I saw this on OAN last week and was delighted to see the story had traction.
We know the drill: Yes there were camps, yes there was a program to put Jews and many others (eg drunks, homosexuals, suspected traitors, etc.) into these camps. There was a forced labor program in that people had to work to support Germany (not exactly a cruelty in an of itself.)
As best we can tell, those intentionally killed were suspected of serious sedition. The field killings were far fewer than suggested and were justified (Partisan is another word for illegal combatant and Geneva Conventions provided for reprisals.) The starvation came as a direct result of the total bombing by the Allies, when Germany began a full collapse.
Perhaps there were a few thousand summary executions of blocks of suspects. But they can cry me a river: the number of Germans displaced from the East and were raped, tortured, murdered, and or died of exposure far outnumber those Jews who died in the camps.
Until there is even an iota of discussion and 'truth and reconciliation' regarding the largest mass rape and murder in history, these sad violin players can go pound sand. And clearly, many are outright frauds anyway.
