Nobody likes them, the ones who know of them here think they're hairy and smell like onions

I think you are bankrupt and feed stray dogs in cafes.

That's not true.

Ok maybe that is. It's a custom to feed the stray dogs something.

>What do Americans on Sup Forums think about Greece?
On Sup Forums everyone thinks you're poorshit pseudo-turks. In real life Americans don't think about Greece at all.

I personally think you should get back to work you lazy shit

pay denbts

Greece's recent contributions to the world are John Stamos and it's financial crisis.

Your history is rich, but you've been off your game for almost a century

Greece...is that the place where they invented Greek Yogurt...?

This man speaks the truth

You need a wall more than we do.

We don't

Nobody in (the united states of) America has an opinion of Greece.

Average Americans will picture ruins, and greasy hairy gypsy looking guys selling lamb gyros.

If they're moderately educated they'll picture ancient pedophilia, denbts, and maybe Golden Dawn.

That's the extent to which Americans think about Greece.

Like the history, pretty damn nice mythology,
But you guys suck donkey balls now

I knew a Greek guy in college. Had a group project with him. He kept calling us "malakah" all semester. Said it meant "friend." By the end of the semester we were all calling each other that. Then he told us it literally translates to "my masturbator." So now I think Greeks are all a bunch of slightly left wing homos, except for Golden Dawn, who are violent, right wing morons.

Don't listen to the faggots who don't even possess a passport. I was just in Italy and am going back soon. I plan on going to Greece with my wife and probably father in law. They are from Naples and it will only be a short trip and generally cheap. Greece is beautiful and has an amazing history just like Italy.

> USA
> Thinking about another country, ever

>What do Americans on Sup Forums think about Greece?
We think you're off-brand Romans.

he was technically not wrong
malaka means wanker but it is one if not THE most commonly used words of the language
it can be equally used as a greeting for friends or an insult to enemies
why?
because literally everyone is a wanker

>Don't listen to these guys
>Posts an opinion showing he is a SWPL tourist who probably snubs his nose at his American friends over a cheap glass of wine while saying "You haven't been to Greece?"
>Has no opinion other than eat-pray-love "The ruins are beautiful! Naples is divine!" pleb bullshit.

Oh yeah? Then why does Greece pop up in shows like House, Dexter, House of Cards etc as some kind of utopian beauty? Also in movies like alexander, 300, my big fat greek wedding etc?

I think you're just neckbeards.

John Stamos is the hottest man in the world though. Not too bad.

I know Cutebunny992 is Greek and I would literally marry her.

So...there's that?

Because it's a babby's first eurotrip destination like Rome. Upper middle class toolbags will skip London and Big Ben and go to Greece and Italy because "wine" and "history", but they still have the depth of the Big Ben crowd, just with a little more snobbery thrown in like this guy

PAY

Most Americans don't think about Greece once in a year. Half will never think about Greece in their lifetime. The once that do think about Greece, do so because they saw it in a movie about ancient times there. Troy, Alexander, etc.

Personally, I can't imagine what it must feel like to live somewhere so rich in history... and historical greatness, and yet to look at my society now and see no achievements whatsoever. You are not even a blimp on the world stage. Russian scientists are still contributing more to human understanding in a year than you have since the Second World War, and Russia is shit. Where is your science? Where is you space program? Your technology contributions, your medical contributions, your sleek supercars or domestic-made airplanes, Olympic gold medals, brave Warriors, the list goes on and on. Do you know how fucking cool it would be if Greece had a legion fighting with the USA (assuming they did good).

That is what I think when I think about Greece. It applies to other countries as well. You asked.

Why the fuck would anyone go to London ? So they can smell the sewage system? Or so they can have constant rainfall? Or maybe because the food is one of the worst in the world and the women some of the ugliest? Okay okay, maybe because it's expensive as fuck?

It shows that nobody know or cares what is going on there. Also you are very far from your former glory.
Also I love when I buy Greek products to find out it was made in Germany.

Found the problem. Greeks aren't white anymore.

Probably because lots of Americans are more comfortable going someplace where English is spoken, and London is the only place in Britain they know.

It is just another vacation spot.

>Most Americans don't think about Greece once in a year. Half will never think about Greece in their lifetime. The once that do think about Greece, do so because they saw it in a movie about ancient times there.

Everyone has history in high school.

Pfft. Greek style sex has never been more popular.

Honestly, I kind of feel the same way about Italy.

>Everyone has history in high school.
world history lasts a single year, and they have maybe one year of world history in middle school too.
Of that, greece might be mentioned two or three times.
>Ancient Greece
>Greece invaded by Germany in WW2 (MAYBE)
>Modern Greece as an example of a failed economy.

The smartest man in the world is Greek....

We're only 12 million...

TRIPS SAYS IT WILL HAPPEN!!! THANK YOU KEK!!!

Don't worry, nobody in America cares about your country.

Is kerkira/corfu still a hotspot in the med?

Faggots, poors, communists: drags for everyone.

Short time ago: god tier country, ready to take back Constantinople, very christian-conservative.

Go on, tell us how you really feel.

>John Stamos
You mean John Statham?

And again

>world history lasts a single year, and they have maybe one year of world history in middle school too.

It's funny, I graduated in '06 and all of my world history classes were only about American history involving other countries, like throwing a great tea party that the Brits popped their monocles over.

On the other hand, my American history classes actually were about the rest of the world.

Junior high and lower was entirely American history for me.

World History was 9th grade. It mostly covered Russia and, to a much lesser extent, China. India might have been mentioned.

Greece was covered in 10th grade - European History. Started with the Sumerians and basically finished with the Romans. Everything after the fall of Rome was skipped through in a few weeks at the end of the year. It's just a blur. Greece was a big part of it. For most of the year the teacher followed Herodotus.

11th grade was back to American history, and 12th grade was an optional Local history.

No, Richard Stamos.

I enjoy your history and some of your philosophers.

Most Americans don't think about Greece often, and very few have any idea about Greece post Greco-Roman wars.

In school we get a little about ancient Greece, Alexander the Great, Athens and Sparta, then ?????, then Rome and that's it.

Pay debts Turkish Rapebaby

nice

If I remember correctly, my social studies classes went like:

6th: State History (?)
7th: World History
8th: National History
9th: World
10th: National
11th: State
12th: Government

I don't buy it. That's so unbelievable its not even worth reading the shitty yahoo link.

No one cares greece, pay debts and so on.

>What do Americans on Sup Forums think about Greece?

Literally who cares?

>What do Americans on Sup Forums think about Greece?

They don't.

The "aid packages" really opened eyes here. Were not even mad at you anymore because we know what shitty cunts you are. I suppose i should thank you though, the euro-skepticism really kicked off after we realized you wouldn't pay denbts.

DENBTS

yes i'm not american. Still, fuck you and thank you.

>The smartest man in the world is Greek....
Nah, Grigori Perelman is Russian.

but muh slavic mir

So nigger tier. Ignoring evidence because you're racists.

>not being instilled with a bold confidence and natural dignity

No, you are the nigger my Grecian friend. I trust my instincts.

>b-but nigguh dats naught rite!

i didn't expect that kind of asshurt but okay

We think you are unemployed socialist losers and the only reason you're not starving worse than Africa is because the EU bails you out.

The only time when I think of Greece is when I read Nietzche's first work and Plato's republic or any other Greek philosopher. Other than that, did you guys invent steak sandwiches?

>didn't start with the Greeks
user...

I started with Plato's Republic. Socrates argument in the court is my favorite part.

Of the Americans who even know Greece exists, most seem to think it's a place to go on vacation.

Shit.
I didn't read your whole post.

I'll show myself out.

>asking what degenerate Americans think about countries with an amount of larger history and culture
Why do europeans insult themselves

Nobody really knows anything about Greece. We have shit like Greek restaurants and there's this idea that some sort of fine culture originates from Greece.

We're not part of the EU, and sit a continent away besides. I'm certain that most Americans have no idea of your debt, the same way that no one here really knows about Germany or Sweden gorging on refuges.

>The smartest man in the world is Greek....
>post a link to yahoo's finance section
my sides are in orbit. oh yes spin the tale of the greek business mastermind i would love to hear it. i bet he has a hole 2 rats to eat in the morning and his shoes only have 1 hole in them

It's partly my fault for not listing chronologically. Nietzche has been on my mind as I've been pondering his ideas on morality. I've been arguing with my brother on morality. He is for censorship to protect children and for the removing of dissent whereas I am against censorship and indulge in dissent. I don't know if I will grasp what Nietzche was trying to tell us. Though, as Neitzche said, "A philosopher's may decide to by not understood as often as he is understood" or something like that. Have you studied Nietzche?

your csgo skins/hat fortress circlejerk is also created by a greek guy

blogs.valvesoftware.com/economics/

why won't ameriniggers educate themselves already?

>Germany
>having pride
F-fuck off jackboot...

To certain extent yes, I've read all of his works except some of the earlier ones but I'm certainly no academic. Have you read Nietzsche's later works? They will probably considerably deepen out your understanding. Kaufman remarks that its easy for readers of Nietzsche to fall into the trap of reading his various aphorisms as if they stood alone, whereas he would argue, and I think Nietzsche would as well, that they should always be read in a broad context keeping in mind the continuum of Nietzsche's work.

As for your actual question on morality I would argue for an aristocratic system, censorship should be allowed as those who would naturally rise to the top will still do so regardless, whereas not censoring things might go over poorly for the lesser classes.

Also if it's any consolation you should really take it as a compliment. Europe's history is so deep and varied that it is difficult for outsiders to penetrate into. Certainly more so when they are not even trying.

Of course when your own people don't know it, there was a German bro in another thread saying his school never taught him about the Holy Roman Empire.

Who gives a shit what jewish propoganda shows you're featured in

No, that was maybe in modern turkey when mostly Greeks lives there.

Then the turks genocided the Greeks and started copying their yoghurt and calling it Turkish yoghurt.

So, you would argue that absolute freedom allows itself to used as a trap?

I have the Birth of Tragedy, Human, All Too Human, Thus Spoke Zarathustra, and Genealogy of Morals. Though, I haven't had them for very long.

I think you have a pessimistic view of humanity. Perhaps it is my childish view of the world that I consider all men capable of reason. This could be cognitive dissonance as I have been told by my family that I am barred from family gatherings if refuse to stop posting rebuttals to the "I'm a supporter of love" nonsense. Maybe it is childish to ask if they also "love murderers".

Perhaps the only real moral is to not question the status quo.

>Also you are very far from your former glory.

Coming from Poland. Both of you degenerate countries need to PAY YOUR DEBTS.

The only thing I give a fuck about Greece for is their olive oil and recipes.

My grandfather is an immigrant from Thessaloniki, Macedonian ethnicity

All the Greeks in my family are lovely, I'd be happy to go to the farm there and I fully expect to be boots on the ground there first when the euro civil war happens

Keep your head held high, greekbro

WHO /greek-in-germany/ HERE???

How can people ever think Greece is some sort of paradise?

Oh yeh, it has some islands. There's some nice coastal areas. If you drive around the countryside in summer you will occasionally be treated to some nice sights.

But Greece as a whole is not so great. It's far too hot, much of the countryside is just very boring and aside from ruins there's not that much there. Couple that with Greeks - a nation of balding at 20 years of age fat men who smoke and drink far too much and lie better and more than jews.

My family has had a house on Chalkidiki for a few years and while Greece HAS paradises in its territory, it is by no means a paradise.

By the way, Greeks are cool, they can be pretty fun and shit, until the Byzantine merchant blood shows.

I visit greece once or twice per year. The difference being, i go there with lots of money. If you got money in greece, it trully is the greatest country ive ever been to. The freedom is unmatched. The women are hot, in the big cities, the food is top-tier and the weather is almost perfect.

Greece is it true I can get cheap prostitutes there? And no I don't want to fuck Syrian men, I'm talking about attractive Greek whores, if so how much?

I've been to both and greece is a hundred times more interesting than the UK.

Thanks for the info mate. Ill do some research and if i find out this guy is Greek then you better pray this person isnt you or a family relative

Don't flatter yourself.

30 euros for 15 minutes. A high class escort costs 200 per hour.

w-what

I am now a #shillforthegreek

Most people around here think Greece is a debt ridden 3rd world shithole at this point.

We don't. Greeks do own virtually all the good diners on the east coast though, so we do like you.

hes a hotspot on /balk/

holy shit poland

Cheap as fuck, plan to vacation there when I head to Europe for studies. Which islands are to be avoided?

>which islands are to be avoided
Islands are generally good, except Mykonos which is degeneracy central

Avoid Athens. Very dirty city t. athenian.
Good sights and nightlife though

i like your yogurt

Although it's not true, many Americans, and if you don't believe me I'll introduce you to them, believe that Greeks invented the English language. They think many awesome positive things but are sad about the economy of Greece.

You are pretty much Turkish. You are only good for making drunk college kids gyros.

>Greeks are all a bunch of slightly left wing homos
pretty accurate
