so 神 has shit-ton of readings, wouldn't that mean that 神江 could be read as: Jinko, Shinko, Kanko, Kako, Koko, Kamiko, Kamuiko, Miko, Kanako, Damako, Miwako... how do Japanese speakers know which one's the right one when they only have the kanjis and no other help (Hiragana/katakana)?
