Other teams haven't just been lying down for them for 15 years. With them winning the division every year they have to play all 3 other afc division winners every year. The AFC has been the better conference most of their run too, and the other three teams in the AFC East are mediocre because the Patriots hold them down and suffocate them more than because they're just not good. The Patriots earn their ticket every year.
