if you agree with this neo-luddite, why are you using a computer?
shouldn't you be innawoods?

shut the fuck up amerilard

my incredible girth aside, don't you see the contradiction?
it's like being a vegan butcher

No it isn't you fucking idiot. It means being a butcher but still agreeing with vegans. There is a huge difference there but I don't expect an americlap like you to understand this

21
The way in which the technological system restricts your freedoms is by forcing you to use technology.
His alternative is indeed being innawoods, but what it really means is ejecting itself from society, being lonely in the wilderness - it's not optimal to say the least and most people can't endure it.
Not to mention that using sites like this for psychological release is also forced by the technological system to release the pressure it puts people in. If it wasn't Sup Forums it'd be any other kind mass media or entertainment.

I would have known earlier if i had read his manifesto earlier

26

He had other ideas besides innawoods. You can accept core principles of innawoods and not unnecessarily throw away existing infrastructure. It's easy to take any idea, push it to extreme limits and say that it's dumb because you pushed it to dumb limits.

Plenty of "neo luddites" just desire a scale back or even a simple slowdown of tech advancements. Tech causes specialization of the workforce, and hyper specialization makes your job feel meaningless in 99% of the situations

If you go to innawoods, they win...

good points, well stated.

going to give this a read.
i remember his 'ship of fools' being prophetic

Here's a comfy PDF:

Should have been in the OP 2bh

I'm really hoping that the current generation will get sick of this and begin an anti material movement. It's pretty much the only hope.

Damn you're upset

>mad amerifats

he was right, but his terrorism was literally retarded, and completely irrelevant to anything meaningful he had to say

there is literally nothing contradictory about being a vegan butcher.

>Checks flag
>Not surprised

About 3 1/2 years into my B.S. C.S. degree

How long did he live alone in his cuckshed? Is there a documentary about his life?

>how old are you when you realized that Ted Katczyski was right?

It was wrong of Ted to leave his girl Mary Jo in the car after he drove off the bridge and it sank that night.

I was 17 when it occurred to me that maybe he was on to something. That was in 1997.

Why are Poles some of the most based people in history? Seriously.

I know there's a rap video about him.

Ted Kaczynski, you mean the guy who mailed bombs to people who were just minding their own business, and blew those fuckers up? Same guy that is a good candidate for being the Zodiac killer as well?

Discarding material progress and living like a savage is a good way to get conquered by more advanced people. Coincidentally, Ted has now been conquered, and he lives out the rest of his life in a Supermax prison with a bunch of niggers and other shitskins.

How old were you when you realised Timothy McVeigh is a modern day patriot?

19

McVeigh forgot that bombings look bad if it kills children

12

maybe OP is and is communicating via a proxy he mails writen letters to who them posts them on Sup Forums and writes down the replies and mails it back to him.

Don't mind me, just looking for digits

McVeigh is a very good example of why lone wolfs are fucking worthless.

He'd have gotten his point across better if he had started a political party and spent years campaigning like Farage. Go ahead, ask anybody that's not on Sup Forums what McVeigh stood for.

>mcveigh not a government agent patsy

sup FBI

He wasn't right. He couldn't isolate him from the modern world and he realized it when a bulldozer smashed his favourit part of the woods and then he chimped out and went on a murder spree. As with most crimes, it was a reaction out of failure which obliterated his ego.

Technology won and there is no way out of it or turning it back. Now, withing the process of digitalizing the entire globe, this is more true than ever. Even in the most remote part of the woods or antarctica you are nothing more but a dot on a GPS map, a short helicopter flight away.

I thought mcveigh was a revenge act for ruby ridge

To be fair, he only got busted because of his brother.
If I recall correctly, most of the police/FBI agents in the case thought it wasn't him right until they found his cabin.
But I will agree that his choice of targets was fucking dumb.

That and he was salty about the Salt weapons ban

That's not true, he states in the book he needed to kill to make people remember his manifesto, and it worked.

Yeah, and that's why he should have gone after that Asian sniper that shot the woman through a door rather than some federal building.

it wasn't very effective though. most people never read it and if you ask the average person who ted is, they would have no idea.

all he's remembered for is being the unabomber.

i think he could have made an impact if he had properly marketed the materials, but he obviously had no idea how to get his ideas out there.

I think you would be surprised how many people know about his views, for example Bill Joys famous article

wired.com/2000/04/joy-2/

just not many will admit they agree with the unabomber

Yes, but if he would have just written books he'd be another writer and his material would be mostly disregarded, if he would even ever be published. He states it in his book too.
Another point is that those who do read it are the right kind of people in my opinion. I don't want to call it redpilled because it's cringy, but you know what I mean - people who google terrorists manifestos are more likely to be revolutionaries.

>revenge act for ruby ridge
Close. Waco. And on the anniversary too.

Does anyone have the monochrome version of this with his face all blurred? It had some kind of caption and I can't recall what it was now.

19 or 20
it was sophomore year of college i think

BASED Ted tried to warn us about the dangers of technology.

>McVeigh is a very good example of why lone wolfs are fucking worthless

Mc Veigh was no "lone wolf". He just covered the tracks of his militia unit well and he refused to narc on them.

Going against technological progress is a fool's errand. He's right on the money with hating psychologists and leftists though.
