year old Hoffenheim bench player, he need question if he really wants to play there.

>inability to convert chances
No clear 1st choice striker, the team never scored much, but during this qualifier they were especially anemic up front.

>at times poor tactics and weak in-game coaching
Koller always comes up with good gameplans, but his in-game coaching isn't really there. The team has also had a consistent problem when the midfield gets marked man-to-man, but that's probably due to Alaba, as mentioned. He also clearly fucked up the game against Serbia away, but apart from that the coach usually did a good job.

>bad luck
I know it sounds dumb, but this is a team that allowed the Irish 2 shots on target in 180 minutes and still only came away with one point. They were never truly outclassed, never lost by more than one goal and had enough chances to win every single game. If they hadn't conceded the same fucking long-shot goal on 4 separate occasions, they'd probably be topping the group right now.

What's interesting is that the team has actually shown signs of improvment, or at the very least stabilisation over the last months. They've only lost one of their last 7 games, and the wins against Serbia and Moldova on the weekend were very convincing and really showcase how deep the player pool is nowadays and that Koller still has what it takes to take the team further.

The problem is that Koller was always controversial. As long as he kept on winning, the president of the ÖFB and the director of football were firmly in charge, but you cock up one qualification and the entire FA fucking implodes. There are still a bunch of bigwigs out there that only care about their influence and about richly stocked buffets. They essentially castrated the president, fired a director of football, that had really pushed Austrian football into the 21st century and then sacked Koller and are about to replace him with someone that has (badly) coached about 35 competitive games on the U21 level because he used to be a semi-decent player.

The entire country would be a better place, if people could simply judge success and defeat accurately and didn't go apeshit whenever something isn't working out.

Huuuuuuh

huuuuuuuuuh?!

I guess it was because of the dates

Hello.
