That FUCKING ending

>that FUCKING ending

HOLY FUCK I'M MAD AS FUCK. A friend told me I should've stopped after Trinity died and he was so fucking right...Jesus fucking Christ I'm mad as shit.

read the novels, only 1 novel redeems the entire tv series,& there are 9 of them.

>read the novel

You mean the one where Rita dies and he takes the kids on as fucking apprentice? That's more fucking retarded than the TV show ending.

spoil it for me please

> retarded
go back to rebbit bitchface

>no actual rebuttal
>hurrr durrrr leddit

Kill yourself cuck.

>novels
I kinda wish they adapted the one with the mad doctor who played hangman with his victims and cut off a piece of them for each error.

It should have ended mid season 8, after Deb crashes the car and they go to dinner with dexter's spiritual "mum".

That was probably the only great season eight episode.

The only way the show could have been salvaged of its post-season 4 life was if it ended with an episode of softcore Astor porn.

I wish Deb died way earlier. She was so fucking annoying.

Her arc was pretty much done by season 3 or 4. Then again, so were most characters'.

Are you fucking mad as fucking fuck for this fuck?

FUCK

Fun Fact:

If you watch the seasons in reverse order it going from a 5/10 to a solid 7/10.

>Entire series is building toward the conflict of a serial killer protagonist with a homicide detective sister
>lol instead she's [romantically] in love with him, catches him in the act and doesn't do shit about it

I can't think of a single good episode post-Trinity. I'm sure they were there but god damn. Not only did they let the fucking show go on way too long, but they fucked the ending up too.

ITT: It's 2013

YOU FUCKING TAKE THAT BACK!

Deb was a goddess. I'd fuck that skinny ass seven ways from sunday. That foul mouthed sex queen.

>be Dexter
>double stuff Deb and the other sexy skinny chick. The mental British one.

robodoakes

What was the worst ending to a series ever?

I has a friend who also told me to finish after trinity died, and I listened to him. I have fond memories of the show.

are you asking is dexter the worst ending to a series ever?

must be nice

What the fuck are you talking about.

You should've stopped after Doakes died.
Trinity is good but season 4 is still pretty bad compared to 1 and 2 and you would have to make it through 3

I might go back and finish the final couple of seasons some day. least i can still get my dick erect with deb

John Lithgow is the best thing about the entire series. Also season 4 blows the rest of them out of the water.

>S1
>Blending effectively but always an outsider
>Finally meets someone who understands and accepts him for who he is
>Have to let go of a life he actually loves to be accepted for who he is, chooses not to

>S2
>Dumping grounds is found, needs to deal with being actively hunted and potentially seen for who he really is by the people he hides himself from
>Once again, forced to choose between his inner darkness and the people he cares about

>S3
>Through several whacky mix-ups, finds someone who sees society the same way he does and agrees with his methods
>Finally someone he can be himself with
>Friend turns out to be completely willing to kill for selfish reasons
Really not very good but it's at least thematically consistent

>S4
>Learns of a serial killer who has seemingly successfully separated his two selves, both killing to sate the need and having a loving family and successful home life
>Wanting to learn how to do this, he gets closer and realizes that only the facade of such is achievable
>You can't have both, either be the monster or the man

It's pretty consistent through these seasons but holy fuck does it disintegrate hard afterward.

show gets bleh after bald serial killer guy from 3rd rock

he was the based killer. i guess first 3 seasons are good

She was Strayan

That was season 4.

Season 3 is super forgettable though so it's an understandable mistake.

I'm telling you guys. Watch the series in reverse order. It makes much more sense.

It goes from

>Dexter in good life fitting in, then everything goes to shit

to
>Dexter in hiding in shit life, then slowly meets new people and finds peace in a normal life

With the baddass series finally of finally figuring out the true evil inside of him and meeting his brother and fighting off Doakes.

Try rewatching the entire series but only watching the prime number episodes. Thank me later.

I unironically liked every season except for the final episode. They trashed everything they had built up in order to leave the possibility of a sequel/spinoff open.

>that ending
dexter abandoning his kid to be a lumberjack? what the literal fuck was that...

Your friend was definitely right.

i want you to explain to me in all seriousness how you enjoyed the last 2 seasons

Right?

what was so bad about it. spoil it right away, wont be watching that piece of shit anyways.

>wymon writers

Oh come on, what about the kino facial recognition scene?

Ooh, which novel? The one where he has to save his kids from a giant saw and conveyor belt set up by the cult that worships the demon that possesses Dexter?

>Dexter's mental illness is the result of demonic possession
>Trains Rita's kids to be serial killers
>TONS of other shit

It's ok to like trash books (shit I've got the entire Wheel of Time on a shelf) but admit they're trash at least.

>Season 1
Fucking amazing season. Personal favorite. You see in the first maybe three episodes where they're kind of trying to find their stride, but the rest of the season is great. Less interesting to watch if you've already seen it.

>Season 2
Another great season, although Lila was the most nauseating character possibly of the series, while Lundy and Deb had the most uncomfortable romance to watch. Doakes really stood out this season, and I thought that was great. I loved the scenes between him and Dexter. I liked the season, but it had flaws.

>Season 3
Overwhelmingly lackluster, although this is largely due to the writer's strike. Miguel was actually alright in my eyes as a villain, thanks to Jimmy Smits working well with the script he had. Skinner was boring as fuck.

>Season 4
Trinity is such an interesting character the first time you watch the season. It's similar to season 1, in the sense that as season 1 went on you learned more and more about Dexter, while season 4 was the same for Arthur. Less interesting to watch if you know what's coming, like season 1.

>Season 5
Mildly interesting villain overshadowed by Trinity's final act. This season gets more flak than it deserves because it's pretty hard to follow up season. I liked the second half. First half is very slow to start, but it does get better by the end of the season.

>Season 6
DDK was alright, but overall this season was the least interesting to me. Final scene was neat, but had no real payoff in season 7 until the end of the season.

>Season 7
I liked the minor villain Dexter and Deb face early in the season, and Ray Stevenson did some of the best work this show ever saw during his time as Sirko. Otherwise this was a rehash of season 2. Also, Hannah and Dexter was fucking stupid.

>Season 8
First half was alright. Became really shitty when Hannah came back. And fuck the finale. The Brain Surgeon was really lackluster despite having the potential to be a pretty interesting character early on.

Dr. Danco would've been fantastic if brought into the series, albeit a little toned down. Also, two other things the books did way better was fucking killing LaGuerta early on, and having his brother survive.

>tfw Season 5 is actually better than Season 3 but no one will admit it

...

I completely agree with this though.
