Films & stuff

How about you actually use that site instead of making Sup Forums threads about it

almost done friends

how about you actually use your dick instead of fapping to cuck porn?

Both are possibilities

very good, i actually thought on the silver globe was the most enjoyable from that chart

i still havent seen the roes room and we the living

that chart's kind of a joke though
even if some of the films on it are more obscure than others
none of them are beyond entry level

I see you're a promoter of black cinema, my brother

+1

>zanzibar
>not obscure
really made me think

this. why is Sup Forums in the unpaid business of advertising another site? a site for bloggers basically nonetheless

it's the only place to discuss film on this board

tfw i am literally fucking retarded

about to watch Filmstruck's short+feature thing for this week, Wasp and Stalker. let me know what i think of them.

how is their library now?

>even if some of the films on it are more obscure than others
This is literally what I said. Now, tell me where you read "these aren't obscure at all".
None of them demonstrate more advance/complex/difficult filmmaking than what was on the entry level side. They're just random.

well, i've only had it for about 3 days, but from what i've seen it seems fairly extensive. definitely way more interesting than the Netflix or Hulu or Amazon catalogs, but that should go without saying.

Wasp is nice, Arnold very much doing in short what she would in feature with Fish Tank and American Honey

>none of them are beyond entry level

this is the better thread

>None of them demonstrate more advance/complex/difficult filmmaking than what was on the entry level side.
yes the zanzibar group does, its literally the new new wave
also how many have you watched from the mid level chart?

By that logic, you're advertising your shitposts.

for now

Someone said they're watching TCM? I caught the end of 42nd Street as I just got home and it looked pretty interesting. Amazing production and quality for being from 1933.

Anybody watching right now?

every Sup Forums image with the "is2" subdomain is taking ages to load here. is it just me?:

That was me in the other thread. It sounded like they had the narrator version for blind people even though I didn't enable the function. Yeah, it is a good film though.

Nope, I've had this issue in other occasions.
Thanks, gook

I don't use is2 but 4cdn has been slow as well. Must be Sup Forums.

more like nu wave

>Amazing production and quality for being from 1933
Bigot

/thegr1fter

Yeah it was on my end too. They sometimes air some weird cuts of films. On Shoot the Piano Player last year the bottom 40% of the screen was a giant black bar.

bitch

Hmmm, what?

BITCH

Why are you being rude, user?

WHAT'S UP FAGS

PREVIOUS THREAD:

Should probably let sleeping autism lie, but there are some fairly interesting discussions to be had from it

Is there any film maker in the last 50 years that assimilated and surpassed the triptych scene from Napoleon? There's no way I could see that being argued as not worthwhile

I'm also surprised nobody brought up passion of Joan of arc, it's hard to think of films since that are more emotionally powerful

I think Ben Affleck is a decent director.

He's pretty good

what movies

Are you talking about that guy who said to not watch old films? I'm pretty sure he was trolling.

The oeuvre

Thoughts on this?

Live By Night???

using a different program to share with a couple friends

how is my kino selection?

...

That one I didn't watch yet, and besides the reception rape, hope I can find the well-rooted filmmaking of the other three

Kodi > Plex.

Try throwing a DVD or bluray folder at Plex.

>endless list of empty folders and .pls posters

I'm still a mega pleb so you think I should should finish basic essential stuff before watching some art-house stuff?

Any PWSA?

Manchester by the sea is honest filmmaking

Tom Ford > John Ford

Choose substance not empty style

>20 posters

AKA normality.
What would be 'right', 54 posts and 54 posters?

Yes xir, made equally by people of all races and genders.

20 samefags ain't normal.

>TMA
>7/10
Embryo

Watched it in class back in high school, Tom Baker was a great Rasputin. Don't remember much else though.

It looked fantastic but it was quite clearly disjointed and butchered.

Wonderful choice of number

>watch a movie
>it's shit
ugh

>you're not filling machill's boipussy right now
why live?

;_;

Only braindead users rate and review movies they've watched

lol sure buddy

>it's a "review that starts with a long winded anecdote that only has tertiary relevance to the film's themes" episode
>hundreds of likes

One year ago my best friend killed herself

HAHAHAHAHAHHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAAAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHHAHAAHAHAHHAAHHAHHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHA

Can't wait for them to get together again soon

Stop lying. We know you never had any friends.

>a conversation is samefagging
Lol buddy.

What do you guys think of this?

I guess it's a pretty long street

dumb lolbuddy poster

>list starts with In early June, 2013, my best friend killed herself.

>recent activity

Good, she was probably a dumb bitch.

You're not doing anything besides shitposting with a bunch of losers, why don't you do it too?

Is this your list, redddit? :)

>"Oh, no, he bumped it!"

fag

>too busy playing vidya to watch movies

MUH DIK

>86 hours deep into The Witcher 3
This weekend will be whiskey and witchin', my man.

>The Witcher 3
You do have pic related right? Literally Fellowship of the Ring tier adventure.

I have both expansions, don't know anything about either one so I'm pretty excited. I'm actually worried about when I'm finally going to be done with the game.

>tfw laptop too shitty to run TW3 so you can't play it while at night security shifts

good times ahead, enjoy them.

not a spoiler, but pick jennifer

I've been a Trissfag since day one and have dedicated Geralt to her in TW3. Am I screwed?

The writing for the non-canonical/not intended storylines (Geralt choosing Triss, Geralt not helping Bloody Baron etc.) suffers from low quality writing in comparison to what the developers actually intended for the player to do (choosing Yennefer, helping Baron etc.).

wrong thread
wrong board
go away!

The Witcher is relevant in every thread and on every board.

Hearts of Stone is more of a kino than any adventure film since Raiders of the Lost Ark.

kys you're selfs

...

>I game

Anons, I need help. I played The Witcher for maybe two hours and got real bored and haven't played since, this was months ago. What's wrong with me? Should I pick it up again?

just do it so you can play the third one with some context. it isn't even a long game, if you are talking about the first gaem.

>playing video games
No video game will ever have a story comparable to the greatest plays, novels, or films.

I rewatched the Passion last week and I my god what a superb movie

If you mean TW1, I understand not liking that one at all. It's not the worst game ever made but it hasn't aged too well and the combat isn't as "modernized" as the next two games. You could probably skip it honestly, just reading a description of the game will probably be enough.

If you mean 2 or 3, then they might just not be your games man. Both TW2 and TW3 didn't resonate with me until I gave them each a second chance though, so maybe that's the case with you. I'd say give them another shot.

>playing games for the story
this is where you're wrong
