Hey Sup Forums post your collection

hey Sup Forums post your collection

here's mine, just a lil over 450 titles, ranging from celluloid film to blu-ray

>450 titles, ranging from celluloid film to blu-ray
>strat copy
What are you doing

>reddit: the room

Kill yourself my man

>strat copy
got it for free, I can't complain

>That Goldeneye poster
Fucking nice.

sorry for the glare, but it's inescapable. ~250 something criterions here

Im poor

thanks! it's one of my favourite pieces in my collection

>buying physical media

cringe

whats the poster on the bottom right?

>Hanging stuff on your ceiling fan so you cant use it

Unacceptable

Nice shelves though.

>450 movies

Amateur

if Sup Forums had to pick 7 essential films to have in their collection, what would you pick?
to make it easier lets say series/trilogys count as one.
myself:

the fall
lotr trilogy
the godfather 1
bladerunner
babe
jacobs ladder
the matrix

The Holy Mountain! Which also happens to be one of my three favourite movies that I have in here

*yawn*

Post yours then! :)

Got Twilight Zone collection for Christmas. Old movies/shows look so much better than most modern movies in HD. Season 2 and above have top tier cinematography.

guys, its 2017

why in the fuck would you pay money for physical media

1. Sopranos Blu-Ray Collection
2. LOTR Trilogy
3. Harry Potter Box Set
4. Star Wars Collection
5. Friday Night Lights Collection
6. Pan's Labyrinth Criterion
7. Blue is the Warmest Color Criterion

I have seasons 1 and 2 of The Twilight Zone on Blu-Ray. God-tier show.

Fun, I don't spend disposable income on much else other than going out places and I love films

because it means owning a copy of something you enjoy. it means giving money to the artisits who created something you enjoy. it's like paying for a ticket to see a music act you love and then buying the album afterwards.

Good. But put it on a frame, god dammit.

>Watching streaming movie on Netflix, Hulu, Amazon
>Something happens...
>A storm
>Internet problems
>Server issues
>Your movie ends or gets interrupted

Unacceptable.

Seriously, you can get a cheap poster frame at Walmart for a measly $9

>claim to love kino
>doesn't support the craft
>doesn't watch his kino in pure, uncompressed HD on a big screen with surround sound
Might as well not even talk about film, lad.

because I fucking want to, cuntbag. why the shit do you care so much how i spend my money that i earned myself? i'm fuelling the film industry, buying independent films from local filmmakers to support them and their future projects. what're you doing? downloading? online streaming? give me a fucking break, you goddamn pathetic pussy jungle clusterfuck

>people still buy media

See Also Urgay

>tfw too intelligent to not torrent everything

>manlet clapperboard
really gives the feel you are in a film studio

I torrent, rapid share and usenet

But the thing is, release groups vary greatly in quality, even on private trackers.

Sometimes you're just not going to get the same quality as physical media.

Why in the fuck would you pay money for digital media is the real question.
You are literally buying nothing.

Hey dudes, just started my collection today
Long road ahead ( ´_ゝ`)

Here's the cornerstone, the crown jewel if you will (`・ω・´)

Please rate, but don't hate (ΘεΘ;)

"hey i like this movie and would like to see it again"

physical media
>go to store
>buy dvd
>come back
>put on shelf
>friend comes over
>"hey user do you wanna watch a movie?"
>"sure which one?"
>"dunno let me pick from your collection"
>easily scroll through shelf picks
>able to read information on the back
>bonus features
>cover art looks amazing
>friend picks movie based on combination of title, summary, and artwork

digital media
>go online
>buy it
>download
>jack off to furry porn in the meantime
>cum in mouth
>download finished
>drag .avi to folder marked "Movies N - Z" on second HDD
>literally a file amongst three thousand other unwatched hoarded movies
>friend comes over
>"hey user do you want to watch a movie?"
>"sure dude what do you want?"
>"do you have any dvds?"
>"no but lets scroll through thousands of filenames on my hard drive to see if any word in the title stands out to you'
>friend picks movie based on title alone
>friend doesn't actually exist, you made him up cause you're a faggot autist who downloads movies and doesn't have any friends

digital media
>go online
>torrent it in a minute
>no time to jack off fuck
>put the superior Yify (A:10, V:10 thank based yiffie) on your desktop
>literally there where you can get to it in seconds if you want to
>friend comes over
>"hey user do you want to watch a movie?"
>"nah man, let's actually do something instead of rotting inside like some fucking losers haha"
>"outside? play some sports maybe or something"
>"sure dude"
>have a great day

Based on a true story

Will (((((film buffs))))) ever recover?

Kodi, brah.

>has celluloid film
>no laserdiscs

gtfo

The whole 3D trilogy in one box? I might have to get that

Many of the streams on Kodi are shit.

Who was talking about streams? You use it so you have library that anyone can easily look through with cover art and descriptions and everything.

Oh yeah. I forgot.

I don't hook up my HDD to my home network for various reasons. I prefer to pull things off my 4TB HDDs and put them on 256GB flash drives

you have no friends

>for various reasons

Don't want the neighbours to find your cp collection, huh?

Nah, worried about over use and the possibility of crashing a HDD.

I have cloned my primary movie drive, but still, gotta be careful

Plus my TV has a USB hub attracted to it and I like to separate my content on the various drives. Movies, TV, anime, hardcore butt blasting tranny porn, etc.

>Who killed captain alex
Theres a dvd version of this? Does it contain multiple famous comentators?
I only got around to watching it last weekend. Where did you buy it?

Yes and yes! Bought it directly from the Wakaliwood store! It ships super fast, I ordered it on a thursday and it came the next wednesday. Also comes with a signed disc, signed Ebola Hunter picture, and a ton of stickers

>signed Ebola Hunter picture
Im dying.
I need to get this.

Alright I ordered it. Lets see how the other VJs compare...

sum dvds

That is a hard question Tbh.

Sopranos blu ray box set
Tree Of Life
High & Low
Godfather trilogy
Once Upon A Time In America
Mulholland Drive
The Good, The Bad and The Ugly

good on ya user! keep on supporting filmmakers around the globe :)

fun story: friend of mine worked in Wakaliwood when she lived in Uganda, said it was one of the best set experiences in her life. pretty much no stress during the production, everything was really laid back but done well, and no matter what day everyone was excited to work on the film.

Why all the purple? are you gay?

yes

>actually gay
That's fucking gay dude

Matrix trilogy
Boondocks Saints
Princess Bride
Shutter Island
Probably a Rage Against the Machine live set

I figured a trilogy would count as three, I guess not everyone plays by the rules though

fuck off, you're not me

fuck you, purple is awesome

also i'm gay as fuck

...

what kind of features does The Witch blu have?

Do you watch your collection on that piece of shit TV?

Nice shelves but you need a better display, Jesus.

no that one is for retro games and VHS. this is at the other end of the room

>Wonder Showzen
20/10

Buying movies is just as pathetic as buying anime figurines. What the fuck is wrong with you?

commentary, a lil doc on the movie, q and a with the cast and crew

>>>strat copy
i hope you're not seriously giving your hard earned cash to fender.
just buy a noname strat copy and set it up yourself lmao

that's like... a bad comparison, user
