I've used VLC for... almost fucking ten years with next to no issues. Sometimes the picture distorts if I move from windowed to fullscrreen, but that's about it. Yet people constantly talk shit about it. What's so bad about it?

Hit "O" and then click keys, save image (auto), and pick whatever key you want for instant screenshots.
Never heard of this before. Where is this option? I probably enabled it when I set it up originally but I wonder if every screenshot I've taken for the last year is at 90% of it's full quality.

Answered my own question in case anyone else needs it, when you use the default alt+I to open the screenshot dialogue it lets you choose the quality as well as the file type so whenever you use the automatic screenshot function it retains it
