WB lost $75 million because Affleck's Live By Night bombed

slashfilm.com/live-by-night-box-office-flop/

>Total Box Office worldwide: $16.5 million

What the fuck went wrong?

Ben Affleck is a douche

Ben Affleck is as horrible leading man.

>What the fuck went wrong?

Ben Affleck. He's gone downhill hard. Starting to make his previous success look like flukes.

tax evasion

How can a movie like that cost 75M ?

>how can a movie set in the 1920's with lots of 20's costumes, cars and sets cost 75m
seriously?

Hollywood collapsing. First was Sony, WB will be next

Ben al-Fleqi can't act if his life depended on it. He's only okay when he is behind the camera and not that good either.

He was great in the Accountant.

Maybe because that autistic character suited him very well.

He should do a sequel to the Accountant then.

He is great when he acts as a pissed off man like in Gone Girl and Batman

He was great in Gone Girl.

user was talking about leading man as in director.
Bin Al-Flick is a good actor but none of his directions were convincing.

I read this book the summer after it came out while on vacation at a beach house. The cover looked like quality beach bum material.

It was absolute shit.

>Ben Affleck plays a guy who murders KKK members
so Sup Forums will hate it?

He looks like James Rolfe from the thumbnail.

"Leading man" has literally never been used to refer to the director.

Argue that with original user.

Is $75 million even that much of a lose in hollywood?

When the movie cost 65 million to make and the box office is only just over 16 million then yeah that's a big loss

It's not really the loss but the reputation of Affleck that gets affected here

>WB trusts Affleck to make this movie
>It fails
WB will now decide to probably take control over Affleck's Batman movie which I hope doesnt happen

*loss

Is the movie that bad? i haven't seen it

Why did Ben Al-Shabab Affleck squander all the good fortune he gained from Argo and use it to make capeshit, autistmflicks and plebkino?

everyone hates it so looks like

It's an awful adaptation of a pretty boring book, made worse by some of the worst casting decisions in recent memory.

For one thing Affleck's character in the original book is like 24.

Yes, losing $75 million dollars is a big loss. But they must have expected it somewhat, what with the January release date and zero marketing, besides what Affleck did by himself, and even then, most interviewers just asked him aboiut fucking Batman.

>For one thing Affleck's character in the original book is like 24.

He keeps casting himself in the lead role yet his best work so far is the one starring his brother

The guy got ego

It must hurt so much especially given that Ben has to watch as Casey makes a better film than anything Ben has produced in his career, by a long shot, and is poised to win the Oscar for Best Actor in a legitimately great performance
