Breaking Bad. Shoot me.

The wire.

Why?

>The Wire has Omar, Stringer Bell, Carv, Herc, McNulty, Bunk, Avon, Wallace, Pornstache, Cedric Daniels, Kima, Prop Joe, MArlo, Wee-Dee, Cheese, Bunny, D, the Polish Cop and the Greek, and, above all, NO SUBURBAN BITCH
>Breaking Bad has Skyler, Marie, all of Jesse's girlfriends, and Tuco Salamanca

The WIre is better

Because?

Sopranos

Not even close, if you wanted an interesting discussion you should have asked between mad men/sopranos/the wire.

I ahven't finished Sopranos yet, but, in terms of writing:

Sopranos> The Wire > Madmen

Sopranos is just so fucking funny and well paced!

Although that shit of Tony falling for the shrink in only 6 episodes annoys me

Why does the Wire stand above the rest?

They both are very good dramas that do a great job of effortlessly having comedy sections in the shows that don't feel forced or out of place to lighten the mood.

Having said that the wire has a better and bigger cast and overall a more interesting story so the wire for me.

breaking bad

>mad men/sopranos/the wire.

This is the Real Holy Trinity of telekino. Only Deadwood can come close, but it being unfinished really limits it.

because this board thinks BB is reddit

The wire is easily much better.

It doesn't. Sopranos>>mad men>the wire

The Holy Trinity is Wire/Sopranos/Deadwood

The dialogue in Deadwood is the best that has even been written.
Sopranos has the best portrayal of a character ever on screen.
The Wire is the vastest show of all time and it gets better with every rewatch.

My pick is Wire > Deadwood > Sopranos
but I wouldn't blame anyone for ranking them differently

Six Feet Under is better than Mad Men, but nobody seems to get this or brong it up in these discussions. It really should be Sopranos/The Wire/ Six Feet Under. But, alas...

What is Deadwood about?

Wire. These shows aren't even close to being on the same level

A town called Deadwood.

The Wire beats Mad Men because the subject matter is, even if just a tad, more exciting

The Wire has higher highs and lower lows. For consistent quality I give it to Breaking Bad, but for greatness achieved I give it to The Wire.
But if you want a GREAT crime thriller with consistency throughout then you need to watch The Shield.

The wire
>Nothing happens: extra slow edition featuring two seconds of Omar whistling which will be enough for you to pretend it's good

Breaking bad
>You watch Vsauce regularly since you stopped watching mythbusters, you make comments on Reddit about how "science" is the answer to all world problems even though you are a college dropout living at home and your main hobby is gaming

I like breaking bad better though. It has a strong plot and you don't have to be a pretentious snob to like it

Six Feet Under starts and ends great, but gets way too uneven in the middle for it to compete.

>The Wire
>exciting
Please, anything but this. Mad Men is more exciting for sure.

Breaking Bad is more like a male power fantasy for teenagers and The Wire is a lot more interesting.

>Nothing Happens:The Show is more exciting than The Wire
Nice meme, bro.

>The Wire is more exciting than The Wire
user..

This

All female characters in Breaking Bad are despicable.

The Wire has Kima, McNulty's girl from the docks and Omar's grandma

Breaking Bad

I don't understand how people think nothing happens in The Wire.

Most of the main characters die, are imprisoned, move to other fields of work, or generally end up selling out their values for keeping a job.

They develop

>All female characters in Breaking Bad are despicable.
I liked Marie.

Mad men being good is a Sup Forums meme repeated by retards

BB

The wire really doesn't give you much of a reason to give a shit about the characters

This is an opinion by a certified mentally handicapped faggot

>All female characters in Breaking Bad are despicable.
How about
>All characters in Breaking Bad are despicable.

I love Breaking Bad but it borders on ridiculous. It's basically a comic book. Now the Wire is good because it's not about the characters it's about the city of Baltimore.

Hank, hector, mike and saul are cool tho

>Sup Forums told me what show is better and now I'm angry about someone's opinion
