>It's an OP makes another trek thread whilst the other one is still up episode

also bump

Shit I searched the catalog but I guess not well enough.

jesus christ they need to give people time to step back before firing those things

Are you trying to ruse Me? I can't find it.

>The season-long storyline revolves around "an incident and an event inStar Trekhistory that's been talked about but never been explored".

So what will it be about? Also the ship looks like crap.

>it's a CBS orders a TV show but has no idea what the fuck do and drives out any sort of talent involved in it so what's left is a CW tier drama in space about black lesbians

>Kira's uniform gets sluttier and sluttier every season
Mildly concerned but also intrigued

...

Mostly agree
Though TNG did better kino episodes than DS9 despite DS9 having better overall stories

thicc

That's not fair. TNG is just as good as DS9

I got through TOS and TNG. Just sort of starting DS9, which is why I made the thread. I'll do Voyager and Enterprise and then the old movies.

That's a bad order because once DS9 ends, it's all down hill

VOY first is best since it's not the worst nor the best

Who's the best /trek/ cinematic villain?

>Hard Mode: No Kahn

I like to think I can see the good in all the series. Although I heard Enterprise is especially bad.

SHAKESPEARE

ORIGINAL

KLINGON

ENT will be torture for you if you can "see the good in things"
Because ENT is a damned waste
For every good idea they have, they limply slop their dick onto the TV screen

Remember when the Klingons were basically the same as Romulans, except less mysterious?

why are TOS Klingos so inconsistent

I'm watching Enterprise at the moment and really enjoying it.

It's way better than people say it is. And after coming from Voyager, it's top Trekkino

Because Klingons were just Russians in space
But as time went on, the Russians went from being "Scary equally strong foreigners" to "Some assholes in Asia with a crumbling economy"

I like VOY better than ENT, desu

Enterprise wasn't that bad. I actually enjoyed season 3 and 4 for the most part. Too bad they had to rush things in s4.

>Had to rush season 4
>wasted two episodes in the overall meaningless "mirror" universe

Never change, Enterprise fans.

Those were the better episodes of ENT though

No, because the show got cancelled mid season you tard.

The Romulans were the Chinese then?

TNG turned Klingons into Space Viking-Pirates

>Klingons are so stupid that one moon exploding destroyed their entire capability for war

>Best episodes of the series don't feature a single main or even reoccurring character

I swear, it's like you guys aren't even trying

The Romulans were better than the Chinese in the 60s
The Chinese in the 60s were a mess

The Romulans, I guess were anti-America

Could you even tell in ENT?
Everyone was so fucking bland and personality-less
That's why the Mirror shit was good
Because tat least then the characters had personality and goals and passion

REEEEEEEEEEEEEE

YOU LOSE A PLAYER CHOOSE ONE OF THE THREE

Delete this episode

Is this really that bad?

Yes
It's really bad

The only redemption is Quark/Odo interaction

PLEEAAAAAAAAAAASEEEEEE

If you watched TNG, it's a bit like The Royale; some people insist that it's pure kino, and some people insist that it's pure shit, but the truth is really somewhere in the middle.

It's almost as bad as Keiko/Molly episodes

No one calls that episode of DS9 kino

ALLAMORAIN!

THREE FOUR

Search through the archives and you'll find people defending it for all sorts of reasons.

>It's an O'Brien makes up something out of his ass to save the day episode

>lighthearted episode about first contact
>subverts expectations of federation and ferengi diplomacy
>quark and odo play well off each other
>the space-jumanji aliens are entertaining and memorable

these are stretches, but for some reason i unironically enjoy this episode

>it's a "universe shits on O'Brien for no reason episode

I love those episodes

The Wounded is not only a "O'Brien Must Suffer" episode but also one of the top 10 TNG episode bar none

I felt like he managed to get some clause in his contract where they couldn't get rid of him but the writers hated his character so they made his life constant suffering.

I literally can't think of another character that gets shit on this hard with such consistency.

Gul Dukat is the best DS9 character

I'm glad there's always a comfy Star Trek thread up.

The Wounded is actually my favorite TNG episode. Great stuff.

Picard probably
he was raped by the Borg, had to live a life and lose it, lost various love interest and they even killed his nephew and brother in the movies

>Dukat
>not Garak
>not Weyoun

>we will never get a miniseries about the pirate renegade Dukat and his crew
>we won't see them jerry rig their new bird of prey and outfit it with upgrades over time
>we won't see the origin of Damar or see Dukat and Ziyal grow closer
>you will never near the sweet sound of Dukat's hard oak voice again

Plenty of people have it worse, but if it's a picard themed episode you weren't sure what was going to happen. He might get fucked up or he might solve a mystery on his vacation.
If it's an Obrian episode you KNOW he is going to be living in pure hell.
Garak is overrated, what I REALLY wanted was him to actually betray them in some horrible fashion riiiiiiiight at the end.

Don't you get it? Garak is the single most powerful Cardassian at the end of the series. He got there by manipulating everyone, from the Dominion to the Federation and your beloved Dukat.

>It's a the Doctor gets sexually aroused while inside of Seven of Nines tight borg body which causes her to get slightly wet episode.

japanese whalers

That was a great episode

Respect to Jeri Ryan for emulating the Doctor's personality

The closest thing to a villain in the film is this prick.

Also, did he end up becoming the founder of Section 31? He's got a Klingon Tricorder updated with Vulcan Science Academy data and a phaser/disruptor?

I'm kicking myself for not bothering to see Beyond until just now. It was shocking to see a Trek film that's less than 20 years old and isn't absolutely god awful.

go to bed Pegg

Beyond was so good
It was truly Trekish
Maybe my expectations were lowered so far by 09 and STID

I think that if 09 was followed by Beyond, the NuTrek series would be really healthy

>falling for the "Star Trek: First Contact" is good meme

The last good Trek film is from 1991

It was hardly perfect, but out of those 3 movies it was the only one that actually felt like star trek. Mainly because the characters were actually like the characters, not just crude pop culture caricatures written by two hacks who've never watched an episode of trek in their lives.

Agreed

FC was bad
I mean not horrible, but bad none the less.
It had Picard undo all his character development and Data act like a bitch

It should have been Picard vs Sisko
That would have been great
Imagine a plot about how the Borgified humans try to come home after the destruction of the collective and Sisko refuses while Picard wants it
Now that's good conflict

The only thing worse than /trek/ films is having trekkies try to rewrite them.

Nothing can be worse than Nemesis

Maybe it's because I haven't watched it since it came out (for obvious reasons) but I wouldn't even put Nemesis in the bottom 3 any more.

here's my idea for Nemesis

>the clone Picard is actually the Picard on the Enterprise
>the one in the previous movies was the clone and that's why he acted different
>the real Picard was in a Romulan prison but escapes stealing a romulan ship
>stuff happens
>the final act is the two Picards having to join forces against the Romulans

Watch it again
I'd put it at the bottom
Even over 3 and 5.

Just switch Voyager and Enterprise and it will be accurate.

I thought we had already throughly blown out the Enterprise faggots in this thread already.

5 at least has the saving grace of being funny bad.

VOY is better than ENT in my opinion

There are a few episodes of VOY that transcend its shittiness
But ENT never does it

VOY has great characters that are executed poorly
ENT has bland ass fucking nobodies executed like.... no bodies

>But what does God need with a starship?

5 is at least quotable

Enterprise is bland, but Voyager actually causes me pain. The characters, the episodes, the behind-the-scenes bullshit, it's all so painful.

>elderly uhura's erotic fan dance

Dissagree. Voyager has one good character and she wasn't even introduced until half way through the shows run. Enterprise had four: Trip, T'pol, Phlox, and Shran.

VOY is a wave
There are good episodes and very bad episodes
ENT is just a flat line of mediocre forgetablility.

The better VOY episodes are much better than the better ENT episodes

I give Enterprise more points because it was actually improving towards the end.

It never feels like Voyager is making efforts to improve itself. Season 7 is just as haphazardly awful as Season 1.

I think we can all agree that there was an insidious infection in trek during that era that is the source of discomfort.

I can feel myself devolving right now. Wait, maybe I'm hyper-evolving? Oh no, I'm actually transforming into another species, wow!

Did I blow your mind yet?

I'd agree with that, inasmuch that ENT was improving
But even then it was still very bland

Good VOY episodes still outstripped it

I stand by that great VOY episodes were like "mildly good TNG" episodes
Whereas good ENT episodes were like bad DS9 episodes

DS9 had no bad episodes.

MOVE ALONG HOME

"VACATION IS CANCELED, FUN IS FORBIDDEN."

>DS9 has no good episodes

fixed

Voyager Internet Defense Force, please.

Hi, I'm recently getting into this with TOS. I'm like 11 or so episodes in and it's pretty good. Only episode I openly disliked so far was Dagger of the Mind, that was just insufferably dull. Favourite so far is prolly Corbomite Maneuver or The Naked Time, maybe The Conscience of the King but that's mostly because of it's Shakespeareaness

Anyway, the point of this post is: what are the general bad episodes so I can skip, or at least prepare myself?

>What is "The Muse"

90% of the bad TOS episodes are in season 3.

Just watch every episode of seasons 1 and 2 with an open mind and you'll be fine.

don't bother with season 3

actually just watch "spock's brain" then drop it, you'll have a good laugh

Even I would never go that far. DS9 and VOY are brother/sister shows.

>don't bother with The Enterprise Incident
You what mate.

A good Lwaxana episode.

...

DS9 was the beginning of mouthbreather trek.

You forgot the first episode with her and Mr. Hom.
