The original bored me to tears.
Post your ideal Le Carre film cast and crew

>ideal Le Carre

unless its a 5 hour biopic, then its not ideal
HYPED. I loved the first movie.
Then I saw your comment. Really sad.
>Replacing Gary Oldman as George Smiley with that faggot
Just kys negroid
Fine.
Le Carre adaptation, you pedantic autist
I made that pic a long time ago when I figured Oldman wouldn't do another Smiley film.
Also it's not like it matters that much. Smiley is only in TSWCIFTC for like 2 minutes

I do wish they'd adapt Honourable Schoolboy just to differentiate it from the '70s BBC series with Alec Guinness, but the Asian setting would be hard to pull off on a budget, and it might be awkward to hang the narrative on Westerby when people expect a continuation of the Smiley story.
Alfredson and Straughan need to come back for this.
Cucumbersnatch's cheeky gay smile almost ruined it tbqhdesu
Smiley's and Westerby's plots can be complementary, their main difference is that Westerby is still a romatic while years made Smiley more cynical.
Just push up the paper-trail plot and push back the asian scenes.
And TTSS had a 20 minute-flashback subplot with Tom Hardy in Istanbul. They can spend similar time for the two big Westerby scenes (Ricardo shooting him in Phnom Penh and the grenade scene) and put the rest in the background.
>tfw still haven't seen the original
Should I watch it?
Yes, obviously.
Yes.
have you read the book?
If yes, you will have a headache watching this
If no, do whatever
