they don't make teen movies any more, it has all moved to cable

Honestly, Dear White People.

None like these. All teen flicks nowadays are filled with tragedies and cynicism

>These movies have no tragedy or cynicism.

You can't really make movies like these anymore because teenage girls now lead extremely vapid existences defined totally by social media. No one who is of the age that could competently write a screenplay could accurately capture what it's like to be a braindead high school girl in 2017.

They still make shitty "popular crowd vs. nice girl" movies starring nobodies like Victoria Justice or whoever, but no one cares about them.

Also, teen movies about the American experience don't really play well overseas, which is all studios care about, so they're less likely to get made.

...

Spot on, I'd say.

Superbad. We watched that movie like a 100 times in high school

probably Pitch Perfect

superbad came out 10 years ago.

Me, earl and the dying girl

wild child (2008)

Spring Breakers

21/22 jump street homeboy

It will be Spider-Man: Homecoming.

Just you wait and see.

kino

Spring Breakers, to be honest

Series

>implying Heathers isn't 100% tragedies and cynicism

Honestly this. It will take a while for people to realize it though.

mean girls is only three years older than superbad my man

You're right, but Superbad feels really recent to me for some reason. I'd have said it came out this decade off the top of my head

Easy A? Came out in 2010.

>You can't really make movies like these anymore because teenage girls now lead extremely vapid existences defined totally by social media
Right, unlike teenagers generally for the previous century who's lives were defined by socialising and media. Heaven fucking forbid if you combine the two though, that's clearly an apocalypse scenario.

Shouldn't the 80s be breakfast club?

All the choices of OP were cult classics so the only answer is picrel

Instagram/Facebook/Twitter are not the same as anything that has existed in time up until now. Being a teenager in the 80s really wasn't that different from being a teenager in the 50s. Being a teenager now is completely different from being a teenager in the 80s.

Not that hard to grasp.

21 Jump Street
Project X
Palo Alto

Suicide Squad

i would actually agree with this

Literally every generation is convinced of this and they're always wrong
>We didn't have all this rock and roll when I was a kid, I even saw a nice white girl with a nigger the other day, what is happening to children
>Back in my day we weren't exposed to so much violence in films and television and video games, it'll destroy these kids minds
>Kids these days just sit on their cell phones texting each other or on the internet and not interacting, what happened to meeting up with your friends in real life?
>Teenagers are such vapid idiots these days, they just constantly update their social media profiles
That third one was what everyone said about you by the way.
The fucking ancient Greeks said stuff like this thousands of years before Christ, they thought society had utterly changed because kids didn't treat them with the same respect they treated adults with at that age. But no man, every other time throughout history that people said exactly what you're saying with some minor changes (replace social media with X controversial fad) was a coincidence, this one time you really did happen just by chance to be right, kids are taking pictures of themselves aka western society is doomed, sure.

Spring Breakers or Project X

How the fuck did they manage to make a movie about 4 fucking hot teenage girls in bikini's so fucking boring??

this best fits the bill

good call

I was gonna say "Bratz the movie" as a joke, but I just looked it up and say it was released in 2007. Where does the time go?

There are none.

All those are Jewish social propaganda from a Jewish perspective about how white people are supposed to be. Don't fall for such lies.

your a dorable
open a book

There isn't one. The current generation are a bunch of cunts that no one wants to think about now, never mind remember in the future.

>4 fucking hot teenage girls
>4
is your last name korine

We're talking about movies about teenage girls over the span of about 30 years. We're not having a debate over how dozens of generations view who came before them and how they complain about the good old days.

Nice try, but save your pseudo-intellectual debating for another thread. Social media is different than anything that's come before it - that's not up for debate. The end.

>Clueless
>not Ghost World

she was the best one desu

...

...

this

Is Clueless actually a decent flick?

yes
