What does Sup Forums think about bodybuilding and powerlifting? Is it vain? Degenerate? Good for society?

Most people making progress in strength training, regardless of color, are allowed to live. Not talking about athletes who are forced. People who want to improve themselves.

Been lifting for 5 years.

3 of which were super serious autistic, then I discovered bodybuilding/powerlifting is literally just all about drugs, literally chemical warfare. It's extremely degenerate.

For the last 2 years I've just been lifting 3 days a week to maintain decent aesthetics, health and strength. Still look better than 99% of the population just doing it casually now.

Do you have a pic of what undrugged mass looks like?

I'd love to get into lifting, but I don't do drugs. Ever.

so don't. If you don't plan on competing at pro level you'll be fine. they do have natty comps as well. I got huge just eating a lot and lifting 5 days a week when I was serving isreal. Now I weight more but not as strong as I used to be because I don't go as hard. If you don't exercise regularly you'll see major changes in the first around 3 months. Just set goals and it will be worth it.

It raises natural testosterone levels which is desperately needed by white people right now

>bodybuilding and powerlifting

w-what's the difference?

Bodybuilding is just for looks, which is why so many of them have such low bodyfat % such as the guy on left.

Powerlifting focuses on lifting the most amount of weight at once, which means it's more beneficial to have some fat, like dude on the right

I just want to get swole, but not like the nigger in OP's post.
Swole to the extent of "do what I want on the weekends, make the fems quiver".

I'm pretty sure the first is built around aesthetics and one is strength.
I bet you Person B could kick Person A's ass in a fistfight.

just look at ops picture. one is cultivating mass than getting as lean as possible and the other is just getting stronger.

>Questioning degeneracy of something that is beneficial to one's healt

>Cultivating mass
Mass appreciates Mozart?

Can you combine the two?

I'm only asking this because I'm actually looking to Start Stronglifts 5x5 and then move to something more for Aesthetics while retaining/building on the strength I'm supposedly meant to achive doing 5x5

>Body building
>Healthy

Sorry only one of these are beneficial

power lifting is retarded

ME lift heavy stuff ME accomplish so much

Bodybuilding is about becoming a human peacock and strutting around preening like a common faggot

Powerlifting is about being and becoming a man

Time to choose, are you a man or a cocksucking sodomite

>my supervisor at work is getting into powerlifting and shit
>had a competition a couple of weeks ago
>about to max on deadlift
>hey come here man
>supervisor walks over to the guy
>he has a bottle of fucking ammonia, tells him to sniff it
>he does and immediately walks over to the bar and lifts the bar no problem even though he had only lifted that much weight 2 times before
>made 2nd in state for that
>said he was practically blind during the entirety of it and almost fell over walking to the bar
>goes to Vegas next week for nationals

does this sound about right user

pic was me last year at 85kg and 182cm

you can easily achieve this after 3 years.

i'm a wrestler, so I don't train for looks

Dude, both in pic related are definitely on roids and have been working out for decades. The best thing to do as a beginner is just SS or SL for a month or two to get the feel of working out, then convert to some brosplits or other routines. You aren't going to look like either of them in even 5 years.

also

Sweet mass, breh.

You can be a dead cunt if you wanna be brah

lots of people do that. thats what I do now. I used to diet as in count my macro nutreints /fit/ style but now I just lift. every time i go out someone says either "you look like a fighter. do you box or do MMA?" or "you look like you could bench press a house." but, this all comes from men so IDK if its really worth it. I don't do it for vanity though. It's for self preservation as when I do go out and get degeneratly wasted I tend to not hide my power level. I find that when you do this people get upset but if they listen to what you have to say most people agree.

Fitness is good for you, doing it like either of those in the image is bad for you. You can take things too far. Fitness or your health shouldn't be your life.

This. It is your holy duty to raise your test levels to the max naturally possible level.
That means:
- lift heavy
- do cardio
- avoid contact with plastics whereever possible
- no processed food & avoid factory farmed meat
- sound diet
- sleep good hours
- no fapping / no porn

If you don't do the above you are 100% degenerate.

Pic related its a study proving test levels halved in the past 40 years. Current year normie lifestyle literally makes you a cuck.

Aesthetically i'd go for Body Building, i'd say it's good for male society as it encouraged and inspired men of all ages to better themselves, lose weight and just over all make improvements both mentally and physically.

Of course bodybuilders are either juiced to the max or just outright have insane routines.

Power-lifting is more of a strength thing, but the impressive strength feats can also inspire many to get more fit.

if you want I mean people are under this spell that you have to do one or the other. do what you want I mean research pick a plan and follow it. after a few years you know what works for you and stick with it. the important thing is sticking with it and picking realistic goals so you don't lose motivation.

>needing to lift weights
>not getting a physical labor oriented career that pays bank and is guaranteed to harden you the fuck up

I went from working in an office with a nice cushy desk and lifting 4x a week to doing concrete 12 hours a day and dropped the gym completely.

I've lost more fat and put on more muscle in the last 4 months than I did in the previous full year.

ok say that to coleman, warren or dennis. your just being an elitest prick.

powerlifters just look like big fat guys, it's ugly, Whites should be striving for beauty, refinement, quality. bodybuilding is still crude with any body sculpting, done to shit taste, put a suit on them and they also like they're fat guys in a suit. Instead get fit and build muscle mass to a point, spend the rest of the time on skills, look vastly better, as, if not more, lethal.

Fun fact

1. Women don't give a fuck about strength nor do they have any idea of it

2. Everyone except athelets train for looking good, directly or undetected for women

3. Strength training a shit. Their strength don't match 1/3 of Olympic and they look fat. They only need excuses to judge others

4. Every thread like this will flood in with fedoras saying "imma training for myself" MUH Discipline MUH ballz faggot

Too much focus on anything is degenerate. Being a "jack of all trades" is good for society.

t-thanks

Powerlifter throughout high school, college, and into late 30's here. Look like guy on right in OP's pic.

It's fucking terrible for your body. My joints are in incessant pain. Severe osteoarthritis. Have to constantly exercise to prevent turning into a blob.
I study jiu jitsu and kenpo now, but I'm still hurting all of the time.

Low test leaf. How does it feel to have to clean off your glasses and keep a longer haircut to hide your balding shit body.

Low test dyel faggot detected

even powerlifting isnt beneficial but often they sacrifice health for progress

what im worried about most is enlarged heart
its like more than every second guy who lifted continuously has it

>lifting for women

nobody has ever lifted longer than 6 months with that as motivation

Done martial arts since being 14 years old. Started with Boxing, than Thai Boxing and after the place was sadly filled with Turks i switched to Wing Tsun.
Coach was very good but became a Moron when he divorced his wonderful Wife and married one of his Students, a divorced hag with two kids. Training went to shit after that because she couldnt stand full contact and needed Money, so he made us pay for things that were free before.

Quited and moved on to MMA. Nice people, good training. I combine that with running in the nearby Woods and Calisthenics in general.

Just for myself to stay fit. My Wife joined my recently and now we are doing the workout together.

Yes it is degenerate. A lot of bodybuilders die at an early age. Overtraining is detrimental to your body.

I was expecting this kind of denial come out

Women don't care if you squat 5 plates instead of 4 but every woman I've been with have commented on how they like how strong I am. Lift them up and throw them around during sex it's fun and they like feeling safe with you.

Person a and person b would gas out incredibly quickly

Neither is a good goal for health

Me too. Approx 1.5x a regular one.
But the doc says it's ok. Because of my size, a smaller heart would have to work ridiculously hard.
As it is I have, thankfully, a low heart rate and EXTREMELY low blood pressure

Yes but real fights do not last 15 minutes like they do in sports. It's much more beneficial to be big and intimidating than to be scrawny and scrappy when it comes to self defense especially when it comes to avoiding the fight in the first place.

Lifting is very good for women, true toning can only occur with high resistance, and women are mostly unable to become bulky.

Both are degenerate in their final form, but neither are nessesarily degenerate.

You can be a body builder, even competitively, without fucking up your body or juicing. You just can't be a pro bodybuilder.

Same is true for powerlifting. I know several guys who are in local clubs and compete at regional amateur meets and they are just big strong guys who lift weights and eat right. Not the (sponsored) monsters at world's strongest man.

Professional bodybuilding and powerlifting are both sponsorship driven advertising/entertainment, which is degenerate.

- Poo in toilet
- Clean up trash

>If you don't do the above you are 100% degenerate.

I wonder if my journey from far left to right wing liberal conservative nationalist caused my increase in fitness, or was caused by it?

>dreams

Only strongmen

Rise Above Anime

>- avoid contact with plastics whereever possible
Pajeet, why be so autistic?

The sad pathetic thing is they think they look good, so good in fact take their shirt off and go strut around at a beach.

Exercise is good to stimulate glands in the body, it benefits physical and mental health.

As with anything, moderation is the key. Exercising to look like an inflated bubble where your shoulder is bigger than your head is a desperate attempt to gain attention. People who are extremely buff have only that to show for themselves, and it's been proven time and time again that while they excel at physical activities, their 'muscle' located in their skull is underdeveloped.

The guy in the pic is 4 times world's strongest man champion.

He probably doesn't give a shit what people think about him when he takes off his shirt

Nothing wrong with the concept, but the culture around it is tainted with substance abuse and HOMOSEXUALITY

It is pretty pathetic. It's a modern phenomenon started by gays and taken up by the autists on Misc and /fit/.

If you want to get in shape, play sport or do physical work, not preening in a gym.

Nice. Ive been lifting too. I never cut so im just a big mass. I dont even care about the looks. Im just doing to have strenght

>Was the strongest person alive
>Pathetic

Whatever floats your boat.

I think modern "bodybuilding" is pretty ridiculous though.

Bodybuilding is gay.

Regular lifting and running is very good

I run 20k a week and lift 3 times a week. Purely for conditioning and strenght to. Running is the best exercise. I have more respect for runners over lifters

For anyone off roids or other drugs, strength IS aesthetics, you will be very hard pressed to get one without the other.

>What does Sup Forums think about bodybuilding

This is about the best you can hope to achieve natty.

>US_college_swim_team.jpg
>college swim team
>swim team

Go to any gym in the country and you'll find bigger, more aesthetic natty lifters than these low-mass half-ottermode swimmers.
