Agreed
Wrong
Correct
Oops
neon bible is better.
i agree
hope his next one is good too
smile doesn't count.
My submission
just as good if not better...
But user, cherry bomb is the best album since the days of sound
Surf's Up is way better than this though
Is there an actual reason for this?
every hip hop artist from the 90s
Wolf>>>>>
This
Theres not a single bad song and the awkwardness is cute not weird like other weezer albums
But what happened to them that the rest of the discography is shit (apart form pork and beans)
That's not The Soft Bulletin
>implying binkerton isn't just as good
Also the white album wasn't shit. Hopefully if black drops this year it has some decent songs but my hopes aren't very high at this point
This is the real truth man like this was the first flaming lips i ever listened to and i was so hyped for the band and the soft bulletin was p4k's darling and i was a p4k drone and i tried listening to it and it sucked sucked sucked
kind of agree but is just such fantastic ambient/psychedelic pop it deserves the same attention. Embrionic has a few fillers and really isn't one of the best psychedelic records in the grand scheme of things, neither is The Terror, but they're both interesting takes on the genre. Fuck the rest of lips disco tho, yes even the early stuff
lol
This but unironically
Cluster 71 is my favorite, but I generally enjoy dark ambient and industrial style stuff more
My guy
Reflektor > Neon Bible > The Suburbs > Funeral > Everything Now
I really do enjoy all the albums though
This.
Hilarious. The overblown double-album with a few particularly cool moments but a lot of skippable boredom
Incredible release, but Wolf also exists
I totally agree that Everything Now is their best (and by far, too). The only one you can actually listen to a few times in a row; it's just so easy to repeat.
TSB/Yoshimi are literally two sides of the same coin. Both deserve incredible praise - they are both stunning albums.
Pet Sounds is amazing. Without Smile, I'd say my Top 4 Beach Boys are that, Today!, Love You, and even Smiley Smile.
Pic related is heartbreaking to me. I thought every one of their albums after this were either skippably-meh or cringeworth-ily bad.
>tfw Cage the Elephant won't make a noise rock/neo psychedelia album i your lifetime
Why live
Everything up to One on One is pretty solid.

Holy shit Sup Forums is full of teenagers.
Pic related is the greatest thing the FLips ever did by a landslide an if you disagree I seriously question your taste in psychedelic music.
me
That is the best of their pre-Zaireeka IMO too, but I don't think you've had your proper life experiences yet to understand TSB & Yoshimi. Check out those Yoshimi b-sides (hot dayum) while you're at it.
I dunno if you're as old as you say you are, are you a teenager yourself?
Zaireeka is their best m8. Most people just don't have a proper opinion on it because it's not easy to properly listen to.
Just the idea of Zaireeka is so much fun. So many ways you can change how to listen to it; so many interlocking grooves you can uncover by changing any one or multiple of the 4 components. Cool as hell.
>seriously question your taste in psychedelic music.
fuck off gatekeeper
>"Sup Forums is full of teenagers"
>posts the Scaruffidrone choice no one but pseuds and avant-teens care about
I'm sorry, I think you meant to say The Suburbs. Don't worry, easy mistake to make.
whoops, seems like you guys messed up trying to post their ACTUAL best album
posting this but I actually don't know if I'm right or wrong
not true
i'm ready for the hate

That album has a distinctive 1950s tone to it the other albums never really got right. Rivers wanted to do his own Pinkerton thing and IIRC their original bassist quit after an argument about song writing credits.

Their best album of course, but there isn't a huge gulf in class between Funeral and the rest of their discography. Neon Bible in particular is amazing.
Pinkerton is their best album but yeah everything they've done since is sub par.
Isn't the rest of their discography just a bunch of B-side compilations and then Chinese Democracy which wasn't really GNR?
Their worst album.
Generally, but First Impressions Of Earth is hugely underrated. Get rid of Electricityscape, Killing Lies, Fear Of Sleep and Evening Sun, and have 15 Minutes as the album closer and the album is at least competing with Is This It? for the title of Best Strokes Album.
The Dismemberment Plan is Terrified is really good though. Sure, Emergency & I is better, but not so much better it's absurd.
>Some girls hate themselves
>Hide under the covers with sleeping pills and
>Some girls cut themselves
>Saying God, make me famous
>If you can't just make it painless
I hate that album so much
This. There are some good solo albums, but the rest of their albums as a group are nowhere near as good as 36 Chambers.
The case with a lot of classic Hip Hop artists. Set the bar stupidly high for themselves with an incredible debut and the rest of their stuff just fails to live up to it. Look at Nas. Would he be so acclaimed if he hadn't done Illmatic?
This one is almost if not just as good.
