Christian Pulisic general
Seems he was right all along.
Christian Pulisic general
Seems he was right all along.
Bump.
Oh yeah, lets ignore the greatest athlete to ever play the game of soccer ...
In 10 years there will be daily CP22 threads on here.
But stay classy.
Screencap this.
I'm sure most people here would agree
Only reason to not play with the best is if you cant handle being away from home and that cripples your development.
Mememememe, pls kil yrdlf. If you have soccer in your blood you would go abroad. Look at Eriksen.
This will kill MLS shills.
thats the thing with americans though, and dont admit its not true. even in traditional countries they are quickest to turn down and discount americans , even for a random o verrated brazilian. so americans are not so excited to head abroad. althought, admittedly, people now that germany has superior culture (finally stopped worshiping epl) and now people are thinking twice about where they go to be developed and even where to play as a pro.
i think the us is a very unique place, in that players dont just go for money, but they go for comfort, and in some way think about what their development will do for the game in general in the country. essentially, they only have first world problems and think things through instead of just 10,000 guys jumping off a cliff and eventually 1 survives like most countries and their "development" programs
no one denies this at all, its the strawman or all strawmen. literally 1 (one) guy has turned down going abroad recently, and that was jordan morris. the other most famous case was landon, and he is the best player the country has ever had.
> best
You mean """famous"""· I pardon?!
CP22 was scouted as a12 yo. If you aren't scouted by the age of 18-19 you can still settle for the MLS and be an okey football player.
Oh, hey, never mind me, I'm just worth 85 Mio. €$ at the age of 19.

Pulisic didnt show anything in Borrusia Dortmund, he will be the player on the level of Shaqiri in 3 years, playing in Stoke and being "star" of USMNT
Absolutely seething croatian slav monkey diaspora
Bump for CP22.
"Yay let'sn boo them for not having a 200 year history of soccer ..." Instead of having them have a competitive sqad and THEN beat them.
Will bump this until 2022.
>Landycakes
Pulisic is unironically already better.
Why are you obsessed with him?
This
He’s ok for an 19 year old, but he has maybe 5 good games a season and all the Dortmund and American shills go “WOW BEST PLAYER EVER HES GONNA GO TO MADRID AND WIN THE BALLON DOR”
I remember reading a few months ago in the guardian (don’t laugh) that a Dortmund fan thought Christian Pulisic would lead the team to win the UCL. Now they’d be lucky to finish above APOEL
Landon Donovan had a few seasons abroad and flopped. He even played for Bayern the one year they lost the league
Dortmund's problems have nothing to do with Pulisic. They fucked up big time getting Bosz
It’s a joke he isn’t shortlisted for ballon d or desu. He also plays in the toughest confederation in the world for his national team so they should take that into account as well.
Pulisic is better than Mooy and any aussie literally who.
I know but I was just trying to say that Dortmund fags overestimated him
If he actually wrote that piece himself it's fairly well structured and insightful for a guy who's had to sacrifice much of his formal education to dedicate his time to soccer desu
Hard for a young athlete to think globally like that
Who would even disagree with that statement in the first place?
There's been a huge battle between the "we need to keep and develop talent here and support MLS" crowd and the "we need to send talent wherever is best for them" group for a while
If you're for developing Americans abroad the implicit message is that you're fine with our own domestic stuff suffering
of course that would imply that we have anything here to actually suffer more
Klinnsmann was sacked partially because he's part of the "fuck MLS, go where's best" crowd
What kind of mentality is that?
My country has a pretty shit league, that's why 90% of the national team players play in the bigger leagues
We want young talent to go to a club that knows how to nuture talent.
Our leage lives on 3rd rate brazilians and swedish players. Club supporters don't care about the players' nationality.
We're a bigger country with a self sufficiency mentality I suppose, the idea of depending on the rest of the world to host our kids doesn't make sense to many of us
We think we can throw money at the MLS and FA and a crop of talented and well developed players are going to pop up and it simply hasn't been the case so
I'm particularly pissed with the MLS as a Columbus resident since this whole moving fiasco has pretty much outed the whole organization as a totally money grubbing cash grab scheme so I'm pretty much on board with shipping anyone remotely talented anywhere else they can do better
America is never going to be an attractive place for native or foreign players to develop themselves, mostly because every player wants to play in the CL or EL. Chances of getting scounted by bigger clubs are bigger in europe as well.
I actually really like the USMNT and it was hard seeing you guys lose to >Timbaland & Tomato. If you guys have any talent, get those niggas to europe as fast as possible.
>take on 92/100
Is he really that good?
i'm glad pulisic pointed these out.
1. eu laws prevent non-european teenagers from playing professionally in europe. americans aren't desperate enough like africans to pick up their entire family and move to europe so their soccer kids can get naturalized and play.
2. the american soccer leagues are poor at developing talent. if you're not going to have any kind of pro/rel at least let the best 16 year olds play profession and let them sharpen their skills. in 3-4 years they might be good enough to move to europe anyway.
but the reasons behind both these two reasons are that this country just isn't focused on soccer. we have a lot of other things going on and we don't value the sport as much as europeans south americans, not the mens game anyway.
all these jonny-come-latelys upset that hte us isn't in the world cup, where were you every time you pass a park or soccer field and you don't see kids playing? thats the root of this "problem"
So basically we arent a shit enough country so kids will be desperate enough to throw their life away to MAYBE make it?
Tbh he is the best player on the team atm, not saying much when you look at their performances lately but he was probably the best player on the pitch when they played bayern
bump for (u)
This and only this.
