How come this kino wasn't nominated for Best Motion Picture by the Oscars?

How come this kino wasn't nominated for Best Motion Picture by the Oscars?

>Catholic man who slaps actors and a rustic cowboy bust Hollywood Communist ring led by a gay man
Gee I wonder

Because advertising

It's not kino.

because it's a flick

Because it's too political.

Coen bros best films are ignored while their worst films are praised
>Shitstain that is Inside Llewyn Davis nominated for 2 oscars
>While absolute kino Hail Caesar only nom'd for one

Because its not a very good movie, even if it was relatively amusing.

It had a poor third act.

It criticized the studio system.

It made fun of the narrative that Hollywood's covertly communist writers did nothing wrong. Remember they literally nominated Trumbo last year.

Oh man I can't remember how many times Ive seen Trumbo on HBO or saw it on cable and just had to watch it because it was so compelling!

Fucking kill yourself. I'm really sick of this wannabe taste. Shit flick.

It really wasn't that good. Even as a straight farce it's super inconsistent

>>Shitstain that is Inside Llewyn Davis
no

I thought it was really funny and better than a lot of people give it credit for. Well shot to, but that's just about every Coen film.

It was wrongly advertised as being a movie about Clooney, but it felt like he hardly had scream time

Solid 7.8/10

This movie was shit. I think it had some great aspects to it but overall I felt like it needed a bit more...

>Artist, Birdman, La La Land
this is great, have 10 Oscars

>Hail, Drumpf
you make fun of grorious Horrywood? Blacklisted

It was plodding and bitter. Little humor despite ostensibly attempting it.

Too many in-jokes, and not even the good kind, just "LOOK HERE ARE CHANNING TATUM AND JONAH HILL IN SERIOUS ROLES"

i also really liked this film

it's about hollywood but doesn't suck the academy and their values's collective cocks.

also, americans are retarded when it comes to their own history.

Would that it were so simple...

>LOOK HERE ARE CHANNING TATUM AND JONAH HILL IN SERIOUS ROLES
>SERIOUS ROLES
In what dimension where those roles serious?

Because farcical Coens never gets awards season love, only self-serious Coens.

I personally thought this was a great movie that did a lot of things I didn't expect. Not their best but it's obvious they have a great knowledge of golden era Hollywood and that whole time period of movie making. It was a little meandering but the characters were fun enough to keep the pace up.
