The reddit essentials but, you already knew that ;)

>Lost Highway

You prefer this to Blue Velvet, Mulholland Drive, Eraserhead, Inland Empire and FWWM? Don't get me wrong I like Lost Highway a lot but, it always felt weaker than these films. But, then again people have different tastes.

bait/9, its too obvious not to give you

let's be honest.. those same movies are frequently discussed here and even the people in this very thread you KNOW want to include them in their post but they're too afraid they'll be laughed at. so they only include one or two pleb shit and cover their tracks with try-hard KIN--- "cinema" that they eat shit with

tell me i'm wrong

>Someone has a different opinion than me, so it must be bait

...

I think lost highway has more rewatch value. I also love the general aesthetic and creepy atmosphere of it. Mulholland dr. has many similarities and i can easily understand why so many people think it's a "perfect film" but for me lost highway resonates more personally.

My second favourite is inland empire

Twin Peaks is Lynch's (and Frost's for that matter) masterpiece anyways. All else are second tier in relative comparison to TP.

Season 3 is about to be a wildride. 16 Lynch+Frost episodes.
SIXFUCKINGTEEN.

is that the long goodbye? if so good taste buddy

I have to disagree. I think Eraserhead will be remembered as Lynch's magnum opus.

It is Lynch's magnum opus.

classic cases of 'i have over 500 ratings on imdb! 3 of them are foreign and 7 are from before 1960!'

you were saying?

Plebs fear these threads because they fear that they might be insulted.

>Old foreign films are bad
Stop memeing buddy.

>Old foreign films are bad

that's not what i was saying. read my original reply. i'm talking about the people who obviously enjoy the so called "reddit" movies but don't want to be called a redditor so they include the few old/foreign movies that they've seen to try and mask that fact.

End yourself, stupid shit.

Hit a nerve there, didn't he?

I don't understand how it's "reddit" to include a few of your favorite foreign films. Having variety isn't a bad thing.

you are wrong

those movies are pleb trash and it has nothing to do with how popular or old they are

>classic cases of 'i have over 500 ratings on imdb! 3 of them are foreign and 7 are from before 1960!'
Are you retarded? Can't speak for others, but mine has 2 anime titles and one b&w title, not to mention that the oldest film besides All Quiet On The Western Front is Evil Dead, a well known horror film that isn't obscure in the slightest. You're a classic display of an individual that's frightened by something that's not a Nolan blockbuster, so he feels the need to call everyone pseuds and what not to feel better about himself. Fucking grow up, faggot.

...

Lower right?

Weekend (1967)

i'd say you guys have poor reading comprehension but since four of you fuckers are having trouble understanding my reply i'll admit i'm the idiot here.

let me explain with this dude since i'm sure it's one of you

this person is clearly into the typical "reddit essential" movies because they included shit like to live and die in la and highway man. these are objectively mediocre movies he got from his dad's movie collection. now here's the thing. these are traits of a guy who REALLY wanted to include the "reddit essentials" like the usual suspects, la confidential, chinatown, black rain and ESPECIALLY true romance.. but if he had just outright posted those movies it would be way too fucking obvious and he'd get laughed at for being a redditor. so he stuck with the lesser known ones to hide that fact.

but to add flavor to his 3x3 he also needed some foreign movies too.. cause that's what you do. nothing wrong with foreign movies. but this person obviously doesn't see many because he went with the most entry-level foreign movies you can think of. we're talking lars von trier, werner herzog and jean-pierre melville. most would go with kirisawa but this guy obviously knows better than to pull that shit.

so what the fuck does this all mean? well, this poster makes it out like enjoying those movies makes you some reddit faggot (he's right) but the truth of the matter is everyone here likes that reddit shit whether they want to admit it or not.

Have a (you)

I'm this guy and where do you see titles below 1960's and foreign shit outside of chinese cartoons? Where do you even see something obscure on the list? Why did you use my 3x3 as an example of something that's it's clearly fucking not, which you were also proven to be guilty here ?

this guy *

>2/5

TDK is overrated, Alien is better than Aliens, and Terminator is better than T2

5/9

Which 5?

You asked me that last time.

>Once upon a time in america and The Thing
My nigga, those are just outside my top 10

Movie on the top right?

the tree of life

what´s wrong
i guess, except maybe for T2

Pls no hate :-)

From left to right:
>Never saw Guardians of the Galaxy.
>I honestly thought this was the best film of 2015 next to Deus exmachina so good choice user.
>Entertaining movie but I wouldn't put it in top 9 personally.
>Hated the Avengers movie, thought it was boring visually and just destruction porn.
>No idea which movie this is so probably haven't seen it.
>Fun film, a bit overrated though imo.
>Return of the King was kino overall but I felt it dragged on towards the end.
>Overused storyline and generally uncreative save for the creature designs though this is more Wayne Barlowes hand.
>I've never seen a full Harry Potter film and I don't know which one this is.

Overall 5/10.

The middle one is Interstellar.

You would like to check this out for oscar predictions:

>TWBB
>NCFOM
>Her
>Tarantino
You're all right, friendo.

2.0 is garbage and lacks what made the original interesting. That's what's wrong, user.

...

that's some pretty good taste right there

I was just watching this video youtube.com/watch?v=JmnYqKl1LzE

Where's Inception?

It's already on your list.

Hes saying those are people who have watched like 4 foreign films and then put all of them in their top 10 to seem cultured, not that the foreign movies in the lists are bad

He is a fucking moron.

He essentially said people like reddit tier films, but put obscure titles just to increase their image around here. That's retarded, since this is a board that should specialize in films and should have their taste accordingly. If someone has Foreign titles on their list or some older, more obscure films, it doesn't necessary mean they're reddit fucks looking for ego boosting while calling others fucking plebs. Fuck you, fuck him and fuck those alike.

Disgusting projection. Bet you were like that before you came out.
Good for you but still, don't blame me for your shit. I only admire TDK from that list, but that's because I used to be obsessed with it. The rest were either unimpactful or I haven't seen them.

based on which ones I actually rewatch the most

People don't even try on these anymore like they used to. The only people who watch films are in the letterbox meme general.

Shut up criterion nerd

>one color movie

GTFO, pleb.

good meme list

Criterion LITERALLY has released almost every single movie notable from the 20th century at this point. They run the movie release game.

>Criterion LITERALLY has released almost every single movie notable from the 20th century
spotted the imdb drone

thanks, here's the real one

bottom right? xD

>The only people who watch films are in the letterbox meme general.
no

XD

>the only people who watch films are in a shitty /soc/ thread
contradicting yourself here buddy.

>muh circlejerk

sage is nto a downvote, newfag

pretty gr8
I like this one too but i have what some would call an irrational hatred for dazed and confused
Mean Girls is great. dont be ashamed my dude
Oddly enough the only film in this that really triggers me is Basterds.
Pretty good except for
>Holy Mountain
I literally cannot help but roll me eyes when people pretend that film is something more than Jodorowsky wanking himself because he cant film a good story for shit
why the fuck is Robocop appearing so much ITT? Its really not that good
>The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford
Honestly you could have left the rest blank and this would still be a great post. If this image had one more slot i would put that film in it.
... is that middle one from the animated lord of the rings? its been awhile so i cant tell.
Underrated IMO
ok pretty solid so far, all pretty good action flicks that are a lot of fun to watch, i too think speed racer is underrated...
>fast and furious
I for the life of me will never understand why anybody could enjoy a film with Vin Diesel in it that isnt the Iron Giant.

>Robocop not that good
>Despite having
>One of the greatest action scenes of all time
>One of the best action movie scores of all time
>Best satire of all time
>Great effects
>Great directing
>One of the best character arcs of all time
>Two of the best death scenes of all time
>Intelligent story
>Flawless pacing

middle movie?

Sleeping Beauty is objectively the best disney movie

human condition pleb

What's /3x3/ opinion on Une femme coquette?

>my movies are "films" because they're in black and white and where made before 1980

kill yourself, pretentious cunt. Your taste in movies doesn't make you look smart.

>actually discouraging people to not watch the best films ever made

>actually being this insecure when the rest of the board is cape shit and reality tv

m8 stick to batman.

>best films ever made

>"if you disagree go back to le capeshit pleb XD"

Jesus Christ. You need to be culled.

I'd like to see if you atleast recognize the films before you go calling people pretentious, it's more pretentious to shit on movies you've never even heard of.

I'm not shitting on your movies. I'm just pointing out that they aren't the best ever made, and i'm dead sure you only cherry picked them because you think they make you look smart to have on your list.
