there are some great albums in bleeps but it's still the worst section

Go listen to ItCotCK right now

How the fuck are you all this new?

Attached: mu.png (1781x4325, 3.92M)

Based GrimesCuck.

Seems I've listened to quite a lot! Please rec me bleeps.

Yes, it's generally a good chart but there are always gonna be some albums you don't like and plenty you don't love, even if lots of other people love em

Attached: muchart.png (1781x4325, 2.41M)

Just realised I haven't listened to much on this chart, is it worth trying to listen to everything specifically on the chart?

Dude you need to listen to the Suicide album, I think you'd love it.

Holy shit someone on this board rec'd Suicide and meant the band. Thanks, I'll check it out

The jazz section is good. There's a lot of good albums in the subcore and classic sections, but also some bad ones, of course

what do

Attached: 1522212804124.jpg (1781x4325, 2.84M)

Jesus dude listen to some music

i've lived on bandcamp too long, i'm only now starting on that path

Yeah fair enough I'm sure you've got a lot of cool obscurer recs. Still, there's a lot of great stuff in the classics section and you've basically not touched it at all!

I know, and I do regret it now that I've listened to at least some I never did from the other sections. My top priorities are the rest of Bowie, all of Radiohead, all of Pink Floyd, more classic hip-hop and bleeps.

Its okay. I generally find more success by just sticking to subgenres.

Attached: essentials.jpg (1781x4325, 1.81M)

What's to regret? You've got a vast expanse of great music to discover!

listen to this instead

Attached: top100.jpg (1485x1455, 2.12M)

Well, mostly that I could've had music to help me through the worst times in my life, but instead I left myself to sift alone through that in silence. Now my music is the only thing keeping these times from feeling even worse. But yeah you're right, never too late.

Based Scaruffiposter.

Oh sorry to hear that. Hope things get better for you

Thanks, man. I'm sure they will.

What Radiohead have you checked out so far? What's been your fave?

Oh, right now I am listening to more Animal Collective, of which my favorite so far is still Spirit They've Vanished. Radiohead is next so I'll get back to you on that.

Well those are my two favourite bands so good picks all around! Also Spirit is my fave AnCo album. Good taste my friend

onions

Attached: combo.jpg (3234x4319, 1.44M)

Dude, Spiderland is fantastic. And TMR is actually a really fun listen every now and again. Way better than MBDTF anyway

fuck forgot to check safe as milk off the right hand chart, i have listened to it though

howlin wolf and Cul-de-sac: china gate

Well you listened to all the jazz, so you did well.
This is me... Please rec me bleeps

I once listened to the entire mu/core/ chart but that was years ago and not this updated one, of the most recent one, these are all the ones I've listened to and it's okay, I think they are good starter albums, most have nothing to do with this board and they are just starter albums everywhere which is why it's so easy to listen to all of them and generally I expect to get to most of these naturally some day through the other projects I go through rather than this chart specifically

If you want the most interesting or specific recs that you may not get anywhere else, you have to go to the more specific charts like essential albums from Poland or essential poseurcore or essential post-punk, that sort of stuff

Attached: 1486744058842.jpg (1781x4325, 1.34M)

i'd say squarepusher-hard normal daddy
that venetian snares album
gas-pop

This board loves the band (for good reason)

sonic youth

>not listening to Bob Dylan
Disgusting

Listen to Neubauten (though Kollaps and Zeichnengen are better albums and should be listened to before Mensch)...also Power, Corruption & Lies is one of the best pop albums of the 80's

Gonna listen to them later, thanks fellas

All the ones I've listened to. Might feel like listening to some of the jazz and electronic ones I haven't yet, but other than that I'm good.

Attached: 1522212804124.jpg (1781x4325, 2.43M)

Speak No Evil and Red Clay are worth listening to.

i dont see the division bell

>I'm afraid of music
Kill yourself, you've deliberately avoided some pretty major albums

i've never heard anyone talk about geek the girl on this board before. mega underrated album.

trips and i force myself to do this entire list this month

>refusing to listen to mercury rev, the doors, pil, minutemen and the residents
faggot

Should clarify that those are just the ones I've heard start to finish. Many I've listened to some of and just didn't care for what I heard and didn't listen all the way through.

Roll.

see
I agree, I think it's just weird because it's Scaruffi-core but does not at all fit in with the rest so nobody talks about it in that context and nobody really talks about female artists from the 90's because they think the first female solo artist was Bjork and then nobody else came around until 2007

Wowtism

That's actually worse

Don't see the Mercury Rev or PiL albums on there that aren't checked off, but I've listened to Mercury Rev and like them. PiL was alright from the couple albums I heard, but nothing worth revisiting for me.

I've listened to most of them and I'm still dead inside. Music is a meme

you guys who have listened to a lot of the chart, did you consciously go through the chart and listen to it, or have you just happened to have heard a lot of it

Anything essential I'm particularly missing out on? I should notice at least half of these albums I have listened to other full albums by the artist, just not the one in the pic yet.

Attached: Essentials02.jpg (925x1600, 354K)

Bit of both to be honest, I'm probably a major outlier but I've got like dozens of in-depth lists and pics saved from a number of large resources and have slowly been going through them all for over a decade (before I ever found this place), but it's very much a mood thing, I just pick whichever chart or list that week or day that I want to look more into, that way I don't feel restricted and always free to change my mind on what I want to hear next

When I was younger and listened to much more music and Sup Forums was actually a good board, it was easier to prioritize the Sup Forums charts but also, it's natural to prioritize the albums that are on the most charts because it's like killing multiple birds with one stone so a chart as generic as this essentials is pretty easy to prioritize because most of these albums are recommended everywhere

would you care to share these lists and pics in a mega or something?
