2017

>2017
>Still haven't seen one of the greatest films of all time.

Who are you quoting?

the movie doesn't work because they all look the same except for the woman and all have those ching chong names. add that to the 3 separate stories and its very hard to follow

4/10 for shadows and trees blowing in the wind and shit

>watching japanese cinema
god youre a fucking weeb

That guy's handsome as fuck for a jap

He obviously wasn't born yesterday like yourself

most films known as "the greatest of all time" have a lot of BS when you actually get around to watching them

like in citizen kane we never find out what significance the sled had in his life

and in this they basically pull out of nowhere that they could just ask the guy that died what happened, essentially meaning all the events up until that point were fucking meaningless, i mean they were all good stories but if they live in a world where talking to the dead is that easy why did they ask these people for their take on what happened in the first place?

Although the true sword fight is easily the most realistic one in cinema so good on that

its almost like fascist societies make the best looking people.

I found it to be overrated as fuck. At least Ran lived up to the hype.

High and Low is Mifune's best work, fight me.

*present forwards the best looking people only, creating the illusion that they are the average people of that society

>one of the greatest films of all time
That's not how I remember it.

I have seen it and even the Japanese are perplexed that gaijin love this particular Akira Kurosawa film.

>watching b/w shit
Hola reddito

>people are self serving bastards
wow who would have thunk it?

what movie is this?

7 samurai

jej

Feudal?

Kurasawa's samurai flicks are but a meme. His dramas set in modern day are real kino.

Neon Genesis Evangelion

>like in citizen kane we never find out what significance the sled had in his life

This, people, is how to bait. I see most of baiting here dumb and unsubtle. But this? This is a masterpiece.
Is something dumb, and extremely so, but not directly obvious.

My respect, user.

how was Mifune so handsome lads?

Who knows: he just was.

It's almost distracting.

Irreversible

>I believe the political regime of a country will somehow affect the facial features of its citizens

cringe/10

Well yes. When your politics is purging ugly people at the first sign of ugliness,
it tends to up the average of attractiveness,
you imbecile.

Mix of Ainu and Jomon probably.

The other way around retardo. If you're an ugly loser, you'll want a socialist state that takes care of your loser ass. If you're a solid 100/8, you'll want a political system that uses demigods like you to full potential.

this is why Himmler was such an hot lad
same Goebbles
makes sense

Yeah, that's pretty much it. Best Korea is purging people who are short, so the average height of their backwards country increases by sparing only those are tall. Fascist States removing all the ugly people operates under the same principle.

Hitler was a qt too

I guess lots of Sup Forums posters are just getting into film, so I shouldn't fault you guys, but I think this movie is on a list of like 500 essential films you need to see before you should be allowed to discuss the medium.

>but not directly obvious.

Yeah, it's directly obvious.

The Quiet Duel is

>3 separate stories
it's the same story

people who has seen it and didn't like it simply didn't know that the film invented non-linear story telling and prompted the creation of the foreign film category for the oscars

At the time of Hitler, nobody cared about population control except the extermination of non-Germans.

Today, there are a lot of faggots calling for population control on this planet.
What better way to population control than to only allow handsome people to proliferate while exterminating ugly people to keep a nice balance?

At least this way when some Alien invasion comes,
humanity will have something to offer in terms
of inter-species fucking, and we will be pardoned for our beauty.
