thread derailed in 3, 2, 1...

Why do people like Godfather 2 more than the first?
it doesn't even follow the book

>star wars 1, indiana jones 1, die hard 1, jaws, all ranked higher than the godfather part 1

How is it possible to be this enamored with bland pop cinema? I enjoy a lot of those movies but jesus fuck

2 was always my fave cause I had it as a kid but I think it's the weakest one.

WHO. DOES. NUMBER. TWO. WORK. FOOOOORRRR *bbrbrrbbrbpppp*

>muh young vito corleone

>still never seen the first one

3 is the weakest one. didn't even feel like a mr. spy/james bond parody half the time. 2 has these scenes which make it at least better than 3

3 is more comedy than spy parody. not their fault they used all their good jokes, but their fault for making it a trilogy

>that would be a new question in the other line of questioning
oh man. i miss movies like this. silly comedies that are still packed with good jokes. now its just seth rogen + co.

>that pic of mini me eating a subway sandwich bigger than himself
>trying to carry his families thanksgiving turkey up some steps
that fucking guy

Funnily enough, the first film gives off more 90s nostalgia vibes than 60s now.

3>1>2 is the patrician order

it's not like lotr or the godfather. there's no objective quality to the script, cinematography, and acting. they're just three goofy films. whichever one has the most jokes you like you'll call the best.

>Godfather 2 is better than Godfather 1

I agree. Roth wasn't ever an issue. If you're going to have a "bad guy" make him interesting, not just a side note
