Why does Australia wear this color? Why not Blue and white?

Why does Australia wear this color? Why not Blue and white?

Yellow and green are the traditional colors of Australia. Don’t ask me why because I don’t know.
Besides, there are far too many red white and blue teams to begin with.

It comes from Australian national plant. I can't remember its name in English.

Kangaroos are yellow

Silly Hue, socceroos are yellow and green. You are just pissed at the fact that they use similar colors of the Hue flag.

Why dont they wear black and yellow like the abos?

Google the Golden Wattle OP, stay safe

It's probably because of Cricket. England wear blue caps so they wanted to be different and it just stuck.

The blue away kit at the 2006 World Cup was one of my favourites.

Not pissed. Just curious.

wattle

Its green and gold faggots, not green and yellow

Your gold needs work then.

There are a lot of teams that wear colours not on their flags.

Italy
Netherlands
Australia
Germany (they wear green sometimes idk why)
Canada
Japan

I like the idea of countries not necessarily being beholden to the colours of their flag, if they can find a national colour scheme that makes more sense.

probably actually

It is a plant mate. It is the same as to why our away color is blue because of pic related and not because of our flag.

add Uruguay

...

>Italy
blue is the color of house Sovoy, who unified Italy
>Netherlands
again, orage is the color of the house who rules the country
>Germany wearing white
it's the color of Prussia flag
>Canada

But Canada does wear red and white.
