Show got popular and Steve made a lot of money.
After about 100 episodes, Steve started getting tired of doing the show. It wasn't his passion. He was also beginning to go bald and has said he didn't want to go bald on television in front of a huge audience. This is also why his head is shaved: because he has male pattern baldness.
So he left the show a rich man. With the free time he had, he did music for a while and was in some movies. Guy is pretty much retired, though.
