stick to the proper title

Possible line-up for >us:
3-4-2-1

Ospina, Holding , Per, Monreal, Nelson, Willock, Wilshere, Maitland-Niles, Walcott, Iwobi, Giroud

This looks like bait but it's the only line-up I could find.

It's because >we're ass atm.

>romania thinks he’s been here long enough to make our threads

>pulling the possible lineup out your ass
Wenger already confirmed that Cech and Debuchy will start.

Debuchy still exists?

RETURN OF OUR LORD AND SAVIOUR WHEN

Coquelin is already back in training

Arsenal are shit lol

lmao

>ass ass to mouth

FA Cups only matter when they are built on.

Dunno who these benders are but they should be banned from games.

Absolutely toxic behaviour

exemplary post

Dyer agreed with that statement, but outlined the reasons why investing in Newcastle would be an exciting proposition.

"The potential there is through the roof," he said.

"When investors come in, they see the club as a business. Just look at Arsenal - they are not bothered about winning anything. They just want to keep making money."

>trying to avoid reading about arsenal
>whole world is laughing at us

We used to be an example of a well run club. now we are the opposite. where did it all go wrong?

Its like everyday we are the butt of everyone's joke

pretty sad desu

>doing well in europa
>atletico, sevilla, napoli, dortmund and more finish 3rd in their group

>at the moment

you fucking faggot

Why didn't Arsene breed new players in 1996 he could use now?

>toxic behavior

Wonga is toxic for Arselel, he should've been sacked a long time ago.

>where did it all go wrong?

Wenger giving a lot of chances to under performing players.

>We used to be an example of a well run club. now we are the opposite. where did it all go wrong?

>some no-name
>no-name

you fucking ignorant gypsy smelly cockroach, crvena zvezda is bigger than any club in romania, all you have is match fixing fat owners

Arsenal is still a well-run business though. Kroenke makes plenty of money to buy more ranches.

Kroenke did nothing wrong, it's all down to Wenger.

missing out on cl means at least ~30m less per season, not what I'd call a well-run business

same with not selling players in their last year of contract that want to leave

Kroenke has the authority to sack Wenger, Wenger's just an employee. If you were getting paid £8 million a year to manage your favourite club, you wouldn't step down. Why would Wenger?

>literally who talking about football

kys

>Kroenke has the authority to sack Wenger
On paper yes but in reality, Wenger is the one who controls Kroenke.

Arsenal are still making solid profits from their broadcasting, commercial and match day revenue though. They have been financially healthy since around 2014 when a significant number of the short-term loans that financed the stadium were paid off. Arsenal is making plenty of money, the whole "we have no money left" excuse was a lie to try and justify their laziness during the transfer window.

>Wenger's just an employee

this is like saying the queen can fire the prime minister

technically its true, but really its not

Wenger isn't some wizard that can mentally control people. The reason the board haven't sacked Wenger is because they think he's doing a satisfactory job. They're an even bigger problem than Wenger since they'll still be around when Wenger inevitably retires (so if the next manager is also shit, expect another 20 years of mediocrity).

>there are people in this thread who think that Kroenke believes the way to make money is to under-invest

but he is a wizard that can mentally control people. we have been shit for nearly 10 years but we have still stuck with him. his magic is wearing off sure but our fanbase was the cult of wenger who defended him despite the shit teams he put out and barely scraping 4th for a decade. people are still under his spell even now

No, I'm not. I'm not under his spell.

Kroenke is very hands-off, he likes his assets to make reasonable amounts of money without investing any extra money into it. Kroenke doesn't actually care about football enough to invest heavily into Arsenal and turn it into a title-contending force, as long as it's making a reasonable profit he's happy to just let it sit there. People seem to think that Arsenal is in some Leyton Orient-tier situation when it's actually still one of the most valuable football clubs in Europe. Kroenke clearly thinks the club is doing fine at the moment, which is why he gave Wenger another contract and why he didn't sell to Usmanov when the latter made a bid for his shares.

PLease, please trash red star today

how did arsenal do in the champions league this week? o wait u're not even in it lmaoooo

Except if you invest less than your rivals, the quality of your team will go down and your revenue will follow. Kroenke knows this so he wants to invest a good amount to remain competitive and keep the revenue (and value of the club) up.

>Kroenke clearly thinks the club is doing fine at the moment
the club is doing fine to him as long as he can keep pocketing money

>arsenal misses on cl spots for first time in years
>two of the best players on last year of contract and wanting to leave
>instead of investing heavily arsenal makes 15m profit in transfer window
lmao kroenke doesn't give a fuck, he'll milk the cow dry and then sell the skin and move on

if he cared he would have fired wenger or forced him to spend or bought a DOF to sign players for him

Kroenke hasn't invested a penny in the club after his initial purchase. Why would he suddenly want to invest now? Arsenal are self-sufficient club, the three main sources of income for a club are match-day, broadcasting and commerical income. Match-day income will always be fairly high as Arsenal has a large stadium and a huge waiting list for season tickets. Broadcasting income has sky-rocketed fairly recently and all PL clubs get a shit ton of money from it. Commercial revenue will drop a bit since the new wave of bandwagoners would rather support a successful team like City, but Arsenal still have a sizeable overseas fanbase that will stick with them for a number of years. It would take Arsenal getting relegated for these figures to drop significantly enough to warrant change (which is not going to happen any time soon, Wenger isn't that bad a manager).

I'm not saying I agree with Kroenke, I want him to fuck off even more than I want Wenger to fuck off (a compentent owner would sack Wenger anyway so that's two birds with one stone). I'm simply explaining why Kroenke thinks the club is fine and why he's not investing money into the club. As long as he's at the top, nothing will change and Arsenal are doomed to become Everton/Southampton-tier.

He's invested the money the club makes. That's my point. He's not pocketing more than any other owner would pocket. That would hurt the club and so himself (less revenue, club has less resale value). Why would he invest his own money?

>He's not pocketing more than any other owner would pocket
how do you know? do you have a list of how much other owners pocket or their wages?

My point being that it would not good business sense (contrary to what people on here think). Additionally, the net spend of Arsenal over the past 5 seasons is only slightly behind Chelsea (Arsenal have slightly less revenue than Chelsea too).

comparing to chelsea is a mistake considering they sell players to china for piles of millions to compensate their transfers. Looking at the numbers doesn't give a right picture on what's going on at chelsea with transfers, it's an anomally in football clubs

just found this published an hour ago:
>mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/revealed-how-much-each-arsenal-11369548
>Only two members of the current Arsenal board receive a salary from the club.
>The Gunners have just six board members as it stands but only the two executive directors, Ivan Gazidis and Ken Friar, take home a yearly pay cheque.
>Gazidis, the Arsenal chief executive, will earn a mammoth £2.62million for his role in 2017. It is a slight decrease on his 2016 total of £2.65m.
lmao and he pretends to care about the club
>Friar, who works as the managing director and secretary of the club, earns £664,000 over the course of the year.
so much money for such a poor job
>The other board members - Sir Chips Keswick, Lord Harris and the Kroenkes - only take home expenses for their roles with the club, which are estimated to be around £25,000 per annum.
basically, you'll never know how much kroenke makes

>they sell players to china for piles of millions to compensate their transfers
And they're still free to reinvest that in the squad and they don't.

>these people don't care because salaries
How much do people in comparative roles at other clubs make?

>you'll never know how much kroenke makes
Firstly, what are profits? Those go to the people that own the club.

Secondly, it doesn't matter. If their wage bill and net spend are fourth fourth in the league then it follows to reason Kroenke is investing about the same percentage of earnings back in the club as other owners.

>Firstly, what are profits? Those go to the people that own the club.
Really wanted to know how much did Kroenke get from selling Ox. There are claims that we don't have money for transfer now.

Welbeck in

fuck off

Go on, mate. Welbeck in.

Ox was a liability, I'm glad he's gone.

>And they're still free to reinvest that in the squad and they don'
lmao of course they do, mong, but they balance their buys by selling shit players like oscar for 80m to china, which makes their transfer business very unique and not a good example for comparison, like I already said
>How much do people in comparative roles at other clubs make?
'how much do people with comparative consistent poor results do' would be the question
>Firstly, what are profits? Those go to the people that own the club.
it's a bit more complicated la...
>Secondly, it doesn't matter
it does, many want to know how much these fellas are making out of the club while it sinks into middle table
>If their wage bill and net spend are fourth fourth in the league then it follows to reason Kroenke is investing about the same percentage of earnings back in the club as other owners
lmao club economies are a bit more complex than that

after their worst season in 20 years, arsenal gave wenger a new contract, failed to renew alexis and ozil who will leave for free, and turned a profit during their transfer window. Doesn't look like a good direction

Arsenal deserve relegation tbqhwyl

imagine still thinking kroenke is more of a problem than wenger. if we had a good manager then kroenke would never even be spoke of.

Kroenke is the reason Wenger is still here. Wenger wouldn't last at United, City, Chelsea, etc. because their board wouldn't accept what he's doing. Why is that so difficult to understand?

His hands are tied.

Imagine unironically believing that Wenger is pulling jedi mind tricks on the board and forcing them to make him stay. Wenger should have no power over the board, in the same way that Mourinho or Van Gaal had no power over the board at Chelsea or United. It's Kroenke and the rest of the board's fault for being spineless and accepting mediocrity. Obviously Wenger's a big problem and responsible for the short-coming on the pitch, but there are people who could be fixing this that aren't doing anything.

Wenger isn't like any other managers, his power at the club is unrivaled.

And there are people who can take away his power. If Wenger doesn't agree then they sack him or don't renew his contract. The point is that the board allow Wenger to stay because they think he's doing well enough. They share the same lack of desire as Wenger and the rest of the club. I don't really know what point you're trying to make. If you're claiming that Wenger is the club, then you have no right to complain about what he's doing. If you're claiming that Wenger should go, we're pretty much arguing the same point here.

The only one that do that is Wenger himself he is Arsenal's dictator.

So realistically how much goals will Arseanal concede tonight? 3 maybe 4...? Who here /deadteam/ ?

Eternal Arsenal died a long time ago and was replaced with an imposter: a conspiracy thread

he should go. gadzidis wanted him gone but wenger mind tricked into staying so gadzidis had to come up with the catalyst for change meme to not look like a cuck. and still after 10 years of failure half our fanbase wants him to stay. hes a sith lord

and Gazidis is supposed to be his boss, just shows you how powerful Wenger is.

Yeah, you're right. Even if they sack Wenger and get someone who can make the club into top 4 every year for the next 20 years, they would be happy with it because stability is good business. However there are many things fans can do to not support the owner, like stop watching Arsenal games in official means, not buying official merchandise and not attending the home game to hurt the revenue of the club which hopefully will make Kroenke considers selling his shares to Usmanov.

Gazidis is a liar and AKB just like the rest. He never wanted Wenger gone.

>if Arsenal win, we get to laugh at WOBs
>if Arsenal lose, we get to laught at Arsenal even harder
Truly it is the greatest time to be ABA

good posts, thanks

I think the board are just being sentimental and be respectful to the longest ever manager in Arsenal's history. They have been with him for 20 years after all, they won't sack or even pressure Wenger to do something if there's no direct order from the owner or nothing major happened like relegation battles or player boycott.

If Arsenal win, WOBs will be happy their club won. If lose, WOBs will use it as ammunition against Wenger. Nothing can goes wrong by being WOB.

>WOBs will be happy their club won
IT'S JUST PAPERING OVER CRACKS WOBBIE

> Jack Wilshere warns critics not to question Arsenal's mental strength.

Jack Wilshere believes Arsene was unfairly criticised after last weekend's 2-1 loss to Watford and backed the team to return to winning ways quickly.

Watford striker Troy Deeney, who equalised with a penalty in the 71st minute, dismissed Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger's claims that the spot-kick was to blame for their loss and questioned the north London side's lack of heart

"As a player if your attitude is questioned, it's horrible," Wilshere said. "I look around this team and you can't question our mental strength.

"People try to put us down, and Arsene down. I don't think the comments were justified. When we look back at the game we look back at ourselves and we didnt do much wrong.

"We will move on. We have a game tomorrow (on Thursday) and another big game at the weekend, and we have seen with this team that the players can bounce back quick - and we will do that," Wilshere added.

Claude needs therapy and a hobby and a gf.

ffs was hoping no one would post this.

>Wheelchair is an AKB
How will Wilshcucks ever recover from this?

Confirmation that Arsenal v Liverpool will take pace on Friday December 22nd, 19.45 KO
