it was a different time

no it was not

ther started the retardness that became so popular.

after that:
cow and chicken
jersey shore and likes
it's always sunny in philadelphia

Yes it was. It was on Nickelodeon.

Yes it was you idiot. My mom hated it whenever I watch this shit since it had no moral values and shit

Did you tell her not to have a cow?

It was considered the same kind of shit Adult Swim has on. age 20+ people liked Ren and Stimpy.

radical dude

Then why was it on Nickelodeon, airing at the same time as Doug and Rugrats?

Again, wrong. Perhaps 20+ people liked it, but it wasn't shown on MTV like Bevis and Butthead, between episodes of The Real World and Guns n Roses videos. Ren & Stimpy was on Nick between episodes of Doug and Rugrats.

my mother was the same
tom and jerry puke retard edition

Ren and Stimpy was total trash.

I definitely remember it airing on MTV

It was on nick first i loved it as a 12yo.

After it went off the air MTV added it to its cartoon line up. Then several more years later the bad new episodes aired on "Spike"

cow and chicken was pretty good actually

dat ass

All the best kids shows had adult themes in them. Even if somewhat hidden in cryptic sight gags and one liners only adults would get.

>adult themes

MAMA HAD A CHICKEN
MAMA HAD A COW
DAD WAS PROUD
HE DIDN'T CARE HOW

In my country it was showed right after saturday morning cartoons

youre all wrong, there was two different ren and stimpy shows, one that was supposed to be for children and one that was obviously inappropriate, but the lines between them often blurred.

Good, decent parents realized it was way too lewd for children and did not let them watch it. If your parents let you watch Ren and Stimpy when you were younger than 12 then they were bad parents who didn't care about you.

Joke's on you, I was 12.

Better than that shitty Rick and Morty cartoon.
Seriously I wonna rape the creators for making the most plebeian show ever made

looks like I'm jackin' to straight shota this morn.

>thx user

what point are you making?

Not growing up in the 90s detected-
There was no way for parents to find out what you watched.
Most of the time parents didn't even know where you were, we didn't have mobile phones or gps tracking.
the early 90s was a dream come through for a kid.

I remember Courage the Cowardly Dog being creepy as fuck when I was a kid

there is one way to know.
only having cable in the living room

i hated cow and chicken. i can still hear cow's voice in my head

Literally me

cheeken?

we didn't have cable. we only had two channels when I grew up.
A commercial one and the government-owned broadcasting one.
R&S was broadcast after school, when both my parents were still at work.

>There was no way for parents to find out what you watched.

What the fuck was your floorplan? Did you have a television in your room? Your parents could walk by at any time and see what you're watching. The potential punishment, the stress, the low volume, and the hair trigger finger on the "last" button on the remote were not worth watching some show.

anyone remember rockos modern life?

I explained how I watched it here
Other than that, there was always someone who had parents that were away. Most parents had jobs and were pretty much not present for all of my friends as I remember.

It wasn't until 97-98 when cellphones became a household object that parents started calling to find out where we were or tell us to come home at this and that time.

Yeah that show was great.
