Bump

What's good about it?

I liked the idea for "I'm the lead character in a harem manga but I'm gay" but it never really went anywhere.

Is it like that or is it actually a decent story?

capital i ii iii

It is the sorrows of young werther of our generation

That sentence doesn't make sense

It's masterpiece

if that trash is good I wonder how shit gook literature must be

There was a European book called The sorrows of Young Wurther. It caused a rash of suicides for awhile

Implying anything can remotely come close to Mai chan's daily life

Top 10 in English:
>Cormac McCarthy, Blood Meridian
>Toni Morrison, Beloved
>John Kennedy Toole, A Confederacy of Dunces
>Earnest Hemingway, The Old Man & the Sea
>Herman Melville, Moby Dick
>Michael Ondaatje, The English Patient
>F. Scott Fitzgerald, The Great Gatsby
>Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, Evangeline
>Charles Bukowski, Ham on Rye
>LM Montgomery, Anne of Green Gables/ Mark Twain, The Adventures of Tom Sawyer (these last 2 must be read together, then write fanfic in which Anne and Tom meet)

What's blood meridian actually about? Also you missed infinite jest

Give me a link to an English version

Infinite Jest is great
Blood Meridian is a western, about a boy, a band of travelers, savage Indians, and possibly the devil, or something worse.

Eh not super a fan of westerns. Can be a but we wuz

This isn't an ordinary western. This is an epic and the greatest American epic since Moby Dick (another story with a boy, a band of travelers, exotic savages, and possibly the devil, or something worse)

Great book

Roberto Bolano: 2666
Ernesto Sabato: The Tunnel
Andres Neuman: Traveler of the Century
Carlos Fuentes: The Death of Artemio Cruz

I'm posting LatAm stuff because they are EXTREMELY (and I can't underline that any more) underappreciated
