top kek
based gook

There used to be Jews there. Also the Krauts took all their food at one point

they didn't offer any resistance

like france

pretty much
french seem to like to go an about muh la resistance, but ignoring the fact that it was such a small percentage of the population. every number published is greatly exagegrated

what is it with these gooks and their bantz?

>every number published is greatly exagegrated

But you know the real numbers right

It had a famine because of the Nazis. In fact, Netherlands was the most recent Western country to have a famine because of that.

kek this

Aussies can thanks the burgers for saving them from being assraped by the japs back in WW2
Australian soldiers were just good to be sent to death by their british and american overlords

Not him, but this is objectively wrong. We would have beaten the Japanese in New Guinea without American assistance (this was basically what happened anyway) and once out of New Guinea the Japanese would have no hope of invading Australia. And even if they did invade Australia they would never have been able to conquer us.

It's 100% the other way round m8

Imagine trying to do your daily job while some asshole keeps waving his hand in front of your screen, strokes his hand through your hair and starts farting next to you.

That's what WW2 was like for us.

>"Anglo" Pacific War effort
pic related

>"American" Pacific War effort
Iwo Jima and two nukes

>Imagine trying to do your daily job
can't ride to your job without your bike

Aussies saving the burgers?

How you mean we didn't resist?
We fought for a few days, but we were up against an army with better tech and more men.
It was just the best to surrender, to spare our country.
Also we had some resistance and people hiding the jews (not that it worked, as we had records of everyone, where they lived and what religion they follow).

No, the famine was because the burgers didn't do their job, food supplies got cut and one of the worst winters in recent history fucked shit up. The Canadians had to come in and safe us.

>Singapore
>Iwo Jima
>nukes
Irrelevant. The deciding campaign for the fate of Australia was the New Guinea campaign. If we lost New Guinea, we could have very well been invaded. If we won, the Japanese threat was gone. And we won, mostly by ourselves.

I'm not trying to downplay America's role in the Pacific theatre. Obviously America was mainly responsible for winning in the Pacific as a whole. But to imply that America "saved" us is completely wrong when we mostly "saved" ourselves.

>No, the famine was because the burgers didn't do their job
...because of a German blockade. Don't you dare try to pin that on us you stupid jingo fuck.

Exactly, nip propaganda even used to play on it.

If you would just had liberated the ENTIRE country we wouldn't have this problem.

>Germans blockade all of your food
>somehow blame Americans
Only works if you were our vassal (you weren't). I have no idea what propaganda the Germans have been running on you during your shared time in the EU, but it's clearly altered your sense of history.

>US comes in the liberate Europe
>liberates half of the Netherlands in 1944
>decides to fuck off to who knows were during the winter
>doesn't try to feed the starving people in the occupied part
>Canadians have to help us out

The Germans might have blocked the food supplies, but it's not like there was a giant cage around the north

Not him, but if you came a bit earlier the Germans would have already fled before you arrived.

>Dolle Dinsdag (Mad Tuesday) took place in the Netherlands on 5 September 1944. After a broadcast by the Prime Minister-in-exile that alleged Breda had been liberated, many rumours spread across the occupied Netherlands that the liberation by Allied forces was at hand.
>Many Dutchmen celebrated on the streets while preparing to receive and cheer on the Allied liberators. Dutch and Orange flags and pennants were prepared, and many workers left their workplace to wait for the Allies to arrive. German occupation forces and NSB members panicked: documents were destroyed and many fled the Netherlands for Germany.
>by announcing the railway strike of 1944 the Germans started to panic even more, and many Germans fled to Germany. The industry and supply route from and to Germany was almost completely stopped, which made it even harder for Germany to defend what still was occupied

Buuttt..
>The Allied advance could not continue as the Allies had overextended themselves and had to halt in the South of the Netherlands. The northern part of the Netherlands had to wait until 5 May 1945 for their liberation

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dolle_Dinsdag

Hahahaha

You made me pull up Market Garden, and lo and behold 5 of the 6 commanders weren't even American

>US comes in to liberate Europe
We weren't obligated to. In fact we stayed out of the war until the Japs were retarded and attacked us. That your country got rolled over by Nazis is no fault but your own -- and any American involvement to liberate you was far beyond anything you could expect of us. As I said, you weren't our vassals.

>Canadians have to help us out
Wow let's take a look.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dutch_famine_of_1944–45

>Shortly after these shipments, the German occupiers allowed coordinated air drops of food over German-occupied Dutch territory by the Royal Air Force and Royal Canadian Air Force from 29 April to 7 May, and by the U.S. Army Air Forces from 1 to 8 May.

So what you're saying is, Brits and Canadians airdropped food for a week, we airdropped food for the next week, yet apparently doing 50% of that amounts to nothing? Fuck off you uneducated turd. I'm beginning to think all of your ancestors should have instead been expunged by the nazis so I wouldn't have to deal with your utter impudence today in 2017.

>Not him, but if you came a bit earlier the Germans would have already fled before you arrived.
And if you would have not gotten trampled and annexed you would have been fine. We weren't obligated to protect you, or bail you out, or do anything for you. The fact that any Americans at all died for ungrateful Dutch is disgusting given the amount of history you're rewriting in this very thread.

are you a ww2 vet? You're taking this very personally.

No, my uncle died for these shitheads. America should have just continued its isolationist path and let them all starve. The bonus would be that Vietnam and Iraq would have never happened either.

>any American involvement to liberate you was far beyond anything you could expect of us
Except you joined the Allies

>air drops of food over German-occupied Dutch territory [...] by the U.S. Army Air Forces from 1 to 8 May.
When we were already liberated
Also, that's 2 weeks of drops, well into spring. Not during the winter when people were actually dying.

The Nazi's wouldn't have 'expunged' us. They intended us to aid in the invasion of the UK. By putting kids on sailcamp and such.

Tbf, it's not as if the US liberated Europe out of the kindness of its heart when it didn't need to. It obviously did so for its own gain.

Netherlands and Poland took the darkest side of Nazi Germany, never forget.

Dutch people have an affinity for water and boats. And Germans knew it. So kids got to do all kinds of fun activities to prepare them to join the navy later.

Not a single Turk or Moroccan.

We didnt have non-white migrants before WW2.
We had laws in place to prevent colored migration.

Only after we had to pull back from Indonesia (because the USA granted it independence) we got many eurasians here. Which went well.
Because that worked out well we allowed Moroccan and Turks seasonal workers, who eventually were allowed to stay. Which gave us our Muslims.
And then we decolonized Suriname in the late 70's. Which gave us our blacks.
And now we allow Poles from the EU..

Pretty shit

Indonesia was five times the size of Germany filled with natural resources. Yet they allowed Japan to invade it.
We had to fix it after WW2. But the Americans logically wanted no part in it.

Dutch resistance actually warned tthe americans not to cross the bridge at arnhem but the americans didn't listen

Overall the resistance was not that effective though

collaborators, its an insult to poles to say the netherlands was "occupied"

belgium, netherlands, denmark, norway, france, czechs
all collaborated, ammonution and weaponry was rolling out, aswell as volunteers or resources, without much trouble

Some people just wanted to continue their normal life maybe?
Because we surrendered soon we still had a functioning country, making us capable to go on like normal.

Most people didn't really suffer much and in general the German soldiers were well behaved (probably helped that they didn't hate us like the Slavs). However the country definitely didn't prosper during the war, with a lot of resources (read: bikes) being stolen and young men being forced to work in labout camps.
Nearing the end of the war shit went downhill with widespread destruction of buildings/houses and confiscation of more goods. The West had a famine called the Hongerwinter.

Personally my paternal grandfather was a student at the time and was forced to either sign a document of collaboration or work in a labour camp for some time. He eventually left the camp early due to GoT level scheming. He later traveled with the Candian army (iirc) as a translator where he saw a city that was bombed into oblivion (don't recall which one). Because his father was a doctor he also had to help collect bodies. It all had a huge impact on him and he wrote it all down in the 70s.

My paternal grandmother had to hide in the basement when they heard the ticking of V1/V2s that didn't make it to England.

My maternal grandfather was a farmers son in the South. They hid various people in their farm during the war (as almost all farmers did) including the family of the towns mayor, probably Jews and some English speaking people. Near the end of the war their house was on the frontline between the Canadians and the Germans since it bordered a canal so the Moffen blew it up. Took them years to get their life back on track and then he got sent to Indië.

>a lot of resources (read: bikes)

It's true though, my grandfathers parents forbade him to ride bike because it would get stolen otherwise

Most of our jews died, more than in Nazi germany, because we had them all registered before the war already.

>Ive got nothing to hide :DDD

>blame America

>nazis dindu nuffin

It wasn't our job to feed you fucks

I know, it just always makes me laugh that it was a real thing.

>join the allies to liberate the West
>b-but it's not our job to safe the west

Germaniggers were lacking ressources, they'd steal everything, french captured tanks ended on the east front

Ignore him, it's the Jerries fault for blowing up all of our infrastructure and stealing our food resulting in the famine
