Previous thread died before bump limit reached:

Yes, you for example, always so diligent to honour the dead with this linking, should have helped to avoid this embarrassment that happens when threads die before autosage

actual previous thread

It probably would make a lot more sense if letterboxd threads were on /s4s/

>she texts me first
>doesn't text me back when i reply
was it autism?

maybe she remembered you're a giant creep

it's great, one of the best films of 2016. make sure to watch the 3 hour cut, though.

← (You)

My name is Pinkie Pie
(Hello!)
And I am here to say
(How you're doing?)
I'm gonna make you smile
And I will brighten up you day
It doesn't matter now
(What's up?)
If you are sad or blue
(Howdy?)

'Cause cheering up my friends
Is just what Pinkie is here to do
'Cause I love to make you
Smile, smile, smile
Yes, I do
It fill my heart with sunshine
All the while
Yes it does
'Cause all I really need's a smile, smile, smile
From these happy friends of mine

I like to see you grin
(Awesome!)
I love to see you beam
(Rock on!)
The corners of your mouth turned up is always Pinkie's dream (Hoof bump!)
But if you're kind of worried
And your face has made a frown
I'll work real hard and do my best
To turn that sad frown upside down

'Cause I love to make you grin, grin, grin
Yes I do
Bust it out from ear to ear let it begin
Just give me a joyful grin, grin, grin
And you fill me with good cheer

It's true some days are dark and lonely
And maybe you feel sad
But Pinkie will be there to show you that it isn't that bad
There's one thing that makes me happy
And makes my whole life worthwhile
And that's when I talk to my friends and get them to smile

I really am so happy
Your smile fills me with glee
I give a smile I get a smile
And that's so special to me

'Cause I love to see you beam, beam, beam
Yes I do
Tell me what more can I say
To make you see
That I do
It makes me happy when you beam, beam, beam
Yes it always makes my day

Come on every pony smile, smile, smile
Fill my heart up with sunshine, sunshine
All I really need's a smile, smile, smile
From these happy friends of mine
Come on every pony smile, smile, smile
Fill my heart up with sunshine, sunshine
All I really need's a smile, smile, smile
From these happy friends of mine
Yes the perfect gift for me
Is a smile as wide as a mile
To make me happy as can be
Smile, smile, smile, smile, smile
Come on and smile
Come on and smile

answer pls

emily jean is the answer

do you mean films with a central mystery that is never really resolved, or mystery centered specifically around a certain area

I'm watching (You)

centered around a mysterious, eerie, aethereal and/or haunting area and it's never really explained what it is

Angel's Egg and A Field in England come to mind, but that's a pretty specific request so i'm not sure i can help you much more

Well, thanks for nothing then, faggot

that's pretty rude, my man. i gave you two movies that more or less fit that description.

ugetsu?

this is not me, user. I appreciate your suggestions

this sounds good.

I was thinking it could be something like Aguirre Wrath of God too, where the environment is unknown and hostile to the characters

Hourglass Sanatorium

>tfw NEET
>tfw average 4 movies a day

Tfw I've seen less than 12 movies since January 2016

why are you here

>watch 2 movies a day
>go out and work out the rest of the day
>feel like I'm wasting my life

letterboxd.com/farre/

I dunno, I've been nominated a few times.

Get out imposter
I have an extensive watchlist that I never
Get around to at all

How do you guys watch more "obscure" stuff? Like international films that don't have physical releases in English, or stuff that isn't on Netflix.

I've tried Mubi but it's selections are often questionable, is there any other good streaming services for lesser known international stuff?

private trackers

Filmstruck's catalog is fairly extensive

besides that you can try to get onto private trackers like PTP or Karagarga

When can I expect an invite. Cuck boy

try youtube, youll be surprised with how many obscure stuff is on there, and a lot of it w english subs

invite me then faggot

Post top 10 and profile.

which tracker?

I have 3 on SC and 1 on both CG and HDB. PTP is closed.

As you wish, here is a top 9, I don't have a concrete tenth. Shall I bestow upon you my profile name now

I mean, do you at least have a job?

You're exactly like that lunatic black lady I had to deal with today. Go fuck yourself, you slithery cunt.

no, I'm on college but my personal life is /r9k/ tier

I'll paypal someone $20 for a ptp invite :(

I just said they're closed you nigger

Fandor and Mubi are trash.

True.
And so are PTs still living and breathing on this outdated ratio model. It's dumb, useless and counter-productive.
In a very near future these will be the betamax days of torrents/sharing, only to be laughed at.

If I knew that maybe I wouldn't get shit every thread I'm in

Valhalla Rising

...

My mom told me to apologize for calling you the n word. Sorry.

Doing 2016 catch up.

-.-

where did you watch shin godzilla?

>level 1 pleb
Don't overrate yourself, buddy

What do you think of new competence?

>Recent New Competence films are, for me, stuff like La La Land, A Cure for Wellness and this [john wick 2], which seem designed as self-conscious "coherent" antitheses to the haphazard aesthetics that have proliferated in mainstream moviemaking. Yet they all lack that intangible something that would make them great, or even good. You can "see" them clearly, but there's little, between the lines, to really see.
>It's a term I came up with, and like any such grouping, it's more than a bit of a shallow catch-all. I'm more a believer that each movie is unique and creates its own specific analytical problems. But creating a grouping helps me organize some of my thoughts and feelings on the art of the moment, and hopefully go deeper, if not in writing, then in conversation or reflection.
>I also agree that craft itself can be meaning, and the craft here I think conjures a moral vacuum that rubs me the wrong way. The movie made me soul-sick, all the more so because of its arch pretensions to Buster Keaton-esque comedy, its thoughtless stereotyping of characters and character actors, and its numbingly pie-eyed adoration of firearms. At this moment, I'm just not able to find much fun in treating an AR rifle like a fine wine.
