This. I secretly hope the director actually doesn't believe in the holocaust either and although the movie appears to be pro-holocaust, he's actually secretly making fun of people who think it's real.
Irving is portrayed pretty respectfully in the trailer. I'd imagine if a genuine belief was directing they'd have tried to bend the truth in the trailer to make it seem like he made stuff up.
