An alternative to death sentence is re-education.
Like heavy drugs based therapy, or maybe lobotomy. Sounds nasty but is better than killing people, also i'm not sure it the technology to completely change a person's psyche and basically recreate them as a harmless citizen is there (any doctor in the thread that can answer that?)

Not at all. Treating people on death row as though they have any dignity is a serious issue. They should be strung up against posts and disposed of like trash. Keeping it in the public eye would send the message to even the stupidest would-be criminals: We do not have to tolerate your villainy.

Capital Punishment is a healthy form of retribution in any form of society.
Your rights end where anyone else's rights begin. After you've broken your social contract by murdering someone, it is only fair the family decide upon your death.
It is not barbaric, death is a natural part of life, it's not like the government hides or shys away from the fact it uses the death penalty, if you kill somebody, you're aware of you being executed by the state is a possible outcome of the aforementioned scenario.
And frankly, capital punishment these days is not "barbaric whatsoever, you simply get a lethal injection of poison, and then you die.
Its not as if you're being burned at the stake or, hung, drawn, and quartered.
