Movies you were lead to believe were great as a child?

>be me
>raised by single mother, only have sisters
>extended family is all women too, no male figures in my life
>grow up thinking that 80s/90s chick flick movies like The Way We Were, Pretty Woman and The Bodyguard were widely considered Taxi Driver/Shawshank Redemption tier kino and were the epitome of film
>thought I was patrician as fuck until I was about 6-7 for having watched them before I started going to school and making friends and found out that they're all gay as fuck

Batman and Batman Returns. I'm not reading your shit blog btw

>shit blog
huh

I'm just going to say If you haven't seen Master of Disguise in over 15 years go watch it again because It deserves that 1% on RT

I finally watched The Godfather when I was about 18/19 and it was a good movie but it's a victim of being over hyped.

Sharkboy and Lavagirl, Beethoven/every talking dog movie and Happy Feet are other atrocities that don't hold up past the age of 10.

Do people who like these films ever stop and look at their movie collections and realise they have objectively shit taste?

I cannot imagine myself being a parent and willingly buying these and knowing this is information/entertainment I'm willing to let my child consume in their formative years. I just couldn't do it and I don't get how my parents could because I had Pluto Nash and Look Who's Talking Too on VHS as a kid.

They don't think about it at all. They don't put any thought or effort into it. They choose movies like you choose clothes.

Most parents stop caring so much at some point

You can enjoy any story user. Did you find the ladies in the movie attractive? I half watch lifetime movies and shit like the joy luck club for 50% story and 50% women.

I mean in a way a movie like the Expendables can be construed as gay want material.

I remember watching Pluto Nash as a kid when it came out. I liked it, it was had a fun campy quality about it.

I wonder what it would be like today it I rewatched it

Who in the fuck doesn't put any thought into the clothes they buy?

What do you wear? Just the same stained wife beater and skidmarked, cum encrusted boxer briefs everyday?

The original Star Wars trilogy

Is this commonplace for normies? Because I don't even know dudebro Chads ignorant enough to be still watching Schneider movies that aren't Deuce Bigalow in 2017. And even that's fairly embarrassing.

My grandma and mom are the main source of my clothes. They always have something new for me from the op shop when I visit. I wear some things when in public and other things while goofing off at home.

To answer you question, I do think about what I wear, but not what I buy, since I don't buy clothes.

Batman Returns is still great. It's Christmaskino.

How old are you that your grandma and mom still buy you clothes?

I've been buying my own clothes since high school. Plus i don't get why wouldn't you want to pick out your own clothes user?

Yeah this, I'm 18 and have bought my own clothes for a year, plus even if you're a complete sperg who refuses to socialise there's online shopping. Wyd user.

We wanna know buddy.

Why don't you want to buy and pick out what you wear? Wouldn't you like that more? You get to choose what you wear and how you look.

I think you'll like it a lot more user. I want you to have that freedom

>Wyd

>My grandma and mom are the main source of my clothes.

aw shit, you're that kid

very nice

Strongly disagree
1 and 2 together are patrician as fuck
