1. Jews
2. Not anytime soon. Better start listening user. (I like Gucci Mane personally (he's redpilled))

It already ended. Niggers ran out of creativity. They now make the call of duty 45663 of rap music.

Youth culture has always gravitated to what older generations think is "edgy" or "racy." The gravitation of white youth towards hip-hop is identical to what happened in the 50s when they gravitated toward rock and roll.

How is he redpilled?

To me, today hip hop artists are like yesterday's rock stars

And today's rock stars are emo faggots

>How did the cultural trend for popular white kids to start liking rap/hip-hop culture start?

When the Jews in Hollywood realized what a great tool it was to dumb down the general population.

If you can make all music shit, or rather make everyone thinks shit is cool, you can pump out cheap shit and everyone will buy it.

>and when will it finally end?

The destruction of the prior culture has already been achieved, essentially, so it doesn't really matter. Perhaps not in small towns or religious families, but in the general public mass zombification has already been achieved because the first wave of children are now the parents, and most act accordingly. It's only going to end when someone find a new trend (which like I said, doesn't matter), which I don't see happening, and if it did it would probably be a worse genre... like Rap+Dubstep+Sexual/Pornotrack for use at massive Jewish hand-wringing orgy concerts where everyone just fucks everyone on the crowd-space. On the upside, perhaps that means they would all get Syphilis or AIDS. On the downside, the Jews probably thought of that first.

Because it's refreshingly masculine in this sea of cuckdom.

This answer is objectively correct.

>How did the cultural trend for popular white kids to start liking rap/hip-hop culture start and when will it finally end?
One of the founding groups of hip-hop were Jewish-Irish-Italians living in NYC. Beastie Boys ring a bell?

You think he's not?

Rock stars turned into emo little fags, and Pop Stars became niggers.

Take your pick. At least the Pop stars aren't running around being faggots and dicking little girls like that one fag that ran into a pole.

>It already ended.
but it seems stronger today than ever. It's common place for twelve year olds to wall twerk to Gas Pedal on youtube. Even in the early 2000's that shit was unheard of

...

I don't know that much about him. From what I've heard he seems to be a Migos-tier rapper that isn't lyrical or intelligent

he looks chilly, wonder what hes saying

and jazz the two decades before. i dont think white youth embraced the blues until the late 50s though.

Hiphop was the new thing and captured something urban. This was in the 80s. Then it kept gaining popularity and steam through marketing and exposure, blowing up in the 90s and with each new generation more and more kids were exposed to it from a very early age until hiphop basically saturated pop music.

So the "cultural trend for popular white kids" is basically just a result of exposure from a young age. Eventually it will be pushed back by newer trends, but it takes time.

Reminder, this was in 1981, skip to 1:54:
youtube.com/watch?v=pHCdS7O248g
Debbie Harry was 36 at the time BTW.

I don't think it's easier to capitalize on hiphop now that it's popular. It takes a lot of work and planning (not just music but also branding and fashion etc.) to really squeeze money out of it because there's so much competition and everyone wants to blow up. Ordinary pop singing and songwriting is not any less dumbed down than putting together beats and combining with lyrics. It's really a misconception of music and skill to think there's a meaningful qualitative difference between the two in terms of skill/talent, in my opinion.

If you're interested at all in how the business works, listen to this interview with 50 Cent:
youtube.com/watch?v=-axFEk2ArLM
At times you have to read between the lines, but there's a ton of substantial stuff there about how the popular rap game works. I also recommend looking up the Breakfast Club interviews with Jay-Z and Fat Joe for more of this to gain insight on how music and business come together and why and how these guys are popular and stay relevant and making money.

So where does this end though?

It all started with some weird scenes inside the canyon

poor lion

You must be young

It doesnt you. Are you 80 years old or just a faggot?

Look at the music and culture of right now. How much more edgy can we get?

>how music and business come together and why and how these guys are popular and stay relevant and making money.
Wow, so poetic.

You have no idea. Every rapper you named is under contract to a recording label. Every dime they "make" goes to the label and they are rewarded with a percentage, however little.
These people are told when to wake up, what to wear, what to say, and most importantly, how high to jump, in order to not break contract.

>and here's you thinking they're self made millionaires
Heikki, pls.

My african american fellow

Did you not live in the 80s to late 2000s. If anything we are muth less edgy now. Sjw bullshit aside

>How did the cultural trend for popular white kids to start liking rap/hip-hop culture start and when will it finally end?

>1890s Bluegrass - white people
>1900s Blues - songs about screwing white women
>1920s Jazz/Big band - songs about screwing white women
>1940s Avantgarde Jazz - songs about screwing white women written while on heroin
>1950s Motown/Early Rock N Roll -songs about screwing white women
>1960s Counter culture revolution, folk music dominated by whites, but geared the culture more towards pitying blacks than respecting and fearing them and ultimately deepened the trend. Jimi hendrix did something here.
>1970s Funk/disco - songs about screwing white women and doing drugs.
>1980s Rap/techno/house - songs about dancing and having fun and urban youth violence
>1990s Hip Hop/GFunk. Wiggers are born. -songs about screwing white women, selling drugs and killing and robbing people
>2000s White Boybands -> Boy band Hip hop collaboration. PDiddy. British Grime rap. Chavs are born. Dirty South uprising. Autotune becomes the definitive club sound. - songs about screwing white women (feat. - Justin Timberlake)
>2010s Hip Hop's psychedelic era, rapping more about doing drugs than selling them - and screwing white women. More nihilistic than ever.

It won't end until you kill and deport them all - not that I advocate that or anything.

Dubstep came and left, leaving a shit stain on all dance music but it's definitely gone. That was pretty damn edgy.
You gotta realise most teenagers aren't music fanatics and listen to garbage because someone else is. I wouldn't worry about what a 15 year old or the equivalent of one, thinks.

More importantly, what can we do to end this assault on Western civilization?

HE HAS A FUCKING ICECREAM CONE TATTOO ON HIS FACE YOU NIGGER LOVER.

But if you take the profanity, the nudity, fuckin gang shit, just all the content of today's music, nothing earlier comes close. Who knows where the edge will lead from here

music is music, you like what you like.
get over yourself.
i'm not going to tailor my musical tastes to fit someone else's ideas.

>You have no idea.
The irony, Davidu. It's pretty clear it's you who has no clue what you're talking about. All three I mentioned followed a different career curve. It would take too much time to explain the details here, but all three are entrepreneurial. Obviously they were initially just signed to contracts to serve the businessmen above them. It makes no difference in the context I was talking about. How exactly was a broke-ass uneducated negro like 50 Cent going to just run everything on his own in his 20s anyway when the rap game was already a big money business? Does it make you feel better about yourself to belittle him? Obviously he needed to become a record company servant to get anywhere. 50 Cent incidentally also came up in a different era than Jay-Z and Fat Joe, and how he came up changed the game so he was onto something even when he was a pleb. None of these three is in the position they were when they got their first deals though. It's pretty clear you have no actual knowledge on any of it and are just dealing in generalities.

>i'm not going to tailor my musical tastes to fit someone else's ideas.
DO IT

Burrrrr

>Beastie Boys founding
>anything other than the white demographic

why does there have to be an "end"?
life isn't like TV, bro

>How did the cultural trend for popular white kids to start liking rap/hip-hop

jews but is older then rap/hip hop
it could be argued it started around the blues age or and the beat generation

Start: NWA and Tupac

When will it end: Hopefully soon

s Blues - songs about screwing white women
s Jazz/Big band - songs about screwing white women
s Avantgarde Jazz - songs about screwing white women written while on heroin
s Motown/Early Rock N Roll -songs about screwing white women
s Funk/disco - songs about screwing white women and doing drugs.

None of that is true. Not even a little.

>Gas Pedo gas pedo gas pedo gas pedo gas pedo gas pedo gas pedo

Nogs are really good at communicating feelings, science & logic, not so much

Works well in music

It begins here.

>why does there have to be an "end"?
I dunno, ask the jews.

Fuck off nigger. Shit, you're kinda right.

>but it seems stronger today than ever. It's common place for twelve year olds to wall twerk to Gas Pedal on youtube. Even in the early 2000's that shit was unheard of

Pretty sure you'll find that the vast majority of those 12-year-olds belong to the American middle-class.
What I'm saying is that it's not 12-year-olds, and it's not whites or blacks, the operative characteritistic in all this is being American, particularly middle-class American.

this is why i like metal and some rap, but a lot of metal guys are emo fags and sing abuot fantasy, rap fags are actually sometimes real about dey shit

youtube.com/watch?v=YTdTnPHq4zk

fucking mtv's fault

>rap fags are actually sometimes real about dey shit

mfw i thought i was naïve

I blame Eminem for opening so many white kids up to gangsta rap.

>pic related
Eminem was the staple for popular white kids for a long time. Then lil wayne came around and all the ones who couldn't follow Em's lyrics heard Wayne and realized they could "rap" along with him easier. This paved the way for more and more popularly accepted mediocrity in rap. Buckle in tight. Trap rap is the new thing now, and combines the influences of gangster rap(glorifying killing, stealing, fucking up your own community) with pop rap(corporate sponsorship or money in exchange for mentioning their product in their rhymes).
Also, Jews.
Buckle in tight. The ride never ends!

Originally, hip hop culture was like the groups in the 80's. Songs were mostly about just having fun at block parties or the struggles of life that just about anyone could relate to at the time. Jews and other opportunistic profiteers stepped in as financial mediators(go figure, eh?) and things got progressively degenerate over time.
You should read a book. Propaganda by Edward Bernays. Very much related to all this.

I know at least one motherfucker is gonna mention Wayne's mixtapes and how much better they are than his radio shit. Nope. Irrelevant in this matter. The popular white kids don't fuck with mixtapes and you know it.

This is the only right answer

It'll change in the next 10 years, but you won't have to worry since you'll be 6 feet under before that, gramps

Your knowledge of music leads me to believe you're no older than 23, at most.

90s
fresh prince blacks are so cool hip and funny
Also
Sassy gay friends so funny and harmless

Slippery slope.

Fuck the 90s
/thread

you forgot about
Suicidal depression and heroin abuse are really sexy

I'm more into ska and electro but I just always grew up around it.

It started for me with Kriss Kross. They were two little 13 year old nigglets named Daddy Mack and Mack Daddy who wore their pants backwards and rapped fast about missing the school bus, jumping, and warming stuff up. It was pushed onto by (((record execs))). They had no real talent, but they were able to be marketed towards white kids and allow (((them))) to shape white society. I remember thinking black people were cooler than white people. I'm embarrassed to say I continued listening to rap for many years after that. I'm still disappointed in my mother for letting me listen to that poison, but she didn't know any better. I'm just glad I now know who (((they))) are and what they are up to. I won't make similar mistakes with my son and hopefully one day he will destroy (((them)))

This is Kriss Kross

>A FUCKING LEAF

Older than that. You're just assuming that what I put is all I know on the subject, which places you closer to the age you mentioned, ironically. Not your army. Not your spoonfeeder. You get enough to go off of, if you're truly interested in the subject matter, and that's it. Lengthy, thorough explanations used to inspire others in the golden years of Sup Forums. Nowadays, more often than not, it only seems to "inspire" complacency.
Many people don't understand the value of things and are quick to treat them as disposable because they do not know what it took to create it.

Another relevant question is rap gotten more redpilled or bluepilled since it's apex in the early 2000s?

Anyone else think it's kind of going in the opposite direction? I have a lot of normie friends and they all like country and pop.

It's always been pretty self aware.

oh no the kids dont like what i like, fuck you jews

I hate Hospin. It's the go to rapper for every white person who thinks rap hasn't been good since the 90's even though they've only ever listened to 2pac and Biggie's radio songs. So now they try to throw out some Hospin rep for street cred. There's plenty of great rap out there that's not just generic stuff nor capitalizing on trying to be so different from mainstream that it ends up being shit. Lil Dicky writes some catchy fun stuff though.

Is that a dick between his eyes?

Serious question...
Is this urban youth severely brain damaged? In rare occasions I see him on the internet or TV he genuinely acts and talks like he has a severe learning disability or a traumatic brain injury.

I was just giving an example relevant with the message. I'm more into early 00 southern shit like Soulja Slim, B.G., Turk, some Boosie. Recently I really like Dumbfoundead. Also get a kick out of listening to shitty local stuff. Tempted to post one nig I went to school with.

he's a nigger, which is a pretty huge severe learning disability, mate.

>How did the cultural trend for popular white kids to start liking rap/hip-hop culture start and when will it finally end?
When I was in middle school (2003-2006), most white kids listened to alternative rock music (blink182, green day, yellowcard, panic at the disco, the killers, etc.) and this was at a majority-black school.
From 2006-10, when I was in high school, it seemed like all the rock bands were run by soft-liberal white men, and hence the music was looked at as soft.
That's when white kids (in my world, at least) started listening to rap more.
To me, it was normal though because the school was majority-black and only 30-40% white.
I find it so fucking cringe when white kids in the suburbs do it though, and will always hang out with the one fucking black kid in their school of 1,000.

rap is shit because it is the genre of niggers
thankfully there's one aryan rapper who stepped up recently

This too. Unless it was a wigger or super Chad. Like I said, I mostly listened to ska, shit like Catch 22, Streetlight Manifesto. I just got exposed to a lot of nig shit because I've always been surrounded by drugs.

Underground rap has the most lyrical complexity of any modern genre, that's why I listen to it predominately over anything else.

>Inb4 ignorant Sup Forumstard tries to counter with mainstream hip hop lyrics.

I don't think I knew a single person that didn't listen to Sublime, dub was huge. Even now most people I know listen to shit like Rebelution.

Jews produce the music and popularize it through their media monopoly. Expel the Jew, and hip-hop goes with him.

When white pop culture stops being faggy.
