Which one of them scared you the most when you were kid?

Which one of them scared you the most when you were kid?

The Thing. Made me scared of huskies as a kid.

The Blob

The Fly. Then The Thing... the guy screaming in that alien voice really creeped me out. Alien I found just mostly boring at the time.

Alien. I was way too young for that movie.

Ooohhh fuck that kitchen sink scene.

I was never really scared of any of them to be quite honest. I was a huge pussy for a long time in my childhood to the point The Matrix was too scary for me. But at some point I just stopped being scared and then I saw all three pics related. I may have even seen them all in one sleepover session actually.

The Fly. My relationship with Jeff hasn't recovered to this day.

...

The Fly 2 anyone?

The Fly, couldn't sleep after I watched it.
I thought I was gonna open my eyes and see a brandfly hanging from the ceiling and dropping on me.

The Thing. The spider head really scared me. Also to mention The Exorcist

This just made me sad as a kid. I think the Fly II is somewhat underrated. It isn't nearly as good as the first but it has its moments. Plus the effects are top notch

Well that was a very underaged gay comment.

As a kid in the 90s I went on rotton.com to scare myself. I wasn't scared of movies, gore just bothered me. I remember even seeing porn and crying. :(

...

The Thing. I was hyped up to watch it for a week, begged my parents to stay up to catch it on the cable scifi/horror network. I was just unsettled until they chase the one guy out in the snow, and he shows off that he has 10 fingered hands and moans in this really memorable, horrifying way as they burned him.

Now, Vamonos, Children scared me a lot more. That shit haunted me for years.

Why so rude?

Watched this movie when I was 17 or so.
Didn't scare me at all, seemed more like a comedy really.

...

Chucky > Freddie > Fly > Pinhead > Alien
in terms of scariness they gave me as a child

Scary movie 2

The thing. It's the first movie that let me see paranoia. Escpecially all those discussions about "Is Childs the thing" ?"

The Fly is the only scary one

The Thing, although I was more scared of The Blob. I still remember that shit.

honestly probably the fly, since i watched them with a huge age difference going fly > thing > alien. something really properly fucked up about those teleportation eggs, the dummy getting its head blown apart with a shotgun, the awful gunk splattering everywhere, the screaming and crying, it's much more visceral than alien where obviously a lot of the death and horror is offscreen, and the thing, again more suspenseful than shocking. i could deal with suspense as a kid, but ominous images and horrific dummies and body horror made the fly the stand-out film.
definitely more entertained by films the older i was when i watched them, which gives me good hope for classics i still haven't seen.

heh - this must be bait right? That's generally a patrician list.

>heh -

Trick or Treat isn't supposed to be scary, and neither is the Babadook.

Oh right this image was made to get (you)s, you already knew that.

The Thing

It wasn't the monster scenes, or the gore that got me though. It was the implication that diabeetus's computer projection made that the entire world would be overrun in a matter of weeks.
